i am 15 years old and for my first set of serious golf clubs i decided to go with the RAC LT2's and i can tell you that i have not been disapointed. theese irons are simply the best ive ever hit and the look of the irons inspire confidence in me when i step over the ball wich is the first step to hiting a good shot. Well struck shots were rewarded with a long staight ball flight (though i don't hit them low like like the manufacture sugests), wile good shots were rewarded that doesnt mean these clubs are punishing when you miss hit them i've found them to be quite forgiving wile still geting accurate feed back and feel which i can put down to the rac tecnology. the only cririsism i have is of the grips the are good when you first get them but after a few rounds they are shoking. overal a quality club that i'm going to stay with a long time to come.

I have chopped and changed my irons a lot over the last two years searching for the right club. Well, this looks like it. Funnily enough I had the original LT's and hit them well. I thought I had improved enough to try blades, went to Mizuno, struggled for consistiency and then tried everything out there before my search led me back to TaylorMade LT's. (with my tail between my legs!) These are very good clubs. They are easy to hit, they are long and straight. You can work the ball and play knock down shots with ease. I always play a Nike One Black ball and get loads of check with any iron in the set. The only disappointing aspect of the clubs is that the quality of construction is nowhere near that of Mizuno or Titleist. The stiff T-Step shaft is light and good, but probably not as good as the original LT's rifle shafts. Also, these irons are very light (but very well balanced) and take a bit of getting used to. Well done TaylorMade.(Please up the quality a little bit) If you are not ready for blades or muscle-backs and don't like looking down at big, chunky game improvement irons try these. They are excellent clubs

Having injured my elbow (probably due to hitting off mats), put me in the market for new irons with graphite shafts. I am currently hitting MP33’s and love the feel of these irons and putting graphite shafts in these irons would be a mistake from what I have been told. I really liked the looks of the LT2’s, looks very much like a blade at address compared to other cavity back irons in the market. They feel solid on contact with a muted sound. The ball flight is medium with a lot of spin on greens. I really wanted to keep these irons but they are far shorter (10+ yards) than my Mizuno’s. I didn’t want to believe it. So I went back to my old 982 DCI’s VS LT2’s with the same results 10 yards short. I thought it might be the graphite. So, I demoed a Callaway X18, 8-iron in graphite and it was on par with with the Mizuno’s and DCI’s and very solid. It goes to show you, looks are not everything. It is performance that counts. PS. By the way the graphite shafts solved my elbow problem.

I have played 3 rounds of golf with these irons and I am very pleased. The ball comes off these very well and miss hits are felt, not as well as blades are felt but you know when you don't hit the club right. I demoed a large variety of clubs before buying these. Mx-23's,Mp-32's,Mp-60's,Nike NDS,Nike Slingshots,Nike Pro combo, and a few more. To me the Lt's had a better feel to them. I liked the weight and I like how they look. I think a lot of what clubs you like are due to preference. For me these clubs feel great and are accurate as long as you hit them right(That could be true for anything). If you are looking to buy these clubs I suggest go and demo similar models and see which feels right to you. I didn't hit the previous Lt's so I compare to them , but these irons are great.

these are awsome irons!!!!! they look great and feel awsome tooo. they have great control aw well. well these irons are a cavity back and surprizingly forgiving which is great because hey noones perfect. at the same time they have the awsome look of a blade irons but not as harsh on off center hits but dont get me wrong you can definitly still work the ball. also when you do hit the sweet spot you were think you were hiting a mizuno forged blade iron it feels like a stick of butter. of course not as much feedback but its still there of course. i would recomend this to a scratch golfer up to meby a 15 handicap if you strike your irons well. awsome iron!!!!!this will be in my bag until the groves are gone baby!!!

I recently decided to switch away from my X-14s. As my game has improved, I have become better at "working" the ball (well once in a while). I just could not hit a draw with the X-14s on a regular basis. My swing usually results in a fairly high ball flight. I have been working to bring my flight down, and I just found that with the X-14s I had difficulty in doing that. I looked into a bunch of different irons and the RAC LT2s fit what I was looking for. It matched my swing speed (95-100), allowed for the ability to work the ball, while still being forgiving, and did not promote such a high ball flight. I have been using them now for a little over a month, and I have been really happy with them. They are not for everyone, but I did find them to be right for me.

