Nicely made clubs that fly high and straight. Ideal for a mid handicapper i would say. |

RAC CGB
A really nice set of irons... got my set slightly used for $200, with R flex graphite. I love them, but the R flex is a little weak, which leads to some hooks... they would be darn near perfect if they had S flex shafts, but got a deal, so...

taylor made rac OS2
I've been playing golf for 5 years now, shooting in the low 100's for about the last two. I recently made the switch from xpc irons to the os2's. I now routinely shoot in the high to mid 90's and just last night shot an 85. I'd love to say that my skill level imroved that much over a 2-3 month period, but who are we kidding. My distance is up at least 15 yards per club, and it's just really hard to hit a terrible shot anymore. I would definitely recommend these clubs. |

Taylor Made RAC CGB irons
got these in mint condition on Ebay for $209.00. I was looking for LT 2 irons but could not pass up the deal on the cgb's. I hit the ball fairly low and the cgb's are advertised as a high flighted club,so I figured "what the heck". The soles are a little thick but they hit the ball great. They are lower lofted than standard irons but they have a much higher ball flight than all my other irons, just as advertised. I'm hitting the 4 and 5 irons longer with a high flight pattern which is great for landing it soft. Wow, more distance but higher flight, what more could you want! My only drawback is that they are slightly closed at address so if you lose shots to the right, these will set up great, but I like a square set up. I have to be careful not to draw the ball too much, not yet sure if I can work a fade with them. They are a definite game improvement club for a mid and high handicapper but they hit the ball so well (long and high) that I will have to keep them for at least a season. I love them. I would recommend them highly....oh yeah, I don't care for the TM grips. don't know why TM has a standard grip that is smooth rubber with no texture to it. they need to completely ditch that line of grips. The inferior grip does not match up with their superior clubs. doesn't make sense to me! TaylorMade RAC CGB Irons Stiff Graphite
I was using the RAC LT2 in steel shaft Reg flex but suffered a lack of distance, as much as 1 to 2 clubs. The LT2 are really good looking set of irons but the lack of distance meant that I am always putting pressure on my 40 - 50 yard pitching game. Since I do not carry 3 and 4 irons, the distance gap between my 5 iron and 23Deg rescue club is 2 clubs length. However, with the RAC CGB, I've gained my distance back, and the combination of using Stiff flex & Graphite shaft help to reduce the dispersion. Heck, at my level and frequency of play, I don't even hit it sweet all the time to justify using the LT2. The distance and forgiveness of RAC CGB allows me to get pin-high most of the time. The transition from my 5 iron now to my rescue is more even. Now, if only it looks as sleek as the LT2... hmm... Folks out there, get the CGB today (the R7 Draw is kinda pricey now) and gain you confidence back to your iron game! Customer Service Not required.
