bought this set on July 7th and finally I had a chance to play them in my golf league. It is the best round of golf I have played yet, shot a 39 on a par 37. Many of the shots felt like butter, miss hits were shorter but still on line. I'm glad I made the change from cavity back to forge muscle backs. They really make you focus on your swing and they felt pretty forgiving for me. Similar Products Used: callaway x14, titleist 762 |

Nice clubs. Beautiful finish. Nice feel but not even close to the sweet feel of MP-33's. A little pricey compared to Mizuno's. I guess Titleist has to pay out so much to their tour players they need us to make up the difference. I have been playing the titleist 762's for about a year now and was looking to take my game to the next level. This last week I was at myrtle beach and decided to go to golf deminsions and demo some clubs. I tried the 690.cb's,phils 731's, and the 690.mb. With out question the 690.mb's felt the softest and from reading all the reviews about forge clubs I decided to purchase the 690.mb's. I haven't played them yet but when I do I'll let everyone know how they work out. They are actually too pretty to hit but I also purchased some iron protectors after reading reviews on how they get dinged up in the bag. These clubs perform as good as they look. I am an assistant golf professional in the Philadelphia section of the PGA. I just switched from a set of Mizuno Pro II's. I thought i could work the ball great with the mizuno's but when i layed my hands on the titleist's it was a whole new world. I cant say enough about these sticks. Wow!!! These clubs are amazing! Just played my first round with my new set of custom fit 690's, and I have to say I'm very happy. These irons feel every bit as good as they look. Forget everything you've ever read about having to be a low handicap to play muscle backs/blades. Handicap has nothing to do with it. These clubs are more forgiving than I'd expect from a blade. I've only been swinging these clubs for two days and already I'm hitting them better than my old cavity backs. They will help you become a better ball striker. Ultimately, that's what we all want, right? You will know when you miss the sweet spot, but surprisingly the feel of a mis-hit shot still feels pretty good. When setting up over the shot, the compact head squares up very nicely. It gives me overwhelming confidence which usually results in a well struck shot. Ball flight is a little higher than my old irons (Lynx black cats) and distance is about the same. Even the long irons were surprisingly easier to hit than I'd expected. Though the trajectories were a little higher, it was still a nice, penetrating ball flight which stayed on line very nicely. And when you hit it pure, man oh man......A buddy of mine I was playing with (who shoots in the high 90's) hit a few shots with these and he was amazed as well. He was hitting them more solidly than his Callaway's. If you do decide to purchase these, I recommend going to an authorized Titleist dealer who can then custom fit them for you. Most of these places won't charge you for the fitting, and if you end up with standard lies and lengths, you can shop around on the internet for the best price. Titlest's website has a list of dealers you can choose from in your area. Good luck! Similar Products Used: Lynx black cat |

After debating for some time and reading reviews of the 690.MB, I decided it was time for a change. I had played the GS Pro Grinds for three years and had probably my best year in 2003 with the GS blades, but the MB's looked so sweet and I had some merchandise credit to use up. My first round with them was a 71, hitting 13 GIR. These clubs took no getting used to. Clubheads felt a little light, but feel was everybit as good as the GS blades and much softer than the Miz's. Fades, cuts, & draws are a breeze and I have not experienced any loss of distance, even though ball flight seems higher. Shafts are DG S-300's (spined). The forgiveness factor is surprisingly good, although a bad swing will produce a jolt to your system! But put a good swing on these babies and OH WOW, what a feeling! I think these clubs will best benefit the better player, because of the feedback you get on every shot and ease of shaping your shots. The clean classic lines on these blades draws attention from all golfers. Titlest has done a great job with the 690's and I anticipate these will be in the bag for quite some time! If you have been considering purchasing a set of blades, you can't go wrong in choosing these. I doubt that you will be disappointed! Customer Service Haven't used. After reading all the great reviews of these irons, I got custom fit at the local pro shop and ordered my own. Was on the fence between the CB's and the MB's. I fell in love with the MB's--was hitting that 6 iron nice and pure--great feeling. Can't wait until next week when they arrive. Will write a more detailed review after playing them Customer Service Haven't needed to use it yet |

Well after considerable play with these clubs I am very satisfied. My previous review was perhaps during a slump (no-how could thatbe). Any way she who must be obeyed let me know it's dinner time. A fine club. Customer Service Great |

the new 690mb irons are again a symbol of titleists theory on heavy headed golf clubs after using a set of mizuno tp9 irons for 3 years these are not a patch and do not come close to matching the mizunos they are a dead heavy golf club and even shots struck out of the middle fly on a ball flight that is no where comparible to other clubs that i have used Customer Service the service from my proffessional was brilliant Similar Products Used: titleist 990 heavy and horrible mizuno tp9 brilliant and very easily workable |