Model Reviewed: Taylormade Irons LT2 model

I bought mine from my local golf warehouse in Auckland New Zealand. I previously played the TM Burner oversize 2 - SW, and felt these were great Irons very easy to hit, nice looking and a solid feel. Having given the game away for the best part of 4 years due to other committments. I decided I needed to get myself up to date with the newer technology. Given the huge sums of money that can be "wasted" if a poor decision is made. I went through a careful selection process. I consider myself a useful golfer and certainly able to tell a good product from and average to a poor one. I tried the comparable level models of Taylor Made, Ping, Callaway, Titleist, Wilson, Clevland, and Nike. The Taylormade LT 2 was a clear winner. It really wasnt even close, whilst the others are all very good products from very reputable manufacturers the TM LT2 was so far out in front it was an easy choice to make. It looks better which is always a good start, and generally makes you feel "more mentally intune with your equipment if you are cosmetically happy with it? It has the enourmously satisfying feel that you can only get from a "better iron" no clunkyness. The ball definately had a slightly more penetrating ball flight than the competitor brands, however it was not huge, just enough to be noticeable if hit correctly, and just enough to help the better player manouvere the ball. (most good players will note that the tour player generally prefers this lower ball flight option) however havind said that in 8-SW the drop and stop was very impressive. To get a fair comparison I tried all the brands above in 3,5,7, and PW, and with a variety os hard and soft compound balls, I also hit of both grass and astro turf, and sand. I believe I researched these clubs very thoroughly. I bought the T step stiff shafted, which was a good choice for me, my driver speed (avg 96-102). There is no doubt that this club can be "played" the draw and fade" were not difficult providing a good swing and correct set up was in place. My recommendation is this is a perfect club for anyone in the the 0-12 handicap. However it is very forgiving and thus could probably be played by slightly higher handicap players. But they may not have the ability to take advantage of its playability. I would recommend that the 15 handicap or above players also try the TM OS, I also played this and whilst it was very easy to hit the TM LT2 is certainly a higher performance club that will be more beneficial to the player that has a good solid technique and trusts hi/her swing. I have played a lot of competitive golf in my time and tried "tons" of clubs. If you are wanting a club that feels great looks great, is freakishly accurate, and has good consistent length. Then of the "top end" manufacturers that I mentioned above then this club was easily the best, I know several other players who use this model know having also tried many of the other top brands, all have a similar opinion to me. GO and try it for your self or better still do what I did buy them. You wont regret it, I found it to be about half a club longer than the other brands, mainly because the the consistency of strike and ball flight, both were very pleasing. A few hits with these irons will inspire most golfers and give them a hugely increased confidence about their ability with Irons in hand. I added the 2 Iron and 60 degree wedge to the standard set. I have not hit a better iron before. Its the best Golfing purchase I have made in a long time!

Have not had any problems ever so cant really comment. These clubs are very well made, and therefore it is unlikely there will be any problems

This is my second review. My first review was written shortly after I got them - in the honeymoon period - so I erred on the side of caution and restrained myself from giving them a five star rating. Now that I have played a few rounds with these irons I thought it was only fair that I give an updated review on this club. These clubs are just great, they are long, feel great off the face, do everthing I ask of them and look great. The honeymoon period is over - they truly deserve their five star rating! Well done Taylor Made!

These clubs are long, straight, and feel like butter! What more could one ask for? I hit the x-14s and x-tours side by side with the LT2s, and the LT2s went 10-15 yards farther, went straighter, felt better, and gave me much more confidence at address. You can buy a new set on ebay for $500 or less!!! Not too bad when you consider how sweet these clubs actually are. Not only that, but they look amazing in the bag! I will not be getting rid of these babies for years to come! Great job Taylor Made, you've finally found your game! Notice how few used LT2s are sold on ebay. Its because when they buy the LT2s, they are 100 percent satisfied and, like me, do not want to get rid of them!

My LT2's arrived last week. I promptly changed the grips to something more to my liking and hit the links the following day. After spending the last month trying to play the 2005 TP irons it was refreshing to get an irons that do so many things well. The LT2 sets up so nice, it inspires confidence and when you do hit it a little off ceter you're still rewarded with a pretty fair shot. I have no trouble working the ball and the LT hype is nonsense. I hit these clubs just as high as any other I've used, slightly longer with the exception being the TP2's which are considerable shorter. After today's round of +1 through 14 holes (darkness)I'll be keeping these in the bag for a long time and that is saying something, as I've had six sets of irons in the last year. Nice going Taylormade. Two thumbs up!
