Taylor Made RAC LTII Irons
A fantastic feeling golf club - the look of a blade - but with the confidence of a cavity back and when you hit them out the middle a super soft forged feel off the face. Although I play of a 9 handicap - I must admit I had my reservations about these clubs - I normally play with callaway x-16s or that type of game improvement club in the past - so to go to something that "looked" bladey, less forgiving and had LT (low trajectory) on the back of them - didnt exactly inspire me. As they say dont judge a book by its cover. These clubs went as far as my callaway x-16s, felt great of the face and were less clunky. The trajectory was also a surprise they went as high as I was hitting the x-16s. The RAC LTII irons are great - I love them - the only thing is that the head feels a little lighter than I am used to. (But I guess I will get used to that over time - after all after playing with the huge and super clunky x-16s - anything is bound to be lighter!!!) The LTII is a great club - go and try them. Customer Service Havent had to use it (touch wood) Similar Products Used: Callaway x-16s |

I wanted something between my clunky X-16 and a blade. These are perfect for my game right now. They are forgiving enough yet can work the ball. They're about 10 yds longer than my old X-16s. One shot that I will never forget was last weekend. I drove the ball far right into the woods onto another tee box with my old callaway driver. I had 145 yards back to the green with tall trees right in front of me. I took an 8 iron with a full swing and sure enough, right over the trees and on the green for a nice 15 foot birdie putt. AWESOME. These clubs give you so much confidence. If you're a scratch player, then look at blades, but for us 15-20 hdc, these are the bomb.... These are great irons. I usually shoot Low 80's, sometimes the high 70's. I had Mizuno blades because I like the looks of blades. I hit them fine 75% of the time but the 25% of time you miss the dime size sweet spot it really hurts. I decided to go with a more cavity back iron and I loved the LT. It keeps the ball down so it does not ballon like a lot of cavity backs I have hit. I also think they are about a club longer than my blades. I was hitting a 9 iron with the blades about 143 and I am hitting a 9 with the LT's about 150-155 or so. Very forgiving, miss hits go almost the same distance. Give these a try, they look good at address and have pretty good feeling for a cast club. I do have trouble hitting a fade with these but a draw is pretty easy. The forgiveness is worth having to try very had to hit a fade. Customer Service NA Similar Products Used: Mizuno MX-20, Mizuno MP-37, Maxfli Revolution. |

I did not like these irons. I am a big Taylor Made fan having used their woods for years but these irons are pretty average. Distances were variable and overall ball flight was very low. These irons are marketed as having a balance between feel and workability but I did not find them to be good at either. I would certainly suggest that you try before you buy but I think that there are much better irons out there for the same or lesser price. Personally I think Mizuno irons are hard to beat - MX 20's or 23's have to be some of the best irons made in my opinion. Customer Service Never used. I've been looking for irons to replace the old Wilson Staff blades I've been using since 1970! I went to Dicks Sporting Goods and hit 6 irons from 4 different makers trying to stay away from those oversized "fat" head irons. I have to say that the LT2s were easily the best club I hit during my testing. I got consistent distance and line. Even though they don't "talk back" like my WS blades do, I actually like it better because I can feel the weight of the club head (probably due to the really light steel shafts) so I still could tell good contact from bad without the added vibration - which will be appreciated in colder weather. I don't own these clubs yet so I haven't played them on grass but I'm going to buy them after 34 seasons with Wilson Staff blades. I'm very comfortable with making the switch. |

Simply awesome! They set up beautifully at address are easy to swing and feel amazing. I used to have Callaway x-16, they were OK. The RAC inspires confidence at address, it looks more like a players club than the x-16. To me look help, they still get the ball up quickly and land soft. I swore off Taylor Made after the old Firesoles, I am glad I came back! Customer Service These were custom fit with many different specs. I was originally told it would take 10 to 15 working days. I had them in my hands a week later! Similar Products Used: Callaway X-16 Clevland TA5 I demoed everything from the G2 to the Titleist 822 OS |

Taylor Made LT2 irons are the best I have ever played or owned. These irons are for players like myself who shoot in the low 90's-high 80's, with the occasional 82. They have added 10 yds. to my distance (6 iron about 180), but more importantly, I can shape my shots from left to right and vise versa. They set up beautifully, with a blade like style. And the shafts are very light, you fell a well balanced club head go right thru the ball. By far Taylor Made has out done themselves again. Customer Service Excellent customer care from Golfsmith's super center. Similar Products Used: Taylor Made Bubble. King Cobra oversized. |

Taylor Made LT2 irons are great. The thin top line and wide sole make hitting this iron a breeze. The new T-Step shaft is much better than the Dynamic Gold shaft that is found on similar culbs. Off center hitys still fly on target with minimal loss of distance. The club feels good and after 1500 range balls the heads look brand new. The shaft head combination is well suited with very good feel of the club head throughout the shot. The club is really not a low trajectory club. While it is an improvement over my old Ping I3+ Blades, the ball flight is still mid-high. The face angles suggest so. Great club for those that would like a blade look with lots of foregiveness. The grips need some work. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Ping I3+ blades, Callaway X16 pro model |

Not sure what the previous reviewer is trying to say but I think these are amazing irons. I have played them now for 10 rounds and am shocked at the workability of these irons. My previous irons were Titleist 681's and after trying a friends set of LT2's I made the switch. Not only do I get the workability of a blade but also the forgiveness of the LT2 head. I have had a great round with these irons two Wednesday's ago at Bay Hill Club in Orlando shooting a 5 under round. Even though I had very few putts (which always helps), it was the fairway play to set those putts up. Since then I have hit par twice and had a 3 under round. These irons speaks for themselves. I can't speak for everyone, not do I profess to have tried every iron. With that being said.... give these a try and see what you think. The switch from blades to these have helped ME. They may not help you...... Customer Service No reason to call thus far. Similar Products Used: Mostly Blades for the past 8 years. Latest clubs were Titleis.
