I got to side with the previous review. Taylor Made is just hopping on the Mizuno wagon here. If you are interested in these you should definitely check out the proII's. Mizuno has been making irons like these for years now where as Taylor Made has been lingering around the Game improvement area without actually commiting to it. This being said I still think these are the best irons taylor made has put out since the Burner Tour. If I had a preference I would still choose the burner tour. When I swing the X300's I get this sensation that they put to much weight in the sole. I know this is to help higher handicappers get the ball in the air, but it has no place in irons like these. Once again Taylor Made is trying to blur the line between players and duffers. The stock grips are terrible. The irons have been durable though. I had to hit out from a tree root ala Sergio and I really put a beating on my 6 iron but it shows no wear whatsoever. Also Taylor Made got silly with the lofts. I think they tried to make people feel more confident because the relaxed lofts do contribute to straighter shots but at such a cost!!!! I have lost nearly 10 yards per iron!!!! X-300 Forged with 6.0 rifle
I have been playing these irons for about a month now, and while I initially was extremely in love with them I now feel as if I made my purchase too hastily. I should have just bought the Mizuno Pro II's. The Mizunos are a far superior iron. Taylor Made does not have a bad product here, it's just that my yardages fell off dramatically the moment I started playing these clubs. I think I will go back to my apex's for now because they have a better feel and the yardages are more appropriate. Also the sole grind on the X-300's is odd. When you are in the rough the toe has a tendency to shut too quickly. I ended up fixing this by opening the blade at address but I feel like it is more of a technical problem with the club more than anything else. Also the long irons seem a little light and I have tended to lose the head in my backswing. 5-6 thru the P are fine though. The grips are average but then so are most of Taylor Mades stock grips. These irons do look good when you are standing over them. The magic just wore off quicker with these irons than any other set I have ever owned. Customer Service ? Super feel. The most workable clubs I have ever owned. Distance is average but the ability to get the club set up to match your game is outstanding. With the choice of shafts or better yet, the ability to have them ground 3 degrees + or - depending on your swing. Players will know the difference. Similar Products Used: DCI's |

As with my review of the new Taylor Made woods, these irons are simply amazing. I currently play the Taylor Made Firesole tour. So, I was looking forward to trying out the new forged X-300 FCI. Similar Products Used: None |

Wow! what a beautiful iron... nice to see Taylor Return to making "Player's" irons. Reminds me a lot of the Mizuno Tzoid Pro... but sets up better, particularly the short irons which have less offset than the Mizuno's and don't have such a large face. sit very square behind the ball and make you feel like a player. Sweetest looking satin finish I've ever seen on an iron. Feel very solid, similar sofg/solid feel to Miz Tzoids/blades... Love 'em. Similar Products Used: Mizuno MP-9, MP-14, T-Zoid Pro/II |

I recently purchase a set of Taylor Made X-300 FCI and my impression is that these clubs are excellent. There is not a loss of distance but a fantastic ability to hit a wide variety of shots, high and low and also the ability to work these clubs left and right. I love these irons. They are definately not short, and have great feel. The irons are easily workable and for a forged club are incredibly forgiving. Similar Products Used: Ping, Titleist, Ben Hogan |

No wonder i got such a great deal at 500.00. i thought, wow, what a great set of sticks for the $$. well, now i know why. these clubs absolutely suck!! i played everyday for 2months and my friends are all busting my chops. i hit my pitching wedge 125yards (max) all out. this comming from a player who swings 119mph with driver. the feel is terrible, the distance is that of a jr. club set and the price that i paid (which is hundreds cheaper than new)is not even close to a real value. the only good thing about the clubs are their asthetic appeal, other than that, everything about the clubs stink!! i tried to sell the clubs to a couple of guys at my club, but after they hit the clubs at the range they thought i had done something to them. they were convinced that in no way would a taylor made product perform that bad. i have to admit, it was kind of entertaining watching these scratch golfers hitting the 2 iron about 195yards and the pw 115-120 max. now, ihave read the reviews on this club already and most will agree with me that these clubs really do suck, but some actually gave them a 5 star rating. could those (FEW) people actually be taylor made employees trying to save face with their new product? i believe so. the thing is, if any of you have ever played an old forged blade, ie. older tourneys, staff blades, hogans, etc.. you all know that the specs on those clubs had weaker lofts and shorter shafts. well, as a good example, those clubs out distance these talor mades by far. hard to believe, but it's true. anyway, to anyone thinking about purchasing these clubs, please demo them first and not just assume that because they are taylor made that it is a good product. you will be surprised to find out just how much they suck. Customer Service never want to talk to them, never will i buy another taylor made product!! Similar Products Used: honma tour blades, staff blades, titleist tour forged, kenneth smith forged blades |

I am in love with these clubs. From the first time I demo'd them I knew that they were right for me. Feedback is excellent and the balance of these clubs make it easy to know where the blade is during your swing. If anything I would say that these clubs are somewhat longer than my old set. The only negative thing I can think of is the stock cord grip that comes with these sticks, but that is a personal preferance. I think there are some bad reviews from people who are not exactly sincere or not to bright to invest that much money in a set of clubs without throughly testing them out first. I do wonder if because these are a limited set if this will be a bad thing for the golfers who buy them or if this will down the line increase thier value because of the small number manufactured? Bottom line, these are wonderful clubs..... Customer Service none Similar Products Used: Mizuno |
