I purchased these irons on ebay for about $100 after reading some reviews as a game-improvement iron. I can't say I have been disappointed in them. I'm by no means a skilled golfer, but a good athlete in general and looking to improve my game. I am able to hit these irons fairly consistently and get nice height and trajectory with on-center hits. Off-center hits still get airborn and travel fairly straight, just with little distance. Much more forgiving than my King Cobras, for better or worse. They are head heavy which I like. After reading those who rate these irons poorly, I must assume this is due to them being a little too forgiving for a skilled golfer. Perhaps they overcorrect foiling attempts to draw and fade the ball. I wouldn't know as I'm not yet good enough to work the ball much. That said, I have no real complaints. My iron shots come out clean and high with good distance and usually go where I aim them (I just don't always aim the right direction...) So as an inexpensive game-improvement iron, I think they are great. Whenif you get to the point of wanting to work the ball, perhaps it will be time to trade them in. However, I think half the people on here that say their irons do not allow them to work the ball are blaming that inability on the wrong source. It takes a lot of time to be able to accurately work the ball left or right at will, and some of these guys are the same that claim to be shooting in the low 80s after picking up the game last summer...doutful at best. Pros: price, easy to get airborn Cons: perhaps too forgiving for skilled players. not the most attractive irons. Customer Service Never needed it. I can`t believe the prices some of you guys have paid for these clubs. They have them at Meijer Thrifty Acres and Value City for 129.00 for the whole set. Even that may be a tad too much but OK for the your once a week slasher. If you have never played the game of gold before this club is a decent choice for you, because in reality that is all you need. If you have any game at all these clubs are a bit clunky, and the ball flies off the higher irons without much control. For example. I was brainwashed and bought these after reading some reviews. I took them to a golf shop and my 8 and 9 iron were the exact same loft! That is why I try to warn golfers to stay away from this mass produced pile of garbage. All in all you are better off just to stay away and invest in a quality set of golf clubs and enjoy the game. Customer Service I did not know TopFlite had CS. My calls were never returned. This was my second ever set of clubs, bought around 5 years ago new for the freakishly low price of $300. These trusty irons have lasted all that time and never fail to deliver- for a bad golfer like me, you'd think it'd be way worse. When hitting at the range, they pretty much don't move off the center unless I hit REALLY bad. On the rare occasion of a game, I'll still hit greens fine on the shorter holes. I don't know how well distance goes with other clubs, but irons better be pretty darn good to handle 230 yards with the 4-iron and 150 yards with the pitching wedge like these did! Basically very consistent in aim and distance. My only bad bout was when I ripped a perfect 3-iron shot, and the clubhead broke off and disappeared. Irons that are any better simply aren't worth the extra $800. Customer Service Never used it Similar Products Used: Top-flite Intimidator 400 3/5 wood |

Bought these sight unseen from eBay for $95. They have knocked about 10 shots off my game so far this summer. (Although I have been playing alot...) Fairly forgiving, and I can hit them straight! That's a big deal for me. If you are looking for a quality set of irons at a beginner price, look no further. I love my irons. For beginning golfers, these are really great. Because they have a steel shaft, you can really feel some weight in the club, which lets you know how well you're swinging them. They have a pretty big cavity back and a good offset, and along with the oversized faces, that makes these irons extremely forgiving. Before I bought these irons I was shooting in the hundreds, and now I'm looking to break 90. They're that good! Also, if you hit a bad shot, you can throw these pretty far too (winks). Customer Service The service at Golf Galaxy was really good. Besides just custom fitting my clubs, the pro sat down with me and fixed a few of my swing problems for free. I would definitely go back! I have been shooting in the mid-high 90's for a few years and decided to upgrade from my first set. These were not my first choice, but based on price I settled. These sticks have been superbly forgiving with surprising accuracy. I am very pleased. As far as distance, I am one club longer with these than my former clubs. Similar Products Used: Armour 845's |

Very nice clubs at a bargain price compared to other pro line clubs. Solid feeling. Multiple bad reviews by some jerks here not fair for this club's overall review. I purchased my set in 97 or 98? They were a considerable step up from the set i had, and I must say, they have been durable, forgiving, correctly weighted, and accurate. My game has advanced from a mid-90's player to a high 70's player with these clubs, so you would have to do a lot of tlaking to get me to believe that these clubs are junk. Customer Service They let me demo a set of Clevelands and Top-Flite tours for a week, until I decided on the Tours, then they threw in the matching SW with the set. |
