Snake Eyes Quick Strike Irons

Snake Eyes Quick Strike Irons

DESCRIPTION

The Snake Eyes Quick Strike utility heads combine the construction methods of both wood and iron heads to produce a utility club that has the accuracy of an iron and the distance of a wood. A number of PGA Tour Pros are switching to small utility woods or driving irons as an alternative to long irons/fairway woods because of the versatility these type of clubs offer as well as their ease of use. Hollow construction gives the Quick Strike perimeter weighting like a wood for forgiveness and face bulge allows for the gear effect to bring shots back on line when struck off-center. The face area size is closer to that of an iron allowing the Quick Strike to travel through tall grass more easily and offer improved play from fairway bunkers.

These are great clubs and give me distances and consistency I can't get with my standard woods or long irons. Can't speak for low HC's, but from somebody that shoots over 100, these are great clubs. I use them anywhere from the rough to the fairway. When I search my memory, all of my best shots came with these guys.

I started with the 22 degree, then got the 26. For me, I found I did not lose much distance between the two, but obviously got a higher trajectory. I would suggest trying the various lofts to see which works best for you.

If I could give this more than 5 stars I would.Always struggled with fairway woods, but could hit a 1 iron well--usually. These clubs are the best of both worlds. Easy to hit, can work the ball both ways with ease, accurate, and long. I never thought I would get rid of my long irons in favor of fairway woods, but now I couldn't ever go back. Having these (18 & 22) in my bag has dropped my idex quickly from 10 to 8 and going down. Rifle steel was a perfect fit for me. Hated the Rescue at almost twice the cost.

The best of the hybrids, at a fraction of the cost of the others. If you build one, use steel, not graphite. Can do anything well. Forgiving. Long. Good from any lie except deep rough. Great for long par-3s...more accurate than woods, easier to hit than long irons.
Recommend to everyone....the 18 and 22 have replaced the 5-wood, 3-iron and 4-iron in my bag, allowing me to add an extra wedge. First-rate quality...feels much better than TM Rescue, performs better than Adams iWood. And you can get one assembled for $75 with a steel shaft.
