Just got these and I have to say they're fantastic! The price here in Finland is a bit on the "salty" side but I think the clubs are worth every penny. (or cent...) I had, and still have the Hogan Apex plusses but the 690MB's LOOK better, FEEL better and give me more confidense. What more could you want? How ever I have to agree with whats-his-name who said that you have strike the ball quite purely to do well with these clubs. BUT if you hit the sweet spot... :o)

These are the first blades that i have ever played, I used to play Ping Eye 2's. All I have to say is give these clubs a chance. If your new to blades don't give up on these clubs, once you get used to them you'll be very pleased. great clubs.

I am a young golfer lowering my handicap every year. I needed new blades to replace my 40-year old ones. I like Titleist a lot and find their clubs to be the best in the game. The 690 MB irons are no exception to that. They are the best irons I have ever hit. The price is not that much higher than other irons, and the results are amazing. If you have a good swing and solid contact, these clubs will be a sweet additino to your bag. High or low, draw or fade, all is made possible with the 690 MBs. Titleist proves once again that they are at the top in golf equipment.

these are the best clubs on the market today. as soon as i got them i gained a club in distance and i had been already hitting mizuno blades. these are the most workable clubs i have ever hit and i woldnt hit anything else. i have the standard shafts in them but i want to get rifles in them. with these clubs all i have to do is think about where i want the ball to go and it does. o and dont buy nike irons they really suck.

I was using 990 and recently switched to 690MB. Traded in mine and got almost new 690 MB. These are the best I have ever played with. Average 20 to 30 yards more on each club. Very precise, but almost zero tolerance level. If you want to feel and hear what pros hit, go for it and won't regret

Purchased late last year. Hit many other sets of blades (hogan, mizuno, nike, and the Titleist 691 blades) and some "near blades". 690MBs are best in the group for overall performance. Very smooth feeling throughout swing. Exceptional feel at impact. Wonderfully workable (high, low, draw, fade). A couple of concerns: the lies are compressed--3 degree spacing in the long irons and 4 degree in the short irons. If you are used to stronger lofts, buy the 2-iron and drop the 4i. Don't deloft these too much or you go do zero degree bounce. I hit them much higher than I thought I would. If you are already a very strong ball striker and hit the ball high, consider the 691s before jumping on the 690s. Titleist was not allowing any custom shaft lengths on these when I bought them, so I am suffering from the process of working through the debate about going to butt extensions..a painful process. These are the best clubs I have ever hit and would not go back to anything else. Be warned, however, if you impact pattern isn't extremely tight on the clubface, you've got no business messing around with blades unless you are going to make a serious investment in fixing you swing. If you are a good shot maker with a sound swing, these clubs will reward you greatly. Well struck shots with these clubs are a zen experience.

The Titleist 690mb's are fantastic! The look and feel of the irons provide the confidence one needs to make great shots. The great thing about the 690mb's are the feedback they give you on every shot. Seemingly enough, these blades are rather forgiving even on miss hits. However, to maximize the true feel of these irons, the sweet spot is about the size of a dime in the center of the club face. If you can't hit the sweet spot consistantly buy some lessons than buy these clubs. You won't regret it.

Superb feel and control. If you want to shape your shots the way you like them (draw, fade, cut,..etc) these irons are it. A bit hard to hit with at first, especially if you've been hitting cavatiy backs, but you'll get used to them quicky. The best golf club investment I've made thus far.

Softest club I have hit. I have demoed many clubs but these by far are the softest and best feeling clubs. I have only played a few rounds with these but I already know that they will be in my bag for a very long time. They give a higher trajectory than I thought and are a little shorter (maybe because it has been very cold)than my previous irons but that can be adjusted easily since they are forged. Unlike most blades, there is confidence when you stand over the ball. I highly recommend these clubs.

I have had this for a month and a bit now. I used to play with Wilson (piece of crap) clubs but it was just rubbish. Then I borrowed my friends old (1982) Ben Hogan Apex blades where the clubface is slightly smaller than the 690s. I tried callaway clubs x-14s (overrated IMO), TaylorMade RAC and Mizuno MP30s but nothing compares to the BEST blades ever. Lots of feel and extra distance. Even though I'm a high handicapper I think these are good set of clubs to start to grow into. It helps you to focus on hitting it straight all the time. I dont want the clubs to compensate for my lack of skill. I dont think I'll ever be switching clubs for a long time.
