scotty cameron circa 62 no. 3
Originally I bought the studio select newport because the shop didn't have the newport 2. I didn't know that the newport did not have the guide groove. Strangely, I was putting much better and my distance control improved immensely. Before the tournament I decided to switch the putter to newport 2 b/c I thought the guide line on the newport 2 would improve my game even further. What a huge mistake that was. I couldn't line up straight, because the line was actually distracting me instead of helping me. And the newport 2 felt too bulky and heavy. I couldn't feel the ball at all on short putts and would hit the ball too hard way passed the hole. I went back to the shop to exchange my newport 2 back to newport, but they were all out of the newport, but then the circa 62 no3. caught my eye. I tried it and absolutely love it. It felt right from the moment I held it. And this putter doesn't have the annoying guide groove to distract me. Plus, this putter is a carbon steel rather than stainless steel. it's a softer metal and 10g lighter then the newport putters but still it feels well balanced and I am back to making burdies. Customer Service roger dunn, simply awesome! |

scotty cameron circa 62 charcoal mist #3 putter
Of all the many, many and expensive putters I have had, this is by far the best. The milled carbon steel gives it a wonderful feel, balance is superb, and the one dot alignment actually works better for me than other forms. I have putted significantly better (after about 30 rounds) with this Scotty probably because it gives me a sense of confidence, especially for distance control. this putter is great for square alignment and has the best softest purest feel out there. I have minimized my 3 putts dramatically and improved my scoring. PLUS it looks GREAT |

Owning a Scotty seemed like a big jump for someone who putts poorly (regular 3-putts). Anyway, long story short, I like the feel of the putter on course after using a fren's scotty and decided to get one myself.
Customer Service none so far. Noticed that if you buy the current model, there is no divot tool. A pity. I got the one that is one season back, it comes with yellow headcover and divot too... way cooool! Similar Products Used: Odessey, Never Compromise, Pixl |

I switched from a 2- Ball putter this summer to Circa 62. I felt my speeed and lag putting was not up to par and the Scotty helped tremendously with that. I then found that the feel of the putter made me better than ever before. I am not the only one who noticed, the guys I play with have made comments throughout the summer. I think this putter has made me improve my stroke and would not trade it in for anything at this moment. Customer Service haven't used Similar Products Used: Odyssey 2-ball

This putter has great feel. I think that Scotty Cameron should return to making more carbon steel putters like he did in the mid to late '90s (the gun metal and oil can finished putters remain, in my opinion, his best putters). The circa 62 line reintroduces this material in a time when Scotty has tended to make more putters out of stainless steel and aluminum (which, to me, do not have the feel of carbon steel).
Similar Products Used: Odyssey black series (carbon steel-faced putters that I would recommend to this year's crop of Scotty Camerons). |
