I've tried so putters in my golfgame life, such as nubbins, ping, oddysey whitehot, 2 ball, and even trihot #3, but nothing close to this one. The design is sexy, the cover is eye catching(screaming yellow, and the feeling is orgasmic. It is at the right weight and well balanced. I was trying the pro platinum, and it feels nice too but the advantage of the studio design is you can see clearly the white line for better alignment.

Have used lots of Scotty's but find this one to have the best feel and by far the easiest to align. Lots of people compare the Studio models to the early Tad Moores, they are very similar in looks, but I also have a Tad Moore TM-4 in cobalt which has a great feel, but this is better...All around great putter, but leave the wild yellow cover at home...it will disappear!!

Customer Service

Do Titleist have a Customer Service? from my experiences it is prety well non-existent.

It''''s a Scotty Cameron... what more do you need to say. Yes, it is true the price is a bit high, and the extra love it requires (baby oil after EVERY round) can be annoying. But think about it for a minute; if you found a $200 driver that could take three strokes off your scorecard (heck, even if it was a $400 driver) each round you would do a back flip. This is just my $0.02, but spending your money on a good putter, and a copy of Dave Peltz’s “Putting Bible” would be a better handicap reducing investment than a new Nike Driver (you would even have some money left over to play a round or two).

The Studio 2.5 puts the best roll on the ball of any putter that I"ve used, hands down. The 2.5 appears larger than the rest of the Studio series, and give you a ton of confidence to hit the bottom of the cup. Alignment is easy with the single sight line. Heavy, yet balanced weight for those that like a slightly heavier putter. This is my first Cameron, so I guess I"m in the club now. I used to think "wow, they''re throwing money away on that showpiece." But this putter is the real deal.

You would be a fool not to love this putter, but likewise you would be a fool to think it is worth the SRP of $275. Go with EBAY, most sellers are trustworthy, and the product is cheaper. The 1.5 is awesome, and the distance control is unbelievable. Go with this putter, but not the SRP!!

This putter is amazing, its improved my putting considerably. I dont know if its the putter or just having the convidence of having a great putter in my bag. Oiling it takes two seconds and the oil cloth even smells good! The grip is kind of bent to form to your hands. great feel, great looks, great puter.

I agree with all the positive things my prior reviewers have said about the Studio Design 1.5 so I won''t repeat here. One negative thing that previous reviewers have not mentioned is the fact that the sun light will reflect off the shiny black finish and throw your concentration off. I live in Tucson, and the sun light can get very intense during summer. Putting is the most sensitive part of golf swings, and I certainly don''t need an extra distraction to battle off. Since I just received this as a gift from my brother-in-law, I will continue to use it a bit longer. But I may soon trade it with some other Scotty Cameron models.

Firstly, the head cover is a matter of taste and has nothing to do with the quality of the putter. But the divot tool is surprisingly usefull, though it is prone to fall out.
The putter is nothing special compared to the other Scotty Camerons you can buy, but it is amazing compaered to all the other putters available. I love the soft feel, the look and the size of the head. It is smaller than the proplatinums. I also like the blade design - I have been put off by offsets. Worth every penny in my opinion. But when you buy make sure that your grip is straight and there is nothing loose in the shaft as was in mine - disappointing for titleist, but easily fixed.

Model Reviewed: Original 1.5 by Tad Moore TM-4

If you know anything about putters, you'd know that Scotty's skills were derived from Tad Moore (the Grandfather of milled putters).

The Studio line by Scotty is simply a copy of the original Maxfli (TM-1 through TM-4)series by Tad Moore. But the real difference is the realistic price of a Tad Moore Maxfli series.

A Scotty Cameron putter over $250 with no fitting options??? If you want a Studio 1.5, go do yourself a favour and try a Tad Moore Maxfli TM-4 milled putter. They are getting harder to find, but you'll see a few on Ebay. I've seen mint ones sell for $40.

You might not get the sCrEaMiNg yellow putter cover, nor space age tool, but you'll get the putter that was used as the blue print for Scotty's Studio 1.5.

Yes, you'll need to oil it and baby it a little, but the Studio line needs the same TLC. You'll appreciate the Tad Moore Maxfli TM-4's soft carbon steel milled design and perfectly tuned True Temper shaft that has been in so many PGA player tour bags.

You decide what you want... advertising hyped Studio 1.5 or the REAL MACOY TAD MOORE TM-4. Once you try a TM-4, you'll be laughing as hard as I do when you see one of those yellow putter covers at the links.

Tad Moore... one of putting's best kept secrets today.
