These are great clubs. I was an 8 handicap at the end of last year using Callaway X-16 irons. I tried my friends RAC OS irons while on vacation and was hooked. After 30+ rounds this year with my new RAC OS irons, with the stiff graphite shaft, (95mph+ swing speed), I am a 4 handicap. I hit the ball further and straighter than I ever have. These clubs are the best bargain out there. Similar Products Used: Callaway X-16 Ping i |

i have been playing the rac's for about 2 months now. they have the stock steel shafts. they don't get the added distance that they say they do in the adds, but they are extremely forgiving. ball striking isn't my strong point, and still isn't, but these make those mis-hits travel almost as far, and definately as online. the only knock that i have is that i hit the odd overdraw due to the offset. it is pretty difficult to hit a nice fade. however, the long irons are awesome, i find myself going to them off the tee on short par 4's where i never ever used to hit my old 3 or 4 irons. i compared them to the mizuno mx-20s which were amazing irons, but the wedge just didn't feel right in this set. the cleveland ta7's were a disappointing third since i love cleveland, but the just didn't feel solid or smooth no matter what club i hit, it felt harsh, maybe just my ball striking. i would have liked to have hit the titleist 690's, but they are just a little out of my price range. but if they hit the way they look, they would be amazing. give both the rac's and the mx20s a try when looking for a new set of irons. Taylor Made RAC OS Combo w/ Rescue Mid
As I used the services of GolfReview. com to help me make my purchase, I felt it only right that I share the results of my research with other enthusiasts looking for new equipment. Having used 12 year-old hand-me-down Wilsons my entire life, I was in desperate need of help. And help was exactly what I have found in these clubs. From the ample grips (as opposed to the banana peels on the Wilsons), to the lite steel shafts, to the way the clubface addresses the ball, these clubs exude quality, and as such have given me a confidence I had not known before. The feel on the shots are a little muted due to the RAC's feel pockets behind the face (a relief on stingers) are pure heaven when spanked in the sweet spot. This technology also seems to somehow straighten shots destined for the pond or woodlot in mid-air. Very forgiving, you really have to hit the ball poorly to mis-hit with these clubs. A little more than I had intended to spend, I purchased these Clubs as a combo (minus the 3 and 4 iron) with a 19 and 22 degree Taylormade Rescue Mid club, and this is where you will see amazing improvement. Not an iron or wood, this in-between club is like no other I've tried. Easy to hit, the ball goes long and straight. Truly inspiring. A mid-to high handicapper should definetly trys these clubs before they make any purchase. Customer Service Taylor Made C.S. not yet used, however Golftown staff are outstanding. Very knowledgeable and really want you to play better golf with the equipment that's right for you. Not what they need to get rid of that month. rac os
Before buying the irons I tried the Ping +i3 and the Callaway X16 (or whatever the latest irons are called). Broke 100 for the first time with the Callaways and was tempeted to buy them. Am glad i didn't. Have been using the rac os and they are great. Very high trajectory which i like. Although not as forgiving as I expected nevertheless have improved my ball striking. Also, am definetly hitting farther than with my old clubs - 7 iron 150 - 160. Took a while to get used to them but am now shooting in the 90s on a regular basis as opposed to 115 - 135. Best money I ever spent on clubs. |

RAC OS stiff graphite
I owned the TM RAC OS for about 4 months. I bought them without hitting them because I liked what I read about them and I thought they looked forgiving. They are a decent iron, but I don't like the feel and they aren't as forgiving as I expected them to be. The RAC OS ad campaign touts extra distance - "where you once hit a 6 iron, you'll be hitting an 8 iron". That wasn't the case for me. I ended up demo'ing the X-16, MX-15 and the Hogan CFT's. I really liked the MX-15 and bought a set. They are very forgiving and have a better feel than the RAC OS irons. I really noticed how much easier the MX-15 long irons are to hit than the RAC OS. The RAC OS aren't a bad set of irons, but I would rate them below the MX-15 and even-up with the X-16's. Customer Service Never used. TM RAC OS Rifle Steel Shaft
Bought the set to replace my old no name brand. Very forgiving and much easier to handle. Took it to the range once before using them for my handicap test. It took me 2 holes to adjust to the new clubs (probably because of my own swing deficiencies)..felt even better, in tune and more confident with the clubs as the round progressed. Couldn't have made a better choice with the irons. Customer Service n/a |

I had these clubs custom made to my size. Plus one and up 3*. I hit these long and straighter then ever. The clubs still give you playabilty and feel with different shots. Also easy to get in air. Tried Callaway x-16, Mizuno mp 20 and 30's. These felt the best and a good price on ebay. Similar Products Used: callaway, cobra, mizunos |

RAC OS 2-iron
I bought just a 2-iron as I wanted something forgiving (even more than my 200 series). Huge head, and lots of offset means not too hard to hit - but can get a bit hooky. Goes well and gives more controllable, penetrating flight than a 5-wood (and cheaper too). Don't like the fact you can see the back of the cavity at addresss and not really a fan of the smooth grip. |

Before deciding on TM rac, I tried X-16, TA-7, 822 and Nike combo. For X-16, it is very good club, reasonably forgiving, soft feel like butter. But X-16 is way overpriced. For TA-7, It would be my next choice if I didn't buy TM rac. It is very similar feel to RAC OS. I bought TM Rac OS because it is very forgiving club, and very solf feel. I like its shape and high trajectory. It runs forward only a few yards on the green with 7 iron (155-160 yards). About 822 and Nike Combo, I could not hit them straight. The 822 has large sweet spot. But I don't like the feel. It is kind of rough if I don't hit sweet spot. Nike Combo is really hard feel even I hit it at sweet spot. It is also very small sweet spot. |

I spent all of 3 days testing irons at an outdoor range and on a simulator. The 3 in the final cut were the RAC's, the TA7's and Hogan Edge. In addition to long and accurate - I was looking for feel, good setup, etc. Finally the RAC's won by a big margin, and I have not been disapointed on the course. Great clubs. I just hope TM will stay with them. Customer Service None required. By the way, I don't know what the guy who said TM didn't replace clubs was talking about. My brother and brother-in-law have both played TM's for years. Each has had outstanding service from TM. Similar Products Used: Callaway X-14's; Yonex V-Mass 260; Cobra SS |
