Ping S58 Irons
I recently bought a set of these irons and I must say they are the best iron I have ever used. My previous set of Ping Zing 2 irons were 12 years old, so I decided to try a set of G5 irons. The G5s felt horrible to me. I gave them three or four rounds with no improvement in feel or distance control, so I traded them in for a set of S58 irons. They are beautiful to look at and the small head demands that you concentrate at address. This simple fact has improved my iron play tremendously. The S58s have a solid feel even when you hit it on the toe. The ball flies straight for me even when I mis-hit it slightly with a slight loss of distance. These clubs are half a club longer than my Zing 2s. While it is true that these are players irons if you can shoot in the 80s, you can play with these clubs. I was a little wary of getting away from game improvement, but after using these S58s, I am never going back. Customer Service Ping service has always been exceptional. I ordered a 2 iron to match my set with no problems. It arrived in less than a week. Similar Products Used: Ping Zing 2

My last 2 sets of irons had been Pings and I was looking to replace the I3's that I'd had for a number of years. Tried the S59 and was very disappointed with them. They were the hardest feeling golf club I'd ever hit and was going to go with the I5. However when I got to the factory I saw these and when I started hitting them I had to have them. Much softer feel than the S59 and pretty similar to the I3's. Lovely penetrating trajectory throughout the set, especially with the long irons. Pretty easy to hit and align and are a beautiful set of irons to look at. I think they are the best clubs Ping have made so far. Customer Service What can you say? Its Ping. s58 irons are excellent, easier to control and forgiving. The Rapture woods produces a good flight, thus carry. Customer Service Edwin Watts in Orlando were fast to order them customized. Similar Products Used: Taylor made RAC, Nike blades |

I've been playing the S59's for a couple months now. I got them off Ebay for a song. So far, so good. I like the looks of them quite a bit. They set up very square and produce a medium ball flight, for me anyways. Compared to forged blades, the Pings feel a little sterile, but I like the fact these irons are durable and made to last. These irons do everything player's irons should do. No more, no less. I'm saving up some cash to buy a new set of S59's directly from Ping. Very pleased. Customer Service They fixed a wedge for me back in the day. Service was prompt and curteous. Similar Products Used: Titleist 690MB, Mizuno MP-32, Mizuno TP-9 |

Ping S58 with tour concept stiff shafts
The s58 irons are a big improvement over the s59's and I loved those. Very solid feel, pin point accuracy, easy to work and are somewhat forgiving. I will say they are for the lower handicapper. Give those a try and be sure to get fitted. Customer Service The best out there. Fast responce and service Similar Products Used: About every thing |

Let me say initially that I am a very big Ping fan (woods, irons, wedges, putter, bag, etc). For a variety of reasons I have decided to support this company. This logic drove me to buy a set of I3 Blades from Ebay to replace my G5 set of irons. I simply wanted more of a "players" club. I love my Blades.
Customer Service Outstanding. I am always amazed at how quickly they ship product and get it right the first time. Similar Products Used: None recently. Over the years I have played Titlest and Callaway. |

After playing Ping S59s for almost a year. I started looking for a set of irons to replace them. I tried most every "player" iron on the market. Not finding anything that was even as good as the S59s. Finally I heard about the new Ping S58s. When they were finally available I didn't waste any time. After the first shot with these I felt like I was right back home again. The feel is even better than the S59 with the same great look and good distance. They short irons are spot on. Distance control is unmatched. The long irons are very forgiving for this type of iron. Long irons launch higher than the Mizuno 32s and 37s. Great acceleration of all the irons. Ping has and probably always will make a great iron. The S58 is different. It is the best "player" iron on the market. Customer Service Top notch. Hit a small tree on a follow through while playing my S59 irons. Contacted Ping and they swapped the shaft. They even filled the scoring line at the bottom with new paint and returned the club 2-day shipping. All free of charge. That is what I call service.
