Tour Edge V-Blade Irons

Tour Edge V-Blade Irons

DESCRIPTION

From Tour Edge Golf: "Utilizing flow weighting technology, the V-Blade positions each iron's center of gravity for optimal performance; low in the long irons, higher in the short irons." "The Vertical Flow concept is visually noticeable through the dual muscle-back design. Two muscles, one on the bottom and one on the top of the rear cavity, grow and shrink to achieve the perfect center of gravity for each club. Lower in the long irons for higher ball flight... and Higher in the short irons for a lower, more controlled flight."

These irons are by far some of the best irons out there on the market. They have the great forged feel and the forgiveness of a perimeter weighted iron. These clubs have great control, spin, and distance.

These irons are as sweet as they come. I have tryed everything from Mizuno to Hogan and these are by far the best club. I had been playing the Tour Edge comp 950 tour irons for about 2 years prior to the V-blades and prior to that I was using the King Cobra Irons, and these are by far thes best yet. The unique thing about these clubs is the pure confidence they instill in you right at the address of the ball. You know how perfect the last shot felt and you are eagerly awaiting the next swing to see the exact same results. A combonation of great feel and excellent weighting makes for a shotmakers dream. Cosmetically they are great to look at, nothing extremely fancy but they have a very finished look, from the chrome finish to the small Tour Edge logo stamped into the hosel they look great! highly recommend them to anyone looking to go for a forged club.

Customer Service

Solid but not as forgiving as I expected. These are heavy with the stiff shafts. Short game has been great but alignment took a little getting used to...Fitted to upright from my old off the rack clubs. I now tend to hit pulls (stiff shafts?). Beautiful to look at but not a game improvement club. We will grow into each other...

Very solid club, I have used the Any-Lie fairway woods (3 & 5) for about 3 years and have had great success with them. I decided that I wanted to try a forged iron, and the V-Blade fit the bill: good looks, good price, solid craftmanship, great warranty, etc... Of course, until you play the club, it is all showroom stuff. I hit them at the range after I bought them and they felt pretty good. Not much difference in feel than my old clubs (Cleveland TA5). I have seen many people talk about cast have a bad feel, well I think that if you hit the sweet spot on any club, you will have the sweet feeling. I played against guys that were using blades, and blew it by them many times. I think once you get your swing down and spend the time at the range understanding your swing and grooving your shot shape, then you can play anything.
The clubhead is a little light in terms of weight, but then again, I have to get used to what forgings are anyway. Fortunately, they offer the club with Rifles and Dynamic Golds. I chose the Golds. They need to update the grips, a little hard. The clubhead has nice chrome finish with a double muscleback in it. It also has minimal offset to it. The sweetspot is easy to find on these clubs, but if you miss the spot, misshits are somewhat rewarded, not punished. This is club that more people should at least try and not run straight for the big name clubs. I will submit another review in about a month after some serious play.
I think that Tour Edge needs to pick up a Touring Pro for the pub. They have some very nice products, but no major pub.
As with any club, try it for yourself. My opinion hopefully will at least get you into the proshop to ask for it.

Customer Service

Never had to use them, haven't heard anything bad though, they might want to update their website, a little dated in comparison to Cleveland or Titleist.

First of all, all I can say about these irons is WOW! Tour Edge made a bad ass blade with the dual muscle back which give you feel of a blade w/ forgivness like a cavity-back. I think that they are by far the best irons on the market and I should know because I work at a golf shop and I've hit everything!

Customer Service

Not very many people know about this, but Tour Edge has a liftime warranty which kicks the other warrantys from this big shot companys butts.

All I can say is Wow! I took the demo from my club's pro shop, and after hitting it at the range, took it out to the course a few times. Felt that it was very easy to hit, and I especially liked the forged feel. After trying the club out, I went to my pro, and I was custom-fitted to these clubs for my swing. I received the clubs six business days later, a big plus. I made the mistake of taking them out for a round before dialing into them at the range, which was weird because I went straight from an oversized cavity back iron set to these. Big difference! I am happy to say that these clubs are great. I could not beat the price, compared to other top name brands, which for me means great value, and these irons are awesome to hit. Tour Edge is great. I would recommend these irons to a person who has a pretty good swing plane and hits the ball fairly pure, or someone who wants more workability in their shots. Be prepared to feel some changes with custom-fitted clubs, because they are correctly fitted. I had to make some small adjustments to really get the full benefit from these clubs.

These irons are the best irons I have ever hit. You can work the ball so easily and they have the softest feel. For a forged blade they have a great feel and are more forgiving than any other club I've ever hit. These irons are good for anybody who is looking for the feel of a forged blade but the forgiveness of a perimeter weighted club.

This club is perfect for the average player who needs that little boost. The weight in the club is well balance for a perfect hit on the sweet spot. The club also comes with a life time warranty, for those who throw thier clubs, and free custom fitting.
