TaylorMade 320 Irons

TaylorMade 320 Irons

DESCRIPTION

From TaylorMade: "The 320 Iron comes with a moderate topline and slight offset - carrying a traditional, yet confident look at address. Each club is optimized for its intended shot: the long irons have a lower center of gravity and negative bounce to help create lift, while the short irons have a higher center of gravity and positive bounce to reduce drag and prevent shots from floating or ballooning."

Bought these clubs blind from a friend. I can't compare to other clubs since I have not tried any, but after 3 rounds and at the range, these clubs feel great. They are 10-20 yds longer than my previous clubs (Cobra knock offs), the long irons are sweet to hit and like the heavy weight of the head. Unfortunately, I still suck. My score is still the same, but not because of the shots made from these irons - poor driving and putting. But I guess I can't complain since for $300 this was a steal.

These are some sweeeeeeet clubs!! It took about 4 full rounds to get used to the weight and feel of the clubs, but they have been an excellent purchase, and, in my opinion, an excellent value. The clubs reward a good swing w/ very consistant distance, and accuracy. The 7,8, and 9 irons give you the confidance to go for the pin. Miss hits will still go fairly straight, and the loss of yardage is not appreciable. I'm not good enough to shape my shots, but these clubs allow me to hit the ball very straight. I tried the callaway x-14 and the ping is3-o. I found that the 320's were easier to hit than the pings and had a crisper feel than the x-14's. I also felt that the 320's looked better than the other 2 sets, which is important since i'm going to be looking at them for at least the next 5 years. Cost wasn't a factor, because they cost exactly the same amount as the pings and the x-14's. I highly reccomend these clubs to the golfer who is ready to step up to a mid-premium set of irons.

Truly truly the best irons I have ever played. Supremely forgiving, excellent feel, distance is good... Just an awesome club! I have never been a Taylor Made player, and tried them out for the heck of it, and I am convinced! Have lowered my handicap from 7 to 5 since playing. No joke, this is a great club, I urge everyone to try them out! If they had a 10 as a rating, I would easily give it.

These clubs are pretty much amazing. Awesome distance. The feel cartridge in the clubhead really dampens the vibration. Pure shots just explode off the clubface. The clubhead is not too light and not too heavy. I love how the club looks when it's set up cause it sets up like a blade but is very forgiving. I also like the titleist 762 but they cost way too much and is not as forgiving. The callaway x-14s are more for intermediate to beginners in my opinion. I also hate the fact that the x-14s are delofted to make players think they're hitting the ball farther. Callaway has a way of trying to increase consumer confidence by making them "think" they're hitting the ball further than actual. I would highly recommend these clubs to anyone who is serious about golf.

I didn't play at all last year and this year I decided to change that and to begin with I wanted a new set of clubs. I spent about a week trying all different brands in the simulator and the 320's were the set that felt best. Well that is an understatement! I can now hit the 200 yard green at the driving range consistently with the 5 iron, The 3 and 4 irons are like "butter" they are so smooth I can even draw them now!. Never had so much fun with the long irons and the short irons are even better! My scores are definately going to drop with these....wish I had broken down years ago and bought them. A little pricey but the feel is worth it.

My golf game is at a new level.. i bought the 320''s three weeks ago.. i''m still trying to get use to the length gains, but i think i can adjust.. about 6 to 10 yards longer for me.. it was between the titleist 762''s and TM 320''s.. the deciding factor was the long irons.. i cant remember the last time i when to the range and hit the 4 iron so much.. i would recommend these irons to anyone.. Oh ya i''ve played four rounds and tied my lowest score 81.

I''ve bought these new irons some weeks ago and I''m enthusiastic. They look very nice, sound very well at impact and deliver the ball exactly where you want. I''ve been adviced to choose the graphite shaft and this adapts very well to my game. They are easy for a mid hcp, forgiving, but still you can shape your shots. They are long! I got 1 iron in distance if compared with my old Apex. After few holes I''m expecting to decrease my hcp quite soon.

This type of excercise can be tricky as some clubs are not suitable for certain types of players. Nonetheless these were not the right set for me. I found them very heavy at the bottom and will be best suited to those who like heavy clubs. Those with a quick tempo will be better suited, in my opinion to something like the X-14''s or the Cleveland TA5''s (which I now own a set of) at swingweights of around the D0-D1 range (the 320''s are around D2.5). The Flighted Rifle shaft is light in the hands but seems to play quite stiff. I wouldn''t recommend this combination for slower swing speed players or those requiring real game improvement clubs. The clubs however look quite traditional and have a nice smooth feel off the face. They also came in quite expensive in relation to most of their peers in $AUS.
