I have always played blades and more recently Mizuno MP60 and Titleist 755 irons, picked these up because they were cheap, reshafted them to the Rifle shafts at 5.5 and just love them. They are workable and the shot dispersion is much better than the MP60s with Rifle shafts or the Titleists. They are just as long as either of the others even though they are much lighter, great feel great clubs.

Simply the finest iron ever produced, and I've played a lot of irons in 30 years. Always wanted them when they came out but could not justify the expense. Very consistent feel throughout the set. Can be worked easily with slight ball adjustments. Distance is outstanding with no loss of feel and playability. I'm an old guy and I can hit the 8 iron 150 yds, draw, fade, low punch or sky high fade. The 4 iron is a rocket launcher, 200-210 yds off the turf, 220 yds off the tee. Hogan Apex irons were my weapons of choice when I was younger. I never found an iron with the same soft feel, distance and workability until these. Getting them re-shafted this winter with TT Black Gold, can't wait to hit them. These clubs can still bring a high price on eBay, but watch close and you can get a full set for $300 - $325. Can't say enough about these irons, grab a set, you will not be disappointed.

Customer Service

Outstanding customer service. Ping continues to set the standard in the golf industry.

Let me tell you there is not another better feeling iron in the game then the copper ping irons. picked them up on ebay for about 450.00 and worth everyu penny sent them to ping had them reshafted with rifle shafts from the wrx dept. i can flight the ball low and high with ease. the feel is better then any forging out there. I wish they would still continue to make copper irons they are the best.

Got these fantastic irons recently, and almost instantly got far lower scores, greater accuracy and better "mis-hits"
the copper heads give a softer feel to your strikes and a greater distance than my previous stainless steel irons.

recomended to the mid to high handicapped.much cheaper these days but hard to find.

Played these when they first came out but could not afford a set. Now picked up an excellent set on ebay for £175. They are superb - deadly accurate and just that touch of forgiveness in the long irons. These have replaced my MP-30 irons and feel just as soft. May have to get another set as backup - they are that good !!!!!

Model Reviewed: ISI-S, red-dot

Uh... wow. I've tested many sets of irons over the past few seasons. Callaway x-14 Pros, x-18 Pros, Titleist 704.cb's, KZG blades, Callaway Fusions, Ping G2's, Ping i3+'s, etc, just to name a few... but nothing has performed as well for me as what may widely be considered a dated model. I played the BeCu ISI's a few seasons ago and liked them very much but the stock JZ-stiff shafts weren't a great fit. I just didn't like the feel. But I was lucky enough to find a set of the ISI-S's exactly to my specs (red-dot, standard length) AND with my favorite shafts (Tour Flighted Rifle, 6.0). Forgiving, solid, versatile. I think I remember reading that the ISI was Kasten Solheim's favorite iron design. Mine too. These irons, the combination of head and shaft, are a perfect fit for me and are head and shoulders above the performance of the many newer irons that I've tested recently. Forgiving, yet very playable from a variety of lies and able to handle all of the necessary shots. Really, a design that will forever stand the test of time, in my opinion. If you're in the market for a new (to you) set of irons, save some money and score a set of these beauties. From the high-handicapper to the accomplished player, this is a set that you can grow with. I very highly recommend them.

These irons are as solid as any iron currently on the market. Great feel and forgiveness. Distance is consistent and fairly long. They look great at set up and inspire confidence. I have several other Ping products and all are top quality.

Model Reviewed: ping ISI nickel 5.0 rifle

About 18 months ago I reviewed the ISI stainless which is a tremendous iron. Since then I tampered with the i3 blade, hit the S59 and i5 at a recent demo day, I sold the i3's and picked up a set of isi nickel. I am convinced these are the best feeling irons on the market. I am so over reading about bits of plastic inserts, sensicore shafts, utility irons, 460cc drivers ....... the isi nickel is a bit robotic in appearance, but offers distance, feel and with the rifle shaft a pure trajectory. These irons were first made in 1997 and if you like a touch of offset cannot be beaten by any current model iron. (I have just ordered the nickel tour wedges which will be a perfect match for these irons) Lastly I believe ping is the only manufacturer who builds clubs only in the US, and the customer service is testiment to this

these clubs are awsome i love them got the clubs 3 days before i went away on vacation and thought i would struggle as it was a golfing vacation but surprisingly i adapted better than i thought i would. with my old set i could hit a 3iron 210-215 yards but thats a 4iron for me now. and who says there is no reward for hitting it on the screws that is a load. i could not be happier with them the first round i took them out i shot an 84. an average round with my old irons but i was terrible off the tee. once i get them fixed in i may start to shoot in the 70's regularly
