Titleist Scotty Cameron Circa 62 No. 3 Putters

Titleist Scotty Cameron Circa 62 No. 3 Putters

DESCRIPTION

Confidence inspired by superior performance. Craftsmanship as a full-blown passion. Tradition and innovation blended as one. The Circa '62 line is all of this—and then some. With respect for the heritage and art of putting, Scotty Cameron introduces a line with subtle influences from the early Handmade, Classic, and Scottsman families, but with its own unique flourishes. The Circa '62 No. 3, with its flat-front plumber’s neck and a head that undergoes hours of milling for a smoothness that exudes quality, pushes performance and aesthetics to the next level. The high toe helps to keep the putter soled at address, making the No. 3 as precise as it is pleasing to the eye. The head’s deep, gun-blued finish gives the Circa '62 No. 3—and the entire line for that matter—a mark of distinction found only in genuine Scotty Cameron putters.

Just picked up my 2nd Scotty Cameron putter a few days ago and I have to say I'm very happy with my decision! I had heard that SC was going to be releasing an updated version of their Circa 62 line with a matte type finish that was going to be corrosion resistant and virtually maintenance free! Well..it's finally here and I quickly ran down to my local Golfsmith and picked one up! I was particularly interested in the #3 model as I also have a Newport 2 SS and I was lucky that they had just one left..

Needless to say, after I left the store I quickly drove to my neighborhood putting green and spent a good hour or so with my latest acquisition! This putter is the everything I thought it would be! The feel is unbelievable! The head is milled from a block of soft carbon steel and provides a feeling quite different from my Newport 2..it's softer and more buttery type feeling..the feedback is superb and the putts roll true...a truly unique characteristic among Cameron putters!

The finish is great to look at as you sit over the ball and the lines are pure SC! Classic and very stylish looking! The putter comes with a Red Baby T grip which is thicker than the grip on my Newport 2 but fits the putter well...

The headcover is really nice also..red..with black accents and a gray soft interior..which matches the putter perfectly!

During the hour I spent on the putting green, I lagged many putts up very close and made plenty of short to medium length putts with it...It just inspires confidence when you use this putter and you really do feel that you are putting with a true piece of art!

If you're a Scotty fan like myself you won't be disappointed..the charcoal mist finish doesn't shine like last years model and the best thing is that it's corrosion resistant which is comforting to know! The soft carbon steel milled head is definitely a plus feel factor wise and you will find yourself keeping this putter in your bag for years to come! Two Thumbs up to Scotty for another classic creation!!

If you're into feedback and feel - then take a look at this putter. I've been playing with a SC SS Newport 2 for a couple of years now and thought I would never ever change. Due to an unfortunate garage shevling accident, I decided to seek a replacment for my mangled Scotty.
I tried several putters - including the newer Newport 2's (studio style), Ping G5i (used for a couple of months), and the Circa 62 no 2 and 3.
The Ping was a nice putter - especially for the price. But didn't quite have the feedback I was used to.
So - it's between the two scotty's. The Newport 2 with the insert felt good - didn't think it had quite the feedback or feel that my old one had.
But when I tried the Circa 62 ... whoa ! Great feel, great balance to the club. I wasn't too trilled about getting a club that was so high-maint. ... but, putting with it turned me around. If you have any problems with distance control, this club will help in figuring it out. The feel isn't as soft as the current Newport2, but the feedback and style more than makeup for it. Also, the first batch comes with a leather grip which I highly recommend over the baby T grips. Much better feel and fit for bigger/wider hands. Try this club - you won't be disappointed. Also you can get great deals on ebay for about $200 or less.
This classic-looking milled blade is definitely a treat - and if you can swing the price (or get a great deal), it'll stay in the bag for years to come... just don't forget to whipe it down !
