The club is amazing. As soon as you pick it up if you do somethign wrong it breaks. I just revieved it today and I have already had to loosen the tension so it will break more easily. I plan to go to the range tomorrow and test ti good, but from what i can tell it would be a great 5 iron on its owm. I rarely hit 3,4,5 irons straight. They always go dead right, but in my yard and i have about a good 175 yards to hit the ball, i hit it dead straight after i had worked with it a little bit. I didnt followthru well thogh cuz i didnt want to break anything. All else i can say is GET THIS CLUB.....NOW

I have never been an advocate of swing training aids, they always promise to lower your score by a few strokes and the only thing they lower is your bank account. The Medicus 2000 is different, this thing really works! Using the Medicus you can clearly identify the flaws in your swing since the bottom line is...if you can't hit a ball with it, your swing has flaws. Working with the Medicus you will develop a better tempo and swing path that will impart a straighter, longer ball flight...sounds like an ad, but its true. When the club breaks you can quickly identify where the flaw is and address it. Have patience! The fact of the matter is that most people have their swing flaws so ingrained in muscle memory that using the Medicus makes them frustrated since it challenges one to use the correct technique. The reward for this patience is a good golf swing. When you think about it, we would be much better off if most things were like the Medicus...use it right, or it won't work! In my case, the Medicus helped me to slow down my swing a bit and corrected my path. Prior to using the Medicus I would draw the ball, and sometimes overcook it into a hook, or come over the top a bit and pull my shots. During my first practice session with the Medicus a curious thing occurred, the shots I hit with the Medicus were perfect (every one), but the shots I would hit with my five iron were not. I realized that the Medicus shots were right on the money because this is an "all or nothing club", and if I started a bad swing with it, it would break and not let me finish, hence no bad shots. Armed with this information it was a matter of getting the feel of the Medicus swing into my clubs. By alternating between the Medicus and my club every few swings I was able to accomplish this. The next weekend I did lower my score by five shots...and that was only on the front nine. Having a fundamental knowledge of the golf swing will definitely help. Knowing where the club is supposed to be at different parts of the swing, what a good swing path is, and what good tempo and release are will clarify what the Medicus is trying to tell you when it breaks during a certain part of your swing. If you want to play the game well, learning all of this is a good investment. Now some may think that this is all junk, and give up on the Medicus before it can help. If you do, I only have one piece of advise, pass it on to someone with more patience who really wants to learn to play golf. He/she will thank you for it.

I would not normally write a review, but my experience with the Medicus has been so helpful to my game that I feel it is necessary. Like most people, I was fighting inconsistency with my irons, and my lack of confidence in my shot making began to frustrate me leading to more bad habits from constant tinkering with my swing. After swinging the Medicus, and utilizing it at the range, I saw immediate improvement. The Medicus immediately identified flaws in my club position during my take-away, and after the corrections I am hitting the ball better and more consistently than I ever have. Most importantly, I am enjoying golf again. I was having trouble breaking 90, but after a month with the Medicus, I broke 80 for the first time. Needless to say, I highly recommend it.

First, I am a very skeptical person, just like you. I have been playing for about 20 years and used to fight a slice, currently a hook and no consistency. I have read numerous books, watched videos, done thousands of drills and have tried other swing trainers (Kallasy Swing Magic-Junk; Momentus-Garbage)all to no avail. Accordingly, when I saw the infomercial for this thing on the Golf Channel I was very dubious to say the least but logically it made sense to me and with a 60 day guarantee (buy it from the website medicus2.com) I figured it was probably a another waste of time but was worth a try. It took me about a half hour to get the correct swing and I worked with it for about another half hour and took it out to the range the next day. First shot, dead center straight on the target, nice and soaring. I figured it was fluke. Next shot: same thing. Whoa: Maybe this thing works? I hit the bucket all the same and the only ones which were offcenter were due to my lower body but even then they were straight. Bottom Line: THIS THING WORKS. One caveat however: It will not correct your lower body errors so you will need to work on this seperately (A good book: Swing Like A Pro-see Amazon.com). Yeah, this thing is expensive but its worth it in the loss of frustration. Take the money you were saving for that $400 driver (which won't help)and buy this thing.

My pro gave it to me, after 2 months it improved my take-away significantly, which benefited my overall swing path. Also useful on the downswing, will increase the momentum at impact if used correctly. My PGA pro only recommends it to better players or players willing to put in a serious effort. Best training aid I have ever experienced.

Ever since I have swung this club, I have developed a much more consistent swing. If you combine this training aid with "The Swing like a Pro video by Davis Love III (enclosed). You can't go wrong. I discovered two problems with my swing. On step 1, my take away was to fast. On step 2, (when the club head is parallel with the ground and the club head is pointing 180 degrees from the target with the toe pointing North) My club head was behind my feet a strict No-No! As other reviewers have stated, if you have proper and repeatable swing, the iron will not break at the hinge. However, as one who has been golfing for several years, you may unknowingly develop a bad habit. If you don't believe it could happen read Jack Nicklaus's book! We get older/less flexible/weaker. This tool will help you. Everyone I know whom has used it have developed a more consistent swing. Furthermore, I have confidence that the remaining parts of my swing: steps 3 through 8 are correct.

Well, I was excited to try this based on the reviews. I am a first year golfer taking lessons and scoring in the mid 90s. I really did not care for this training aid. It was way to difficult for me to break the hinges in my swing. Only when I totally exagerrated the faults in my swing would it break. I called Medicus to see if I had it too tight but from their description my hinges were not too tight and broke with the right amount of force.

I have had this club for less than 1 week and I can tell you that is has taught me more about my swing than any of the previous things that I have tried, including lessons from a certified PGA instructor. Hands down, the BEST training device n the market!
