I purchased these clubs on April 15th. It is now June 21st and things still aren't right. On April 15th, the store I purchased them from promised me "no more than 10 days" to deliver the irons. They arrived on May 25th. 5 weeks! I took them out and hit them for a while at the range and even played a round. I kept hearing this "crackling" noise. Something just wasn't right. I originally thought the grips were loose. After my golf instructor took a closer look at them, he determined that they were all broken! He put his left hand on the club head and his right hand on the shaft and made a slight twist back and forth and you could hear the "crackle, crackle". Every single club 3iron to LW was broken! I returned them to the store for closer examination. They agreed that all the irons had "hair line fractures" where the club head and shaft meet. A call to the Ping rep. found that this is caused by A. not enought epoxy or B. poor quality epoxy.
Ping is ordering me a brand new set and they are suppose to arrive in a "week or so". Ping didn't have any demo's for me....so as this nice summer weather is upon us, I am clubless!

I must admit, despite these problems, the store I purchased them at has been fantastic. They offered to exchange any club in the store for me. But, after a few more trials, it's the Ping I3's for me.

I have always played Taylor Made and Titelist up to this point, so my first experience with Ping (the company) has not been great. However, I'm confident that they will get things right this time.

As far as the clubs go, you can't help but hit them farther and straighter. The ball flight is fantastic.

Don't let my customer service story scare you away....I'm sure I'm the "one in a million".

My second choice on irons would be the Taylor Made 320's, followed by the Tommy Armour EVO's. Don't knock the Tommy Armours until you give them a swing. But, if you want forgiveness, distance, forgiveness, accuracy and yes, forgiveness, the Ping O-size is your best bet.

My only complaint about the irons is that they are pretty tough to "work the ball" on a draw or fade. The tendancy is to always his them straight - despite a aliant effort to draw the ball or fade the ball. This can be a good thing or bad thing depending on your approach to the game.

The clubs get a 5 out of 5 rating. My level of disappointment caused by Ping's poor quality assurance on the creation of my clubs gets a 1 out of 5!

Played my best round with i3 o-size. These irons are superb! I played the Fat Shaft before and stated that I would not give them up unless something out of this world came along. It did. The Fat Shaft is accurate and long, but the i3-o are equally accurate, forgiving , not that long BUT easier to create and innovate shots, for example knock-downs and bunker shots. The feeling of the club is one of the main reasons I changed! The price is too steep though.

The i3s make me love golfing much more. I have played this game for 2 years but stopped for a half-year when I injured my shoulder in Feb. I broke my own record when I changed irons to Ping i3-o graphite shaft. The i3s are very forgiving even when I mis-hit. And the feeling at impact is smooth. The distance may be less compared with Callaway X-12 but the accuracy and direction are excellent. I can hit more greens successfully from 100 yards to 150 yards. My friend, equipped with X-12, played this game better than me, but I scored the best last week. This is an excellent iron. I highly recommend for any golfer.

I love these clubs. When I look at them at address I feel good and they give me confidence. I am using the O-size with graphite shafts, and they are my first set of graphite. This does a couple of things: when you hit the ball well, it feels extremely smooth; and it also add some distance. I owned a set of Eye2s for 10 years, and I'm hitting the i3s a lot straighter and longer. The Eye2s are great, but I like the i3s better.

Customer Service

I did the custom fitting through Karsten's website. It was simple, easy to use and proved to be true.

The clubs set up perfectly with just a slight offset. The feeling is solid at impact. Great looks. Feel & look more like a traditional but with the advantages of a Ping cavity. Overall very pleased with my set and would highly recommend.

Customer Service

I have always had fantastic service with Ping's customer service. They answer the phone quickly, answer your questions and stand by their product.

I am a 1 hdcp. I played with Callaway X-12 pro series all of '99 & didn't think I'd be giving them up until these came along. The I3 O-size set up beautifully...they look more like a traditional iron. In my opinion, they are just as forgiving as the X-12s, but you feel the ball more. Ball flight is excellent--I usually play a little draw with them. Two main areas of improvement over the Callaways-A) Progressive offset & B)More square set-up. I also REALLY like the JZ stiff shafts-they fit my swing perfectly. Throughout the set-just a great set of irons.

Customer Service

Ping customer service is very good.

I found the i3s to be more to my liking than my eye2 bu-ne irons. They have a stronger loft and give you more distance without a loss of accuracy. I regret I didn't go for the rifle shafts which I have in the eye 2s but I have no complaint with the J cushion shaft. I'm glad I stayed with Ping.

Customer Service

They are great.
