Best wedges on the market, I got the 60* wedge in raw steel. This is a very soft feeling cub that gives you confidence around the green. From 50 yds and in I feel like a marksman with this wedge. I am now upgrading my pw and sw to Vokeys, these can also be found for good prices on ebay.

I had two great Cleveland wedges (54* 588 Chrome, and 60* 900FF Chrome) that I used with great success. Then, one day in the hot, bright, Texas sun, the glare hit me so unexpectedly that I had spots in my eyes for the next several shots. So, now that I understood what all the hype for "gunmetal" and "rusty" wedges were about, I was off to go find some. I came accross two Vokey rusties at Golf Galaxy (54* Oil Can, 58* RAW) in fantastic condition for only $49 each. The first time I used them, it felt like they were already old friends. They are super soft and impart GREAT spin. They seem softer than the Clevelands I used. I'm not sure if that's b/c of the rusty nature, or if the steel Titliest uses is softer. Either way, they're staying in the bag for a while! ;-)

Soft feeling, well-balanced clubs. I played Cleveland 588 raw wedges for years and I think these are slightly better, however thats only a matter of personal preference. Cleveland builds great wedges too.

I have never played a wedge so good. I had always thought it was forged though, so when i ofund out it wasnt, it kinda ticked me off. I mean, why poay 100-150 for a wedge and it not be forged. All that said, i still love it. I have had it for about 2 months, and have already holed out 3 times with it from about 50 yards. So i guess what i am trying to say is that it it very accurate, and it puts a hella lot of spin on it!

I like this wedge for full swing shots from the rough. Out of the sand it is decent. After using it for 6 months I just don't have as much confidence with it for short swing touch shots. I'm sure my swing is most of the problem. Recently however, I purchased a cheap ($25) Wilson Harmonized Lob Wedge on a whim. I have had more success with this wedge for touch shots and shots requiring a more open club face (cut shots). With this success, I am now wondering if a $25 wedge plays better than the Vokey for me, maybe I should try some other wedges out there. In summary, I would say the Vokey may not be the best choice for some high-handicappers but confidence is a strange bird. If you have confidence in something it will work better for you. Some people derive confidence from a club for completely different reasons. So, the best advice may be to demo as many clubs as you can and choose the one that inspires the most confidence, regardless of why.

best wedge in my opinion. can't hit beyond 90yds but extremely soft. people always talk about forged wedges, but i think this one is just easier to hit. its a little lighter but still feels solid..... and extremely soft. also good for chipping, for those of u that often miss greens.

I play a 55 degrees (Sand) and a 60 degrees (Lob) wedges (both Tommy Armour 845 EVO V-31 forged). Went to the above store and tried it with the Cleveland 588 Chrome 51 degrees wedge. Never really tried any on the range or demo. However, after hitting about 10 balls each at the driving net, the Titleist 250.08 feels right and gave me a better rhythm and feel with my swing. The Cleveland 588 Chrome 51 degrees has a convex leading edge and may well be better in light rough but I figure I am more comfortable with the regular flatter leading edge and the Titleist has a slightly large club face at address. The half swings seems to be distinctively better with the Titleist. So, will look forward to more reviews here.

After I got serious about the game I decided I should invest in a set of premium wedges after playing off brands. These wedges are great, a very quality product from Titelist, worth the price. My RAW 56 degree hasn't rusted very much but it feels much softer then the chrome models, especially around the green on short chip shots and even on longer pitches as well. These wedges are much heavier than I expected, which really helps in making a nice even tempo'd swing. I don't generate very much spin normally, but a well struck ball with the lob wedge from 65 yards out will hop and stop with ease. These wedges offer the skilled player a great amount of workability as well. I can hit little draws and open the face and hit high cutters as well. Overall, anyone serious about lowering their scores and hitting good golf shots from 100 yards in, these wedges are a great investment. Well worth every penny.....just don't leave one after playing a hole, you'll probably never get it back.
