I have been using Cleveland TA3's for the past two years (steel shaft. I'm 6'5' had the clubs lengthened 3/4" and put medium grips on(measure jumbo but prefer medium). Was not playing that well with them;although more accurate than my Prima III's (Ping knockoffs). I thought maybe I would do better with graphite. I saw the graphite Top-flite 2003 new in the box for on sale for $250. Figured I would give them a try, cheaper than changing shafts on the Clevelands and if I didn't like them, I have two boys that would love them. I am hitting the ball just as high, 10 to 15 yards farther and dead accurate. This from stock clubs, no custom fit for my height or large hands. These clubs are excellent at at $250 new (steel shaft at $199) a fantastic buy. Similar Products Used: Cleveland TA3's |

I had played the old Top Flite Tour irons for years with mixed results. After reading all of the great reviews of the XL 2000 I decided to purchase the clubs that replaced the XL 2000. I must say the irons are great. I am hitting the ball much higher and have gained one club's worth of distance. The low irons in particular are much easier to hit than any other irons I have used. Despite the high ball flight there is no loss of distance. The irons give me a great deal of confidence at address. I feel like I am going to hit a good shot, even though that does not always occur. For the price, I would highly recommend these irons. They look great and provide fantastic results. I have played the TopFlite Tour OS irons for about 5 years. Decided I needed to upgrade even though the OS's are great clubs. Thought about TA 7's then saw an auction on Ebay for an almost new set of new tours - got them for $160 including a 2 iron. They have the same lofts and lengths as my OS's but they are now 1 degree more upright in the standard setup. I figured for the price of a fairway wood I would give them a shot. Well took them out and hit them a ton- my ball is now longer and higher. They are very forgiving and with the reduced offset compared to my old clubs, are easier to work. They are more forgiving then the OS's and the ball really comes off the face. When I say long and high I don't mean a balloon shape- the ball takes that extra jump about midflight and then turns over. These are very good clubs. They are cheap because they are made and assembled in China- they look as good as any club on the market. Unless you are a scratch golfer, you should use a "game improvement" club. My advice is to give these clubs a try- Most club heads are made in China or Mexico anyway. Customer Service None Similar Products Used: Played a friends Apex Plus's- great clubs when hit in the middle- trouble is I don't play enough (once a week, 10 HC)to hit them in the middle every time |

2003 TOP FLITE TOUR
I am a club junkie, and I am okay with that. I am also okay with a club the looks good and performs well for me, and that describes my new Top Flite Tour Irons. I play game improvement irons because I need the help. Previously owned Cleveland TA5's. Great club...no complaints. Didn't have any good reason to trade them in except that I wasn't crazy about the rounded toe of the clubhead. Saw the Tours, loved the looks. Hit them on three different occassions against Wilson (Fat Shaft III and Deep Red), Hogan (Apex Edge), Cobra SSi, and Cleveland TA7. Loved the Hogans and Top Flites (no I don't work for Spalding). While the Hogans felt sweet when struck well, couldn't justify the extra $150 for the Hogans when both performed equally well for me. Like the stock reg flex shaft. It supposed to have a low kick point to help elevate shots, but it does not feel as whippy as my TA5 reg flex shafts did. Trajectory is high, but not balloning. Seems like the diamond sole helps with direction and distance with fat shots. They might not be the most expensive or glamorous irons out there but the look, playability, and quality is there. I think these irons and I will get along famously, as soon as I fix my many swing flaws :-). Customer Service Not much contact with them. A couple of e-mails regarding specifications and adjusting lie angles, were answered quickly and thoroughly. Although Top Flite is not known as a leader in the golf club market, they make top quality irons. I played the original Tour irons for about 7 years until I converted to Tommy Armour 855's. What a mistake! Therefore I went shopping on Ebay for new clubs and saw Top Flite had redesigned the Tour. To be honest, I was skeptical because of the price point, $275, and thought these were not a premium market club. When these clubs arrived I was more that pleasantly surprised. The are the most attractive irons I have ever seen. I have been playing the for 3 months now and certaily believe this are a great game improvement club. I am a 7 handicap can definitely notice the consistency of ball flight. They are so consistent(straight), I real low handicap player might find these clubs difficult to work the ball. Great feel, great looks, great price, and Top Flite does have a long legacy for making excellent irons. Top Flite may not be the best marketer of golf clubs, but read the reviews of older Tour and other Top Flite irons. Alway excellent reviews. Theese clubs definately added distance which was tough getting used to. For instance i was 165 out and hit a 6 iron and flew the green. I've played about five rounds with them and enjoy the accuracy and forgiveness they offer. For the price, you just can't beat them. Best clubs i've ever owned. |

If i only had 1 word to describe these clubs, it would be "Total Package". Incredible distance, amazing accuracy, forgiving is an understatement. Top Flite has also improved the looks from the XL2000. The only clubs that i've found comparable are 700$ Ping i3. I've tried them all and these clubs not only beat them out in distance, accuracy, forgiveness, but the price tag sealed the deal. Dont let the price fool you, these are top of the line clubs with top of the line technology. Reviews for this club are still rare, so i thought i'd submit one. I´m still a beginner and these clubs have improved my game a lot from my supermarket wilson tour tc clubs. The low center of gravity helps if you have trouble getting the ball in the air like i did. No more of that with these clubs. they have also cured my slice, so if you're having problems with that, try these. the clubhead size is pretty large which i definitely favour and the sweet spot is huge. i'm very happy i got these. they are cheap enough for beginners. Customer Service Can't tell since i haven't needed it, I recon it will be bad for me since i live in Germany and they don't seem to have subsidaries here Similar Products Used: quite a few supermarket clubs ;) |

The look of irons caught my eye the first time I saw them. I started researching them and comparing the specs vs. the titleist and liked what I found. I have hitting them for about a month and I am very pleased with how solid they feel, especially the 3 iron. I am hitting that iron so far its incredible. I have been hitting par 5's in two from 230-240 with no problem. I used my 3 iron to tee off with on one par 4 at 375 yards. There was about a 15mph tail wind and I ended up less than 20 yards from the green. My friend and I could not believe it. I love these clubs. |

The first thing that stood out for me was the look. I've hit Top Flite irons in the past, but, I did not like the "look" of the irons, so I never purchased, until now. The feel for me was excellent. Look down view was good. I hit these clubs somewhat higher than my previous set(Cobra CXI's). Accuracy was improved and the ball usually was hit with a slight draw. Shaping shots might be a bit difficult, so more seasoned golfers probably would not want these.I know Top Flite hasn't been real renowned for their clubs, but, I am quite surprised with these irons, considering I was looking at getting some Cleveland TA 7's. The weekend golfer or the person who can only play 4-10 times a month, these aren't bad clubs to buy. The look, really sold me.They don't have that dull (XL 2000)or ugly look of past Top Flite Irons. Customer Service It took about 4 weeks to get to the store I purchased them from, which is what the proshop attendent informed me of prior to buying.
