I had played one round with the Apex Tour before and didn't think it was much better than any other premium ball. Since I had some new ones left, I played with them this afternoon once again. The ball changed my mind. It's long without sacrificing feel or distance. Softness-wise, the Callaway HX Blue is softer but this ball has a nice feel to it. It putts well, it's easy to stop off full iron shots and checks up nicely on short chips and pitches. It was also very windy today and the ball held it's line quite well in the wind as well. Also, I can find these balls for about the same price as Pro V1s so they aren't too terribly expensive. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Pro V1, HX |

Hogan Apex
I had just started playing the Hogan Apex Edge Pro Irons, And decided to try these balls, and compare them to the PRO-V....Pro-V is a good ball, make no mistake about it! But I do believe that the Hogan APEX truly is the finest ball ever made to date....I am rather long off of the tee, And I had lost some distance switching TO the PRO-V from two piece balls. Now I have more distance than ever, 280 something is about average. But I hit 3 or 4 a round over 300 with these balls. About 20 Yards more off the tee for me than the PRO-V, and the feel around the green is unmatched by even the STRATA balls. The Iron play is great, higher spin rates than any other ball I've played, at least that's how they play with my wedges. I honestly do feel like they are the most complete ball ever made..Longer than any other, with more spin/control and better feel off the putter too... |

This ball is truly a great ball. The length is definately longer then the Pro V. The only thing to be careful about this ball is that is seems to be a little soft. I can definately spin it, if I want to. Also you have to be careful with chiping, because it will sit on you. I guess you have to get use to it. As far as feel and stopping the ball reminds me of a Titleist Professional, which was a great ball. The Hogan definately has the length over all of them and some great feel. Have been playing this ball for about 6 weeks now. Although expensive I truly believe this ball flies farther, holds the greens better, and putts truer than the Pro V1. Took 3 balls to the course today, Pro V1, Maxfli A10, and Apex Tour and although I had a marginal round I'm sticking with the Apex Tour. Just a better ball overall. Apex Tour Balls
As a Golfer for many years (20) I have learned that balls do make a difference in your shot making ability. I was doing the normal golf shop walk around when i noticed the new Hogan Balls. Considering that I play Apex Plus irons i thought what the heck let's give them a try. My frist swing at the course with these was fantastic. The ball felt like butter of my 6 iron. I was able to control this ball with ease. Fade it, Draw it, Knock downs.. it did not matter the ball seemed to be flawless. Putting was my next test. The ball rolled very true and gave me great response of my putter. All in all it gave me alot more confidence to try to make shots that you would not normally go for. I can honestly say that switch to this golf ball took 2-4 strokes per 18 which can be the difference of making par or just missing it. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Pro V1 and HX Blue |

I played my first round with the Apex today in a scamble format. So I didn't have to use my shot every time. Well, I was very happy with the ball. I hit plenty of great shots with it. Distance was great, feel great, held the greens(fastest I have played this year!) great. I will be playing this ball for a while. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Strata TU2 |
