This ball plays much better than the PRO V1 and V1x. It is quite long off the tee and sticks very nicely on approach shots. Butter feel on the putting green! I strongly recommend this ball for anyone seeking exceptional spin, extraordinary feel and good distance.

Nice soft feel off the tee and long! Nice feel off the putter. Only negative is that it shreds pretty easily.

With the exception of the cover, this is a good ball (these were the new scratch resistent model). Long with my driver and accurate with my irons. But cover shreds on all full wedge shots. Putting you have to get used to, comes off the face a little hot. Would be a great value if the cover would not shred.

Talked to Rep at Demo days and he contacted the shop I bought them at and swapped out for new box. Great customer service!

Ball was given to me by God (found under a bush in perfect condition - don't worry no one else was even close to puting this one here recently). Good ball, but let's not get carried away with over-the-top reviews. It performs well. It didn't seem as stable as other balls I prefer - in wind or with working the ball a little bit. Putting seemed kind of dinky. Didn't like it for the short game in general. It reminds me and feels a lot like the Strata Ace (Not at all a bad thing - but I think these are about $15 a dozen cheaper). As Sheryl Crowe crows, "If it makes you happy, it can't be that bad..." I just don't know why you would spend the same amount of money for a Hogan as you would for that ball that all other balls are compared to and measure themselves against.

Great Ball. Takes a little time to get use to the "Umbrella" ball flight, a few shots that you hit look like they're not going to make it but then woosh, they're on the green. I rate the ball much higher than the Pro V1. Gets lots of bite. Wouldn't say it was any longer off the tee, well not for me, but I'm not a big hitter. As for ball durability, I played a round without any scuffing apart from when I smashed into the back of the ball with a wedge from a deep divot which any ball wou;ld have suffered. Recommend anyone get this ball as it's a pleasure to play with. Must be good cos this is the first piece of golf equipment I have ever felt compelled to review. Just to finish...comes of the putter face really well too.

I first played this ball in wet conditions which means the ball plugs as my home course is of a clay base. I really liked the feel of the ball, it was very soft but solid, almost as if it was a balata ball. The cover was very very soft so when I knifed a wedge the cover was severly cut to the extent that I changed back to my normal ball, a pro V1. The ball was probably the longest ball I've ever used. When I hit it it seemed to feel like the ball exploded off the face. All shots spun a heap which caused chaos for the first few holes but once I got used to it I found I could attack the pins and get close. It flew well into a head wind and survived the blistering crosswinds that battered the course on the day. The ball was soft long and spun alot but it costs so much that because of its soft cover I don't think i can afford to restock my supply. The money could probably be better used for lessons.

WOW. I found this ball in excellent condition just off the second hole of the course. I put it in my pocket and accidently used it on the third hole instead of my Pro V1. I liked it so much I finished the round with it and I found no difference except that it seemed to have a better feel around on on the greens. I hit drives on average of 285 and I love to hit long iron shots. This ball was durable enough for me because at the end of the round it looked exactly like it did when I started. Try it for yourself.

A ball like no other. This ball sticks to the green like no other. Distance is fine and has a very soft feel. Better than Titlist's best and cheaper too.

WOW! With all the hype of the proV1 I thought this couldn't be any better. I bought these and these last longer than the proV1, spin more than the proV1, and have a better feel in my opinion than the proV1. This is an all around better golf ball. You don't save alot by buying these ($5) but the fact is it performs better and scuffs alot less. By the way, the all time worst ball is Strata (those scuff so badly you have to switch balls every 3 holes.)

Everyone says how wonderful the Titleist Pro V1 is, and I have to agree, but I have found THE ball for me. The Apex Tour is equal in every aspect as the Pro V1. It's as long/longer, spins and/or stops on a dime as well/better. Ball flight with the Apex is penatrating, no ballooning, and easily workable(draw or fade). The first model's cover was easily damaged in a few holes, but the newer scuff resistant cover does last longer with no compromise to performance.Played 30 holes with one ball.
