These golf clubs are above and beyond any other golf club that I have ever used. I set out to find the perfect club for me and I did. I have hit almost every new club on the market and none of them came close. Even poor shots were exciting to watch. They are simply great!

There is nothing to dislike about these irons! Simply put, some of us do not like to play blades. There seems to be a real snobery about this subject, but even some of the pros play bigger heads...so lets get that over with! If you don''t give these a try you won''t know what you are missing! These irons are excellent. They set up very well and have a nice clean look with a relatively thin top line (I like that). They are very well balanced throughout the set. They do provide feedback, and you will know a bad hit from a good one without needing medical attention. I found no loss of distance and better control than my previous clubs. They aslo have a higher trajectory which helps the ball sit when it has to. The only advise I have besides...get some...is don''t pay pro shop prices. Although they can go for as high as $699, in places like Ebay they are going for $575 max. Good luck!

Model Reviewed: Titleist 822OS w/ NS950 R-flex

Past couple of month I had some time to evaluate a lots of clubs, and play a lot of golf thanks to mild winter weather here. I''ve been trying to find right set of clubs(whole set) to improve my game, and to focus on my swing consistency. After playing with several different models and makes I settled with Titleist 822OS. They are the most accurate/consistent clubs with respect to distance, they are the straightest and they just feel great throughout the swing before and after the impact. Nippon Steel shaft feels not too heavy, yet firm(not too rigid) compare to other steel shafts. Club heads are very attractive, durable and don''t look overly large after play with them few times. I would recommend NS950 shaft over any other shafts, they play like a firm to stiff graphite shaft with much more consistency with just enough weight to club. I played with Callaway x-14 graphite(firm), they are as forgiving, but not as consistent nor feel right on your hand. Top-flite XL2000 and King Cobra Oversize clubs were closest to 822OS, but 822OS won out because of its looks, and feel(NS950 shaft). I''ve spent a lot of money trying out different clubs(not to mention many different drivers), but in all it was well worth it. You got to try them out on the course several times before making your decisions. You loose $100 to $200 per club in making the trade in, but no club pro nor custom fitting can make it right 100%. Lastly I would recommend any mid to high handicapper to read Ben Hogan''s "The Modern Fundamentals of Golf" and Jim Flick''s "On Golf" in that order, and if you still have some free time all of Harvey Penick''s book series.

Great irons! They feel very soft on contact. Almost like forged. Thicker top line and easy swinging. I just about ordered the rifle shaft, but my club pro convinced me that the stock Nippon shaft was lightweight, strong and very good or Titleist wouldn''t be using them. He was right. The Nippon steel shaft is fine. only got 2 rounds in before winter set in, but one thing I''m sure of. They are extremely straight.

Customer Service

My club pro recently sent my 2 year old Titleist bag back to Titleist because the strap broke. They returned a 2002 model bagback within 1 week.
