After much deliberation I purchased a set of Rapture irons with graphite shafts. Was away from the game for seven years and just came back in time for my 60th birthday. First bought a set of Taylor R7's and looked more like a hockey player than a golfer. Bought the raptures and everything seems to be working nicely again. Hitting my 5 iron about 180 in cool weather without going after it very hard.. Easy to hit with great ball flight and difficult to miss even on off center hits. Wanna play better...get em! A little expensive but im hitting greens again!

I have always played Ping and have been very happy. These new Raptures are no exception. Every hit feels soild. The rare miss hit still carries a lot of distance. I ordered with the z-65 shafts and the ball flight is higher than my ISIk's with a slight draw. Worth the investment

Customer Service

Katie, The service rep at Ping did a great job. She worked with me to make sure my clubs arrived before I left to play in NC. ( no small task since order time is about 6-7 weeks)Only complant is that I was told that the cusion could not be installed in these shafts, and later found out that wasn't true.

Nice clubs. Very forgiving. If you hit ball at club´s sweet point, the ball will be about 5- 7 yards longer vs. Ping G5 irons and higher flight. Tested vs. Callaway Big Bertha and Cleveland C4, Rapture´s iron are straighter. Due Ping´s clubfitting service, I forget testing vs. Callaway Fusion and Taylormade CGB. After 8 Rounds, I still believe I did a good decision choosing these clubs.

Customer Service

As been one of the first guys to buy this clubs, it took about 7 weeks to get them.

I agree with SHIGER, BUT, you get what you pay for. TITANIUM is NOT cheap. These clubs are ahead of their time. Ever hear of HONMA? Now that is overpriced!

Model Reviewed: PING RAPTURE IRONS, white dot

I have been golfing for over 15 years now and I just turned 30..........the "Best Years of a Golfer!". I sold my old Ping Zing irons and splurged on an over priced RAPTURE set even before any reviews came out. I figured, if I am going to splurge, I might as well get the latest and best irons available, and Ping has reputation like none other. I have played about 5 rounds with them now and so I feel confident in my review.
*THINGS THAT ARE BETTER THAN MY OLD PING ZINGS.................#1 The Raptures DON'T DIG on fat shots. Yes, if you are not a single digit handi cap, you will fat the odd shot in a round. These clubs will help you in that category QUITE significantly.
#2. They feel like Gold on most every shot. Even on thin shots, they don't vibrate like my old Zings.
#3. Believe the HYPE, new technology is better than that of 15 years ago. These clubs help me hit the ball A LOT straighter..........How? I don't have a freakin clue!
#4. This should not matter, but MAN do they look sweet in the bag! That dragon fly green PING logo is amazing.
#5. I got the WHITE dot, and ping does an amazing job with their fittings.
#6. Unlike the MX-25's that I was considering, they don't ding up that badly. The sales man showed me how "soft" the Mizuno's were and how beat they would be within a few rounds. Ugly clubs = low resale.
#7. They are weighted Very Well! For me, I am 6'3 195, and I love to know where the club head is at all times. With some of the lighter clubs, you don't have a clue. For me, the weighting is perfect.
#8 The set up at address is incredible. It inspires confidence when you look down. I also love the white line on the bottom groove. Such a small thing, but it helps set you up square to the target.

THE ONLY BAD THING is the price. In Canada, it is around 1500.00 after all the taxes etc. That is WAY too much, especially when the G2's on ebay are a 1/4 of the price. If you have the extra money, they are COMPLETELY worth it, but if you are on a budget, find a set of G2's........they incredible for the money.

ENJOY! I hope this helped someone!
SHALOM,

Customer Service

I busted a G2 7 wood out of frustration (ah come on, you all have done it at least once) and they replaced the shaft, no questions asked. A+ in this dept.!
