Newport Longneck (nickel plated)
I bought a newport longneck nickel plated putter for 270 off of ebay. It was nickel plated after market, and i'm not sure who did it, but it is one amazing putter. My only argument would be that it is heavy, i'm not sure the exact weight, but once you are used to it it stays on line beautifully. I'm 17 and have owned 3 scotty's and this is by far my favorite. If i was going to buy another one i would look for a good deal of a prototype putter because they tend to look better. True, you will be dishing out the extra money, but they are collectors items. One ALWAYS leave the headcover on when in your bag. GOD, it makes me want to kill people that ding up their scotty's. THEY ARE PEACES OF ART! CHERISH THEM!. 'nuff said. Btw, nickel plating doesn't rust, i'm had my putter for close to 8 months now and there are no signs of rust. Great investment! Customer Service Becuase it was nickel plated after market, titliest won't refinish it. If i wanted it reheaded, they would change 80$ and it would be standard terr. insert (non-nickel plated) Similar Products Used: Every production scotty cameron. I tend to like the more exotic putters though |

I use to putt with a ping anser but got tired of the offset look on the putter so I switched to ping zing putter. After a year my dad switched putters and left the laguna in a golf storage (an old bag in the garage) I picked it up for one round and found the feel to be drastically better. The look was what I was comfortable with and now I had the feel I wanted. My only recomendation is to make sure it is properly taken care (ie. wiped down after every round to prevent rust.) |

I was using a cobra soft imapact putter at about 129$ us. Was a vary good and consistant putter but looking at my scores saw room for improvement. I went to the local shop and took out a Titleist terillium faced Scotty Cameron and rolled balls with it and my cobra and a callowy Bobby Jones and a Odessey, all of basially the same sytp and demention. I found that the Scotty Cameron gave the ball a truer roll for a longer distance with less ""tail off"" then all of the putters I tried. Its expencive but look how many times you use it when comapred to today high priced drivers. If you cant sink it with a Scotty Cameron, it aint the putter,,,its the puttie... This is a very smooth putter, best I have ever used. A little pricey but when you consider that you take about 1/3 of your shots with a putter. with this in mind it is a better value than an expenseive driver. Similar Products Used: Calloway BJ2, Ping Zing |

This is a good club but there are only a few that will fit you. I would have to say that this club is extremely overpriced. I would have to say it should be 150 at tops but it is a great club. Give it a try if you have the money. Similar Products Used: None |

Bootiful. Lush feel, an exceptional roll although I have found I do tend to lag it. Takes too much looking after. Too much loot. Similar Products Used: Odyssey, Ping Zing2, Ben Sayer, Ram Zebra, Cobra Bobby Grace |

I have to say I heartily disagree with TJ about this putter. It is a beautiful thing to look at, obviously made with great care, but still performs excellently on the greens. It's not the most forgiving putter, but the weight, the look, and the incredible feel, as well as having a touch of class on the greens even on a bad day more than justifies the price. To all those people who say their putter is better than, or matches up to a Scotty, just the fact that they are comparing it illustrates my point that it is THE putter to have and to beat on the greens. It is hard to maintain though. Similar Products Used: Nearly everything. |
