Well i read through alot of reviews and went into today thinking this club is not for me.I demoed the callaway x-16's,mizuno mp30's,TA7 tour(very good club),hogan pro edge and finally the Titleist 690MB.Well i walked away with the Titleist 690MB because they are the best feeling irons i have ever hit.Forged my friends is the only way to go.I was hitting the 7 iron 185 yards and that was average.Superb ball flight. I have never felt anything like hitting a ball with these irons.I can only copare it to taking a practice swing, because it was so easy.Titleist has truely out done themselves with these irons. IMO they are the best irons on the market.I do agree that u have to be a good ball striker to hit thses irons. All i need now is to learn how to putt the ball into the hole.I will give a more informed review on these irons in about 6 months to a year. All i have to say is that these irons will be in my bag for a very long time!!!!

If you are a good ball striker buy these blades. If not buy some lessons, then buy these blades!! It does not matter what your handicap is but how you strike the ball. Get rid of your garden tools and play a players club.

These are the best irons I've ever hit. Very easy to hit for a forged blade. I didn't lose any distance vs. my previous set even though the lofts on the 690MB's are a little weaker. Ball flight is higher than I expected but not overly so. Only noticeable distance loss on toe hits. Best looking clubs around.

POSTED REVIEWS ON OTHER TITLEIST IRONS,BUT THESE ARE BY FAR THE BEST NON-CUSTOMED SET OFF THE RACK IRONS AVAILABLE.THESE BLADES HAVE THE NEUTRALIZING DOWEL IN THE HOSEL FOR VIBRATION DAMPENING. THESE BLADES ARE ALSO MORE FORGIVING THAN ONE THINKS OF A BLADE. BEING LEFTY I'M NOT ABLE TO HIT EVERYTHING BUT IF AVAILABLE I'VE HIT IT! FOR ME MY TENDENCY IS TO BE STEEP SO A THIN SOLE CLUB WAS A MUST. PEFORMANCE IS AWESOME FOR ALL CONDITION AND MY VERSION OF THE STINGER IS THE ENVY OF ALL MY FRIENDS. IF YOU ARE IN THE MARKET FOR NEW STICKS TRY'EM YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!

Some of the golfers here have said the 690 MBs are for better players only. I disagree. I shoot in the 90s and I love em! Headed for the 80s with these little gems!! What a great feel these clubs have. They are soft and will scratch on the sole, being mild steel. The faces are top notch, the ball responds consistantly off them. low sole weighting lifts the ball up and sets it flying with pinpoint accuracy. Zen man!!

These clubs are a dream come true. There is no feeling better than puring one of theses irons. The irons have an extremely soft feel. These irons are one of the best looking on the market. I recommend these clubs for single digits only, the heads are very small and the slightest miss hit are magnified ten fold. If you are a single digit golfer these clubs will be the best thing to happen to your golf game. Titleist just shows they truly are the pioneers in golf club design.

these irons are the purest feeling sticks you will swing. I had been playing Ping isi-k oversize for 3 years, and decided to go back to the blades it seems like the general population fears blades, but only becuase Golf companies make it seem that way. heck Golfers will believe and buy anything to help them do better. I will tell you, unless you are very poor ball striker, playing with blades is great. The power, shot-shaping and feel are everything you dont get with all the senior citizen oversize gimmick clubs. I highly recommend Demo these clubs you will crave the crisp feeling from peaching the ball with them afterwards. Give them a try, these irons were the best, followed behind the Hogan blades, Mizuno and Nike.

Besides of my continuation of coaching from the pro, the selection of suitable equipment to improve the game is one of my targets. I used Maxfli Australian blade DG R300 steel shaft for a year. In fact, it helped me a lot to focus on the fundamental of my basic swing. Later, I switched to use Mizuno MP33 DG R400 this year because it is a forged blade. Just love the appearance and the feel. When Titleist released 690MB this year, the similar looking as Mizuno MP33 attract me. I just wanted to demo it but I wanted to try it with different shaft and other similar products. I called the pro shop and asked them to make the arrangement. A month later, I demo 690MB with different steel shaft including Rifle PCM 5.5 and DG S300. I also demo other similar blade irons in the pro shop including TM300 forged, MP33, Nike blade. Just love the feel and feedback when swing 690MB with DG S300. Finally I purchased it and love the extra distance (10 yards further) and control (straighter) this great iron give. It’s a little bit expensive compared with other products but it’s worth the price.

These clubs are great, first I purchased the 690 CB, but they felt to much like 990. I really didn't like the feel of them. So switching to the 690 MB what a difference. The distance and accuracy is great. They look like a true blade, I thought i would never find a blade like the Mizuno MP 33, but these clubs are a step above them.I 'm glad Titleist finnaly came out with a blade that performs just like their drivers.Great clubs!
