White Hot 2 Ball
(price paid in sterling) Bought it cos I really liked the look of it, and then saw loads of pros using it at the Open. It takes some getting used to. The white hot face has a very soft feel. At first I was leaving ALL my long putts about 6-7 feet short, and I thought 'why did I get this thing?' However I managed to sink all of those short putts, helped I think by the 2 ball alignment. It made me a lot more confident. I stood over shorter putts thinking 'if i miss with this putter there is something wrong with me'. It put more pressure on, and made me concentrate more. (one of the reasons I like to change my putter every few months - keeps me concentrating) Then I got used to it, and shot my best ever round the third time I used it with only 25 putts. I need to concentrate on a smooth pendulum stroke to use it properly. Rock the shoulders and nothing else. The belly version is coming out soon and I will definitely give that a go too. If you use a mallet putter, or have a pendulum putting stroke then I would recommend this putter. It takes getting used to, but it may well pay off. It has for me. Customer Service not used. I had a similar experience to the person below (2 below). When I first got this club I had a lot of trouble with it. It feels great, and has a nice heavy head. From the begining I had a lot of success with pace on lag putts. From close in (10' and less) I had a lot of trouble with alignment. I purchased this after my previous putter broke, so there wasn't any going back, short of buying a new putter. After about 5-6 rounds things started to come around though. I'm now putting better than ever. During this time I've spent a lot of time working on my putting, and it could be that that has been the secret, that my putting is better because of the extra practice. I can say though that I've never felt this confident about alignment. I would say at this point it's saving me a stroke a round (my HC would confirm that, it's gone from 1.5 to 0.7), but more importantly, every putt goes where I aim, my misses now are because of misreads (whereas before there was a lot more varibility). Purchased this putter and the feel was tremendous. I still did not putt that good, but I could feel and see the putter not staying on line. After a little practice I was able to feel the correct line and started making the 6 footers that has always keep me in the mid to upper 70's. Now I feel confident and positive when I stand over putts. What a great feeling. I have no doubt that with this putter I will shoot under par very soon! I bought this putter and used it 3 or 4 rounds and hated it. Pulled it back out in my first tourney of the year for I don't know why and have never looked back - what a great putter! I hit the ball like a pro but have always been a mediocre to below average putter. ONCE YOU GET USED TO IT, THIS PUTTER WILL KICK BACKSIDE!!! Just stay with it and you wont be sorry. The alignment system is an acquired taste. I am playing my best golf of my life and in this year alone went from a 1.6 to a +0.5 and am very competitive in state events although old enough now to be the father of most of the guys I play against. I AM SOLD ON THE TWO-BALL PUTTER!! Have to say that this putter cost almost as much as my 1976 Wilson Staff irons bought new - my first serious irons - so I can't call this a good value no matter how much it helps my game. Customer Service I did it myself through research. Similar Products Used: Scotty Cameron Caliente - Ping Anser |

Honestly not all that its cracked up to be. Excellent feel as with all white hot inserts but definitely NOT a game improvement putter by any means. Takes a bit to get used to. Similar Products Used: White Hots #1, 4 5 |

I am impressed by this club. I found the alignment to be easy to use, and remarkably effective. I am always close to the hole if I can read the green. I've had the club for about three weeks, and won the long putt contest in a tournament with an uphill putt from about 40 feet. Customer Service Haven't needed. Similar Products Used: Ping Anser |

Tried this putter for a few rounds but eventually returned it. Really like the feel, and although the appearance is funky it was not difficult to get used to. Eventually though, I started to dislike it and returned it. For me the alignment system is not as precise as a line, since you have to try and visualize the line through the 3 balls. Thsi in turn makes it slightly less accurate than other putters. It is definitely all the rage, but I think that there are better putters out there, especially the new Sub30 and TDP lines from Never Compromise, which have similar feel, but much better alignment and accuracy, at least for me. Customer Service Excellent. Took the putter back no questions and happily gave a refund. Similar Products Used: Ancient ping anser, Never Compromise Sub 30 A2 and many putters at the shop |

First, it is worth knowing why this putter is designed like it is, and why it is so effective. Dave Pelz, the short game guru, noticed that almost all golfers (including most pros) misalign their putters. He worked with engineers on the problem, and they experimented with all sorts of lines and t-squares. Eventually, they realized that the culprit was our binocular vision - which gets fooled once we stand next to the ball, rather than behind it. Remember - Sam Sneed first used a "croquet" putter in order to better use binocular vision. This was banned, but that didn't stop him from standing behind and putting sidewinder. Pelz and his engineering friends invented a solution which accommodates our visual bias, and allows alignment from the side of the intended line of play - the 3 ball putter. This was quite effective , but was eventually banned, too. The 2 Ball uses this alignment principle - and it conforms to USGA rules. If you choose to get this putter you should get ready for some adjustments. First, it is likely that you, like most golfers, do not line up your putter to the target. However, as Pelz found out, through a series of small manipulations (putter face and swing path) you bring the ball back on line. If you use this putter, and are now square, you muscle memory will work against you for a while. That is, if you used to set up 8-10 inches off line on a 20ft. putt (this is average) it is likely that you will think this putter "pulls" or "pushes" by the same amount. You will have to unlearn your poor technique. Once done, your putting will become simplified - you will only need to focus on pace as alignment will become automatic. I really like this putter, and am sure you will, too. I was pleasantly surprised by its feel and feedback (I've never been a fan of inserts). About my only complaint is that this thing is ridiculously expensive - but I guess in the dog-eat-dog golf equipment business Odyssey has to make cash while it can. Hopefully, Golfsmith or someone will come up with a affordable facsimile. A final thought: arguably the most dominant golfer, and perhaps best putter in the world uses this putter - Annika Sorenstam. So, this is no gimmick...it works. Customer Service They were great and quite knowledgeable. Similar Products Used: Never Compromise Sigma, Ping B90 |

White Hot 2 Ball Putter
The two balls make sinking anything up to a 4 or 5 foot put a breeze. A very soft face makes this putter very quiet, so if you like a crisp ping sound from a putter, avoid this club. You get some funny looks on the green when you pull this baby out your bag, but they soon want to try it out! Highly recommend it! Dig deep in your pockets, though, it is a little high priced. |
