I recently purchased these irons after a few trials at my local Golf Shop (Drummond). As soon as I had them I headed straight for the ranges and started practicing with them vigorously. Ball after ball felt smooth and soft and I must say, that’s a very good first impression after trying out a new set of clubs. There was the off shot, but purely my own fault, that caused the ball to go far right. But once again, I wasn’t concentrating.
I purchased the clubs with stiff steel shafts (Dynamic Gold, S300) and I like the trajectory I get from the irons. I find that I am gaining an extra 10-15 yards compared to my last irons, which were the Powerbilt TPS.
The 8, 9 and PW are blade style clubs which I find to feel very soft on impact and also provides me with more confidence that I can control a lot more shots with it (high, low & left, right). Very stylish and sleek clubs that also adds confidence. I can’t wait to show these off to my friends.
This will be my first review for these irons and after I have been to the courses I will update you all.

Im a new pro and ive decided (nw i get everything real cheep) to update the clubs in my bag so i started off with the irons - the 1s i hv at the moment r the taylor made combo (half blades) same idea as these but found they r 2 blade like 4 wot they look like even tho their nice. I looked at the ben hogan half blades and they were amazin they r the longest hitting irons out there and nicest looking! Neway 1 morning wen i was working in the shop a set of custom irons came in and i unwraped them found out they were the titleist that i hd heard a little about. of course i went straight ova 2 the range 2 hv a try and... QUALITY! They hv a gr8 soft and slightly hard feal about them jst how half blades should b like! I hv no trouble hitting the 690MB irons i strike the ball well enuf but these are better no joke. Also they r so forgiving! dead easy 2 hit get the right shaft in them and watch the ball fizzz thru the air! The best clubs eva made i recon! Maybe a little pricy tho 4 those who dnt work in a golf shop! But in poportion 2 all the other latest irons on the market bargain! And yes these will also suit the 15 handicaper wanting a nice lookin set of irons like blades. These r soooo sexy! 10/10 for looks! When i tried these out on the course i went from shootin level par/-2 to shooting -1/-4 under par. cnt miss the pins with them! Fair play titleist!!

I play off a 9 handicap and have used Ping I3 blades for the past 5 years. I don't change my clubs often as I am a believer that the swing mechanics play a larger role than equipment does in improvement. So over the holidays I decided it was time to retire the I3's and started looking for a new set of irons. I wanted to stay in a set of blades as I like to work the ball in both directions, and still wanted some forgiveness. A friend of a friend is a titleist Rep. and being left handed I can't really demo clubs easily. So I called the Rep. and had him send a set of the 735's. This is a beautiful set of clubs. Clean lines, great set-up. I have played about 4 rounds with these clubs and here is what I can tell you: Very soft, consistent trajectory, and the 3,4,5,6 irons are decent of forgivess. Short irons are muscle back and have great control of ball flight. These clubs have incredible feedback while maintaing a pure feel when struck with a good swing. I chose the chrome version mainly because of the great look and partly because a friend has the Stainless version and he said they were wearing about the same as his old chrome mizuno's did. Knowing the chrome 735 is made out of 1025 mild carbon and it wears about the same as the chrome version I went for the softer feel of the chrome. and they don't dissapoint. The flighted trajectory is really nice, and the clubs blend together well. I will use iron covers in hopes that I can make these last another 5 years (like my pings did). Just a fantastic set of irons. I got a pretty good price on these from a titleist rep. but I still think that retail $800 is still alot of $$ and these club makers are making large profits off us. That is why I marked value a 4.

I play off a 9 Handicap and had been using the TM RAC LTII's which were very good clubs but missed the feel only a FORGED iron can give you. I went to a Titleist demo day and tried out the 735CM's. I was a little apprehensive at first about hitting a "players club" and had always thought that they were more suited to a pro or someone that played off 5 or less. I was wrong. After hitting them for at least an hour in all the irons (ie not just the 6 iron)I fell in love. I now have them on order from Titleist and should have them in about a week. In the meantime (over the last 2 weeks) I have been using the demo set in club comp's and there is only one word that comes to mind in describing them, a word that I do NOT use lightly, or use it flippantly like other single figure handicappers do. The word? PURE! I have had a great many sets of irons, probably more than I would like to admit to, from nearly every A Grade golf brand there is - except belive it or not Titleist up until now. If ths 735CM is a sign of the quality product that Titleist are now producing I will be putting them at the top of my list the next time I want to update my equipment. Although I have to say that I cant see myself handing these beautiful 735CM's over for a long long time! Well done Titleist - keep up the good work!!!

