Taylor Made LCG 9.5 degree DRIVER
I went on over to Dick's to demo some drivers after I lost all hope with my Callaway HawkEye. I tried out an R7, R5, R580XD, R580, R540, and Cleveland Launcher. I don't know if its just my swing or the mindset that the club puts me in, but I always seem to hit drivers better that have smaller heads (and tend to be made of steel). This driver was my final choice, as I felt that the feel it provides me and my swing adds confidence in my ability to strike the ball solidly and hit it straight. If you are like me and are tired of drivers with enormous heads ruining your long game, give this driver a shot. For the 79.99 I paid, nothing comes close, not even the 500 dollar R7. I was so thrilled to be getting my first real set of irons. My last irons were lynx liberty blades, they're kind of old. These irons are rewarding when struck square, but my old lynx blades felt better, and were more forgiving than these. These irons tend to rattle my hands when not struck on the sweet spot. Customer Service none. Similar Products Used: acer, lynx |

I have had my lcg's for 3 years now & I love them. I was going to move on this year. I have become so custom to my clubs. I have used & played others but it's just not the same. Most people think it's the club!It is but for the most part it's the golfer. The lcg's are true to you for distance & accuracy as long as you are not a brute trying to hit the pw 160 or the 5 iron 270. Over all if you can find these clubs buy them. I have the S90 graphite shafts. Similar Products Used: Wilson Precision Tommy 845's |

These clubs made it very easy to hit a golf ball when you first start, but i caught the golf bug and kept practicing; i have gotten a lot better and my opinion on these clubs has changed. When i try to work the ball (draw in particular) the ball just goes straight. Fading the ball is easy, and the pretty big sweetspot gives you a good chance to hit most balls straight (unless you miss badly). I think i will be switching to the Mizuno MP-33s pretty soon (if anyone uses these clubs, please give me some feedback) just for the sake of workability, because i dont think that is one of the strongpoints of the LCG. It is long and forgiving and has a high trajectory. |

Burner LCGs S-90 Rifle
I've been playing these clubs for the last 3 years, and I must say that I am very happy with them. Easy to hit, accurate, decent feel and workability, and long hitting. Miss hits will not rattle your teeth. While these clubs don't have the workability of blades, a good player can still craft some shots. Also, these clubs are designed to get the ball up in the air, so hitting low-trjectory shots and prove challenging. I'm a 10 handicap, and I think these are great clubs for mid-high handicappers. More skilled and experienced golfers would probably want to play a forged blade to increase workability and feel. The LCG''s with a 5.5 rifle flighted or 5.0 flighted would be great. I bought with S90 and that is way to stiff for me. I did see 1 guy really nail S90 though - huge distances. Overall, with the right shaft and lie angle, they are good. The newer TM 320''s are a huge step up in performance. Again, with the correct shaft and not what one thinks is the correct shaft for one''s swing. I''ve seen too many guys playing S300 - S90 who I blow by in distance. Rifle Flighted 5.0, 5.5 is enough for 95% of golfers. It''s nice to hit 7 irons 165-170 like the pros do because I can handle the shaft. S300 and I get 155 or so. Customer Service Really great Similar Products Used: TM320(truly amazing), Ping i3 Blades(beware hard to hit!) |
