I like the PING irons because you can get them in any lie angle you want and this is important (I'm tall and play the green dots). I tried the ISIs initially with the ZZ-65 shafts and was disappointed. Changing out to the JZ stiff flex made a big difference and now I love these clubs. I've tried lots of different irons from other manufacturers and I keep coming back to the PINGs. The ISIs are very forgiving, more so than the earlier Eye 2s (another great iron)and I play well even when my swing is not working.

Customer Service

They are good to work with and I have never had any problems with them.

Model Reviewed: Ping ISI-Nickel w/Graphite

I recently puchased a green dot 3-PW+SW2+LW set of Ping ISI-Nickel graphite shaft irons from an individual off eBay for a STEAL of a deal. The irons were NEW and have played beyond my expectations. The combination of CONSISTENT control, forgiveness, AND power have helped me discover the fun side of golf. Granted, I still duff a shot or two every few holes, but practice and lessons will hopefully fix that problem. I look forward to adding the Ping TiSI driver (which should arrive tomorrow) and hitting a few 300+ yard bombs every round. In the new year I expect to improve my game and add the Ti3 3-wood when it is released. Thanks Ping...you've helped me enjoy golf again!

Purchased a used set of these in August and played them approximately a dozen times. They are nice looking at address and have a thinner top line than the X-12 I used to play. Over all a pretty nice club. However, I was disappointed with the z-z65 shaft. Definately a step down from the Dynamic Gold 300 I was used to playing. Am switching to the new Ping i3 with Dynamic Gold shafts.

The ISI offer a remarkable soft feel even on mis hits as well as workablility. The slim topline is great for the short irons. I used to hit callaways and the thick topline for the short irons would bother me. I highly recommend the ISIs.

These are the best clubs I have played with!! I don't know if it is because they are fitted properly but when I got them I thought I would drop 5 or so shots until I got used to them but I didn't. Instead I was picking up shots and averaging 2 or 3 shots better.

I have never hit clubs (5-9,w) more consistantly straight. The clubs also have a great feel to them. Even when I miss hit, the ball still seems to have a great arc and still seems to find the target dead-on. Having a tougher time with the 3 and 4 irons.

I am very impressed w/ the the ISI-S irons. I picked up a used set, 2-PW (black dot)first to try them out. The ISI-S IMHO hits the longest and most accurate from any other Pings. Also around the green, I can chip & run w/ the best of them. I don''t really like the look of the I3, seems like a revamp version of the Eye2. I have been struggling w/ the driver, so I have been teeing off w/ the 1 and/or 2 iron. Who needs a drive when I can get 240-250 yrds w/ long irons. Many people hate long irons, but I stay on the fairway, while my buds are hunting in the rough. What I like about the ISI-S, it has extra toe weighting. If I don''t catch the ball flush, I tend to be by the toe. I don''t lose too much distance & it is just a slight fade. Also the JZ (Cushin) shaft makes a big difference. The insert really helps lessen the vibrations. I also like the heavier weight of the clubs. I was so impressed w/ the ISI-S, that I returned the used set I had, & went on to buy a new set. Got custom fitted for 1-PW ISI-S, and SW & LW in Eye2. All red dot, std length w/ Ping tour wrap grips. The Eye2 wedges are heavy enough to feel the clubhead on the downswing. I can''t wait to get the new set, I have another week till I get them. Custom fitted for these irons is most needed. The used set w/ black dots were good, but now I believe I can hit 90% of my shots flushed. I should be back to old form & start shooting in the 80''s.