Although these have been out for a few months and I liked the looks of them I guess I didnt give them much of a chance because I had purchased the 704's when they first came out and thought they looked great only to be disappointed with their performance. That being said I gave them a serious look about a month ago. I work PT at a large golf shop and can take out virtually anything and demo for as long as I like, a great benefit for any golf addict. I hit the demo 6 iron w/ the DG300 shaft after numerous buckets on the range I must admit being extremely surprised at the consistency, feel, accuracy and distance control of the iron. I have almost always hit the DG300 shaft probably over 25 years and recently have found the rifle shafts to be more to my likeing. I was a little hesistant because we all know hitting on the range is a lot different than on the course. However I decided to order a set of the stainless 735cm w/ Rifle Project X shaft 5.5 (med stiff) After a few rounds with these babies, I can say without question I made the right call. This is one of the most solid and consistent irons I have ever hit. Short irons have a nice controllable trajectory and are deadly accurate, the muscle back design promotes a solid feel at impact. The cavity backs in the set are a bit more forgiving and the ball flight is boring and consistent as well. Even the 3 iron may make it back into the bag, I find them that easy to hit, and better control than my hybrid. I really love the project X shafts as well. Also graphite like in their shock absorbtion but as consistent as any steel shaft should be. Just overall thrilled with the combo. I'm not going to brag about increased distance they are about the same as I have been getting with my Macgregor 1025CM's. Maybe slightly less than Callaway Xtours but trajectory is not as ballooning in the 8-pw as I feel the Xtours are. I would highly recommend these for anyone 15 handicapped or lower. PLus they are just a damn pretty club to look at with an excellent profile at set up.

UPDATe to prior review, These are great but the Bridgstone J33 is better. Swapped clubs w/a partener and tried the J33's and they knock the 735's to #2. I tend to dig a little and the J33's are much more forgiving and easier to hit. And possibly more accurate. They feel a tad smoother also, traded the 735's in on J33's

Nicest irons I have ever played, Have had mizuno mx 23's in bag for 3 yrs and tried 690mb's ,mp32's mp60's and ta 2's nothing could get the mx 23's out of bag till now. THese are increadibly accurate and easy to hit. A tad less forgiving than the 23's but vastly more accurate in controlling ball flight and spin. Easy to hit fades, draws, knockdowns, or just consistantly straight. Beware shaft lengths are a tad different(long) in the wedge and 9 iron.

Was playing Callaway X Tours, and probably would have continued had I not stumbled across someone at the range with these who let me try them. Definitely a better trajectory and MUCH better feel to them. Because of the cavity back construction of the Callaways, while the long irons were easy to hit, the same cavity back really increased the height of the mid-irons and short irons. With the blade configuration of the Titleist, and progressive cavity back of the the mid to long irons, you get the best of both worlds! I bought the stainless steel version and am extremely happy with the entire set! I would highly recommend these to people who have been playing a while and want a nice compromise between forgiveness and player's club.

Absolutely the best irons ever. I have been playing Callaway irons for the last couple years, most recently the X-16 and can tell you that I will play Titleist from here on out. Being a 15 handicap I always felt I would be committing golf suicide by buying a set of player’s irons like forged Titleist. Let me tell you, not only are these clubs the truest softest clubs when hit pure, they are more forgiving for me than my Callaway X-16 (which is promoted as a forgiving club for the everyday player) I went out and played my first round today and can say that it was the most fun I’ve ever had hitting golf balls. If you are in the market for a new set of irons, do yourself a favor and try these clubs.

Like the previous viewer says these irons are outstanding and Titleist got it perfect. I believe that these are by far the best cavity to blade progression on the market. The looks are great, but in performance they are amazing. The 8-pw is awsome and is as good as any blade out there. I have been playing the 690.mb for the last 4 years and are great irons, however, these are twice as good and I will tell you why. The 3 thru 7 iron in the cavity back is so easy to hit. Titleist in the engineering got it right. I have NEVER been able to hit a 3 iron as high as I hit these or as easy. That is why I have 2 rescue woods. I'm seriosly thinking about carrying a 3 iron. That is the first time in 2 years because I couldn't believe how easy and high they went. What is nice about these is that they are a players club. Don't think of these cavity back as some big clubs. They are smaller then my 690.mb, but a lot more forgiving and easierr to hit. The 8-pw is not that much difference, but the 735.cm actually have less offset in the 8-pw then my 690mb's and smaller. If you go out to Titlist site they show a graphic on the 735.cm. They show you how the longer irons get in the air higher and the mid irons are mide level and the scoring irons 8-pw are a lower ball flight. I have played 8 rounds with these and this is EXACTLY right what Titleist is saying. They perform at that level, that is why I believe these have more technology then other irons on the market. I mean really if you had to pick how you would want to hit your irons. This is exactly the setup you would want. So for me I got easier irons to hit but irons that are actually smaller then my previous sticks. These have been a great upgrade for me and will stay in my bag for a long time.
