I own a set of i3 blades and the S59's, and I always go back to the S59's. I havent played the i3's for awhile because the S59's feel better and are just as easy to hit, plus they are alittle longer. I put the s300 shaft on them. Can't say enough about the club! |

Ping s59 irons
What is going on ? I bought these irons to hit only on the range as a way to improve my swing.Thinking I would be hitting a lot of thin shots, slices & fat shots I was absolutely stunned how great they played.I shoot in the nineties and am usualy super inconsistant. The completely wrong golfers for these type of blades right? WRONG.The thin top line exudes confidence they are lighter and the blade club head just makes me feel like I am going to smash the ball.I have used them 3 times on course and love these clubs. The long irons are the big difference I hit the 3 iron 220 no slice just a clean hit nearly every time. Now with my G2s with the thick sole I cannot do that even once. This sounds crazy but for me these blades are more forgiving and the long irons much easier to hit. I am still pulling a few left but not as many as I was.Get rid of the super fat super offset clubs and give these babies a whirl.Man I am loving the clean hits I get with these clubs.I sold my G2s and these were in the bag after 1 practice session. My bad shots are still quite good and better than my game improvement clubs. Go the blades !! Similar Products Used: Ping ISI,Ping G2s |

Well after a very long search and some poor golf I have found a very good iron for my game. Love the looks, feel and playability. Much more forgiving than they appear to be. I have played five rounds with these irons and all have been under par! I had been switching a lot early this year and could not find anything in the easier to hit irons that I could stomach and get good feel from.

I have finally found an iron that is perfect for my game. I'm not quite good enough for a forged muscle back. I've shot low 70's with such a club but I had those 4-5 shots where it hurts me too much to justify keeping them in the bag.

Ping S59 Z-Z65
Tried a S58 demo club and liked it. Bought a set of S59's off Ebay; 3-PW, Z-Z65 for £101 ($150) in great condition. Took them straight to my club without trying them and shot a 76 (4 over and I play off 9). Only used 5-PW but found them easier to hit than I expected. I am not a great iron player at all. Usually suffer from ballooning and not a good player in the wind, the trajectory off these clubs is fantastic for me and they are longer than my G10's; this must be the Z-Z65 shafts. Played a few times with them and shot a 79 as well. They are set at Blue dot and I normally play a red dot so these are 3 degrees too upright so I aim right for a draw/hook. They should be better whem I get them set up. Not too harsh on the hands, sometimes go a lot further than I expect (i.e. 6 iron normally 160, hit one 180 over the green) but overall a great club, you get a nice ball to turf contact with them. Not a true blade and players up to 15 should hit them well. My playing partners would say I am a poor ball striker but as you can guess I love these clubs and have played under and around my handicap. Build quality is very good and they should last for years. Z-Z65 hits a lot lower flight than the CS-Lite or AST shafts, would suit those who want a more penetrating flight, like links players or those like me who hit a high ball. Overall a great set of irons. Customer Service Absolutely first class. Sent my Tour wedges in for adjustment, they cracked one so I got a brand new club back. Ping S59 - zz65 Stiff Shaft
I have never really been a big fan of Ping clubs untill I tried the Ping S59's a friend had. I could not believe how nice they looked at address, with a thin top line (Nearly as thin as my Taylormade RAC TP MB) When you strike the ball with them the feeling is excellent. My 1st set of clubs were Cobra SS Forged, so the S59's Forged gives the same sort of feel. I bought mine 2nd hand from a guy near Mill Hill Golf Club in London. I left his house and went stragith to the Mill Hill course and played 11 holes, and had 4 Birdies. I had forgotten how it felt to hit the green in regulation to give yourself a birdie chance. I have tried tons of clubs and for me these beat the lot. Nice weight and great feeling of the face. Hunt them out and see what I mean ;-) Customer Service Unknown as bought 2nd hand in London, UK Similar Products Used: I have been playing with Taylormade RAC TP MB (Muscle Back Blades) but for some reason I have lost all confidence with them .... |

Bought these on ebay for $320.00, bargain! Found them to be forgiving and so easy to control ball flight and distance. The lighter weight of the zz65 shafts is perfect for generating clubhead speed whilst maintaing control. Highly reccomend for the stronger player. wow been playing these for a year tried to switch back to taylormade tungstun titanium bubble irons and old Ping model and there is absolutely no comparison. Easily one of the best irons to look at during address and the feel is incredible. Great feedback. I will not be hitting anything else for quite sometime. Customer Service Ping is always great Similar Products Used: Taylormade TI bubble 2, Ping Eye 2, Wilson Staff blades (early models), Cobra, and Callaway. |
