I have had these clubs for about 6 years and I still am afraid of buying new ones. This set is so forgiving that I see the ball mark on my club outside the groves and it still goes strait. Only thing is that the distance is not that great but I'll trade a ball short of the green rather than a ball in the bushes.

I had to make note of the lousy review "in the 70's" wrote, what a total butt-head that guy must be!! Sure the Zings were WAY ahead of their time, but there are plenty of oversized sticks out there that are at least as clunky looking, AND don't perform worth squat... just take the Big Berthas or the X-16's to start.... the Zings are extremely well balanced, and are among the straightest, easiest to hit irons ever made. If Ping had a semi-loser at all, it was the ISI. To judge an iron by it's cosmetics is foolish, and many did. And as time goes by, the Zings get better and better looking.... I have tried SO many irons, these are in the top 5% easy. If you need to have a set of irons that look good, go buy a set of classic Wilson blades, and God help you! If you are looking for ease of use, consistent distance, GREAT value and laser-like accuracy, give the Zings a go.

Ping is the best.

These are my first irons that are not from a dept. store! It sereiously took me a whole season to get used to the weight and distance that these clubs produce. This is my second season with them and have shot in the low 80's twice now. I have to keep telling myself to let the club do the work and not over hit because my last clubs I had to swing fairly hard to have them go anywhere. I LOVE THESE CLUBS! I also put on a soft Winn grip and that made a huge difference as well. Miss hits are few and far between. If you can buy them, do it. One area of that will take getting used to is the shape. It looks like the club is wide open, but that is just the crazy top line of the club. Close it up and swing nice and easy............."Let the club do the work" Enjoy.

Customer Service

Haven't used, but should be fantastic.

Distance: Compared to my old irons set, I am hitting the ball 5-10 yards farther despite my limited backswing due to my stocky, inflexible frame. I attribute the greater distance due to 1) higher ball flight and 2) I hit the gym and am physically stronger. I have no flexibility to begin with so my power-lifting won’t hurt my flexibility, if anything my working out just gives me more muscle endurance and more explosive muscles – but I’m going off topic. Accuracy: These irons are SUPER accurate. Miss-hits on the EXTREME toe and heel are punished by a 10-15 yard penalty to the total shot distance and usually stray 5-10° offline. The distance control is pretty consistent from iron to iron. Pros of the Ping Zing: The Ping Zing is deadly accuracy and very consistent as far as distance control is concerned. I find that if I miss a target mostly because I am not aligned well. Well grooved swings can rest assure that you will be fine with these irons. Cons of the Ping Zing: There are two debatable drawbacks two the Ping Zing. The first drawback of the Ping Zing is the appearance at address of the club. Honestly if they were a woman, you’d put a paper bag on her head, but still keep her because she performs like a champ (if you know what I mean). So if you can get over the way it looks at address you’ll be OK. A victim of its own success, the second drawback of the Ping Zing is that it almost hits too straight. Working the ball is challenging, but not impossible. Overall: In my non-expert opinion, I feel the Ping Zing irons are a great game-improvement iron. The Ping Zing is yet another king in the Ping iron dynasty. I bought my through Ebay which I feel is the best way to get them. Lots of golf stores carry older models like the Ping Zing or even the Ping Eye 2 and sell them much higher than some new clubs. I feel that you cannot go wrong with Ping irons. My advice to you if you are looking for irons: 1. Go to the official Ping Golf website, do the Webfit questionnaire and get your colored dot. 2. Then go to Ebay, pick your Ping iron with your colored dot. 3. Outbid everyone else, pay the person, wait about a week, then get your clubs. 4. Unwrap your clubs and immediately go to the range. 5. No you have your own fitted clubs, so play your best.

These clubs hit the ball perfectly straight and hi. They are deadly accurate from 150 yards out. This is the best club I've ever hit and I've hit all the popular lines. You can't go wrong with these clubs.

All in all, these are fine irons, if one can take the distinctive topline and weight bulge towards the toe. When you hit them sweet, the feel is very soft-solid, and distance is reasonable, but they are a little shorter compared to the Armour Ti 100's that I replaced with these. Mis-hits are easily felt, but they still go straight, even though you lose a fair bit of distance. I've had a little trouble htting these since I got them this fall, but hopefully next season and a more solid swing will make these clubs more enjoyable to hit. I also enjoy he fact that the sole will still allow you to take a divot without chunking the ball, another major falult of the Ti 100's. If you can accept the appearance, these feel almost as good as the ISI's in BeNi.

Customer Service

Haven't had to use it, but from all the options on the website, it looks like they can address any problem you have. Also love the Web-Fit system.

Model Reviewed: Ping I3 OS

As an equipment junkie, I have tried all different sets of irons and I keep coming back to the Ping I3 OS. These irons are fantastic. I play blue dot in stiff flex and these clubs live up to their reputation. I have a full set from SW to 1 iron in left handed and there is no way I will part with these sticks. With stiff flex, the trajectory is perfect for maximum distance. The only thing I run into at times is if I try to juice a club to get that extra 10 yards of carry, the ball definately spins back. I can tell when it's going to happen as the trajectory gets much higher due to the spin. I am getting used to pulling the ball back to the hole, but if the pin is in the back, it pays to go up 1 club and hit it easy. The irons are straight as an arrow and can be worked either way, though I have a natural draw, and a fade takes work for me. The clubs are forgiving on mis-hits, and the distance loss is slight - but hey - that's why it's called a mis-hit. Overall superior to any other club I have tried.

Never used it - never needed it.

I had the beginner set from K-mart and moved up to the New Taylor Made Firesoles. I hit them well, but one day while playing in a scramble I borrowed a wedge which happened to be a Zing 2 model and hit the smoothest wedge ever!I found a set on Ebay and purchased them.I kept both sets before I decied that the old set of Pings were the best of the 2.I sold the Taylor Mades and have never regretted it.The graphite shaft has helped me to slow my swing down and play under control, they continue to make me play better.I'm ready to get into the 80's and maybe the game will get even better!I have even bought the Ping Zing 2 Putter and love it also.

I boguht these irons used after going down the weekend before and hitting them. But when i went back down i decided to buy them. I took them home, gave them a good scrubbing and had them out the next afternoon didnt hit as many great shots with them especially having only hit the 5 iron previously. Had them regripped to Winn Excel Midsized and took them to the range tonight and wow i was pleased. I was hitting longer then my previous graphite shafted irons and a lot more consistent. i was even able to hit the 3 iron and we know thats amazing. The feel you get when you make contact with these irons is comparable to nothing, a very solid swoosh. I am very pleased with my purchase and suggest these irons to any mid to high handicappers looking for a wonderful game improvement club. The looks may be odd but they will satisfy you completely. Along with my Cobra SS427 driver and my Ping B90 Long Putter this is an awesome combination.
