I picked up a set of these in mint condition on ebay. They are still a very good iron; very solid and easy to hit. |

I bought two sets of these irons online, one set for me and one set for my golfing buddy. I shoot around 80 most of the time, occasionally under. My buddy shoots in the mid to upper 70's most of the time. I think I bought these about 7 or 8 years ago, and I still use them now. I had a set of Pings at the time, but just wasn't getting it done. These clubs immediately added 20 to 25 yards of distance over the pings. My ping pitching wedge was about 125-130yds, and the xl2000 was around 145-150yds. They are super forgiving clubs, and will get the ball very high. For the price, these have to be the best deal of all times in the golfing world! I don't know why they don't make them anymore, and I hope that Calloway is using this tech in some of the new Top-flite irons. As I said, I still use them 2 or 3 times a week, and my buddy still uses his every time he plays. I also have since bought a gap wedge, and a Top flite tour sand wedge(not XL2000), and love both of them. I bought these clubs after reading the reviews on this site. These are forgiving clubs and when you connect you barely feel it. However, these clubs are HEAVY. I mean really heavy, and it ain't just the steel shafts talking. There's a reason you don't feel contact with these clubs. If you like heavy clubs, these are for you. I only paid $120 for them so no big loss. I'm going to find some lighter irons and see how those do. Customer Service n/a Similar Products Used: Various Golfsmith Irons |

The best clubs. My set is 5 years old now and I want to replace them with the same set, but only NEW. Does anyone know of any outlet that might sell this set NEW? |
