After I got used to swinging these clubs (having used the original Ping Zings) I found these clubs just plain wonderful! I didn't notice any improvement in length, in fact they are just slightly shorter than my old irons. But the trajectory is high with a beautiful soft landing. I hit my old 4 iron 185 yards, the new 4 iron about 180 but ball flight looks like my old 6. The clubs have a soft, forgiving impact sensation that encourages me to have a smoother, more effortless swing. (stiff graphite shafts) I hit the three iron so well I am tempted to get a two iron, something I wouldn't dream of attempting with my old clubs. Similar Products Used: Ping Zing, Callaway x-12 |

Just go buy them. I tried nearly all of them and the i3s are by far the best. Make sure you go through custom-fitting. Ping hit a home run with these. Found these clubs to be forgiving, can hit the long irons like never before. Stiff shaft and with the cushin insert are easy on the joints when miss hit. They are lofted well and have a good swing weight. I got the wrap grips and like them very well-slightly tacky so don't feel like I have to get a "death grip" on them. Overall, I feel that after much investigation and many sets of demo clubs, I made the right choice with these clubs ! Wow, thes clubs are great. First I shot in the 90s but after i bought this wonderful set and the ping tisi driver i changed to a 80s shooter in a month. These irons have good feel, high trajectory, and they are workable. they lost me a couple of yards but its the best set for its price. I recomend it. Buy it. Excellent clubs. Classic shape at address, great feel from Cushin shafts, beautiful finish and a joy to hit. At this early stage in my golf career I have been real confidence in my irons. I know some traditionalists who complain about the appearance of the notch in the clubhead hosel, but it is NOT visible at address and Customer Service Ping is supposed to be a leader in the field. I feel a joy and a confidence when I hit these irons. It is making this game extremely enjoyable. I am finding it easier to execute shots that people are saying should be more difficult. I've only had them for a week but they are fabulous. Went through the Ping fitting process and it seems to have made a world of difference. I highly recommend this to anyone thinking about buying a set. They cost a bit but they're not the most expensive irons out there by a long shot.
