Snake Eyes Quick Strike Irons

Snake Eyes Quick Strike Irons

DESCRIPTION

The Snake Eyes Quick Strike utility heads combine the construction methods of both wood and iron heads to produce a utility club that has the accuracy of an iron and the distance of a wood. A number of PGA Tour Pros are switching to small utility woods or driving irons as an alternative to long irons/fairway woods because of the versatility these type of clubs offer as well as their ease of use. Hollow construction gives the Quick Strike perimeter weighting like a wood for forgiveness and face bulge allows for the gear effect to bring shots back on line when struck off-center. The face area size is closer to that of an iron allowing the Quick Strike to travel through tall grass more easily and offer improved play from fairway bunkers.

Model Reviewed: SNAKE EYES QUICK STRIKE 14* HYBRID

I play with the new Nike Covert Driver, no fairway woods or hybrids until I tried a friends SNAKE EYES QUICK STRIKE 14* HYBRID and hit it 220-230 yards with a nice tempo swing. Did a lot of looking on the internet and finally found one on ebay that was new so I purchaser it. I had been looking for months for a hybrid but could not hit the big companies club consistently or with much accuracy and been into multiple hitting cages and several demo days at courses to test them. This is the best I have found and it is the only other club in my bag that is not an iron. I am 60 years old and a 9 handicap, so if you can find one and that is difficult because Golfsmith no longer manufactures these you should try it and see if it doesn't improve your game.

Model Reviewed: Quick Strike 18* with RP Rifle Steel shaft

I had just gotten off the golf course aggravated about how much 3 iron is only going about 205 when I walked into golfsmith and found a used 18* Quick Strike for $40. I hit it about 215 off the fairway and 220 off the tee. It almost feels like cheating you're hitting it so far, so easily, so accurately, so high and with so much stop.

If you're even halfway considering going to a hybrid, the quick strike is the way to go. I haven't tried the newer model quick strikes, but I have tried all of the big name hybrids and I like this much better, and it's half the price or less. Can't say enough about this stick.

I HAVE 14 DEGREE THRU 34 DEGREE MODELS. THESE ARE THE ORIGINAL VERSION OF THESE, NO OFFSET, HOT TRAJECTORY, AND VERY STABLE WITH RIFLE STEEL SHAFTS. I THINK THEY PLAY AS LONG AS CORRESPONDING FAIRWAY WOODS WITH THE HOTTER IRON LIKE TRAJECTORY. SPIN AND BITE IS STILL VERY GOOD. I STOP BALLS WITHIN A COUPLE FEET ON GREENS QUITE OFTEN. IF YOU CAN FIND THESE YOU'LL LOVE THEM--AND THEY ARE A BARGAIN.

Model Reviewed: 18, 22 degrees.

Bought the 22 degree to replace my 3 iron. It took me a couple rounds to figure this club out. I'd never hit a hybrid before, and I had a tendency to hook this club pretty bad. After some tinkering I figured out that I had to use a much weaker grip. Once I figured the grip out, I was hitting it straight and long with a real nice trajectory. I just purchased an 18 degree to replace my 5 wood and am getting the same results. I don't find these clubs great off the tee, so I'll need to keep the 3-wood in my bag. I may purchase a 26 degree to replace the 4-iron though. Can't beat the price either. I bought both for $35 used.

Customer Service

I bought these clubs at Golfsmith. Their customer service is great.

these are awesome. as easy to hit if not easier than the taylormades. better trajectory and about 1/2 the cost. plus you arent stuck with the very mediocre taylormade precision lite shafts if you like steel. these are a bit longer than the taylor's also. easier to customize

Bought this clubhead on a whim.IT has a face made of a new titanium that is lighter and harder than other titanium drivers .I assembled it on the graffaloy blue light(57 grams)and added 4 grams of weight in the hosel to put more weight toward the heel.I got a driver that truthfully added 10 yds of distance over my titleist 983k I was stunned that I got that much improvement.I'm completely satisfied with the performance of this driver. It competes with the high priced oem,s and cost about a third of the price.

Customer Service

This is a great replacement for the 2 iron/5 wood. It can be worked both left and right with ease, but the best part about this club is the dead-straight high flying trajectories you get with it. The club is a bit heavier then standard, but I like this, I think it helps to keep the club going toward the target better. Assemble one yourself and save-I think it is worth every penny and more.

Customer Service

Good and reliable

Club hits solidly and allows some shot shaping that I found difficult with a fairway metal. I was able to sharply hook around a tree and down the fairway from the rough. This club also gets the ball airborne more quickly than my fairway metal or long iron, allowing higher, softer shots. I agree totally with other reviewers that a low-torque, more stiff shaft is required in this club. I built the club with a True Temper Dynamic Gold R300, then re-built with a stiffer S300. If purchasing, go one-up (at least) on stiffness, even if you have a slower swing speed.

Customer Service

Just fine, as always at the Gwinnett (Atlanta) Golfsmith.
