Excellent wegdes. Gives me great bite out of any lie. I can back it up on the green or let it release. So just about anything you can think of these can do. All around great clubs.

i previously owned a 256.12 and sold it after a month. however, i decided to give vokeys another chance and i am glad i did. the feel is not as good as with other wedges i have tried, it definately is last place among all i have tried. however, the heavier weight makes it great from rough. when i first got the wedge i hit it and hated the way it felt and thought i would be let down again. however, on the course it performs very well. while it lacks feel it does seem to give a bit more forgivness. overall, i'm glad i tried the vokey again.

I bought this club used (was only hit a few times), and got a great deal. I don't want to parrot everyone else's reviews, so I'll just say that what everyone says about feel, look, playability, spin, etc. is right on.

I'll definitely replace all my wedges w/ Vokeys. I was thinking of going w/ Cleveland, but after playing w/ the Vokeys I won't change.

I put it in my bag and it helped me shoot my two lowest scores ever! I finally broke 80 (shot 79) and I know for a fact that the Vokey helped. I usually chip from just of the fringe w/ SW or 8i depending on how far I have to run the ball. This technique has been "mostly" successful for me, but at times it's a bit hard to control distance. I decided to use the Vokey on these shots this past round, and I was able to put it next to the pin consistently. Amazing feel! Highly recommend this club.

Obviously price is a drawback for some of us, so I suggest you do what I did. Find a used one that's in decent shape (may be hard, the place I went to had a 100:1 ration of used Clevelands to Vokeys) and trade in some old clubs. I was able to take mine down to $60 and it was practically brand new.

Model Reviewed: Vokey 252 chrome

Great, easy to hit, comparable to the Clevelands but for a better price. In addition the Clevelands are too soft and chip very easily. Before anyone can actually grade a club of this caliber you must first be able to not only hit a wedge but you should be able to place the ball as well. I strongly reccomend anyone to get the chrome finish. I know alot of people who have had trouble with the raw finish. It is not worth the agravation. But all in all this a great wedge.

Customer Service

Titlest is ok at best. When I called them for a putter cover they were not very helpfull. Callaway is still the best customer service in the business. R.I.P. Mr. Callaway!!!!!

Vokey wedges are not much different than Cleveland wedges, Cleveland being the long-time top choice of the Pros and top amateurs.

A couple things I have noticed include the weight and spin.

First off, Vokey wedges spin the living crap out of the ball. I have a Trusty Rusty with plenty of rust, and I have never spun it like I do with my chrome Vokey. I almost always spin BACK my Vokey, for sure on fairly soft greens. On greens that slop a bunch back to front I have spun the ball back over 25 ft. off the putting surface. Of course, I have learned to plan for that and I try to take some spin off for such a shot. I plan to convert my sand and lob to Vokeys ASAP for this reason alone. There's nothing worse than watching a high soft wedge that doesn't stop.

These clubs seems to be heavier than most, and I have come to really appreciate it. When trying to grip lightly on finesse shots, the extra weight seems to help me feel the clubhead and let the club swing itself. You need to demo a Vokey and decide for yourself if the added weight will destroy your short game swing.

In general, I like the way they setup and I like the results. Fine wedges indeed. If Vokey was not an option, Cleveland would certainly be my next choice.

These are good solid wedges, nice and heavy to attack through rough and they really work well from bunkers. I have the chrome ones and they really set up well and have good balance. The short game is the most important part of your game, my advice would be to spend some extra cash in this department on quality wedges and lower your scores.

Outstanding wedge for about 80 yards and in. I can really put alot of spin on the ball with this club. Great for around the green and from the bunker. The best wedge I have ever used.

Great wedge. Works well on the soft Miami fairways. Also easy to pop out of the fluffy Florida sand. Thumbs up.
