Ping i15 Irons

Ping i15 Irons

DESCRIPTION

In the design of the i15 iron, PING engineers focused on the better player who prefers an iron set that offers the control to play a variety of shots. Created as a progressive set, the longer irons are larger for more forgiveness. The mid- and short-irons are smaller to ensure workability and control on approach shots.

I got a set of these a few weeks ago and love them. I have only been golfing now for two years and bought a used set of the Ping I3 when I first started. They are like night and day. YOu get great feel with this clubs and they make a great sound on the pure shots. THey seem to get the ball a little higher in the air and I have gained a few yards with most of the mid irons. I would recommend these clubs to anyone who wants to improve there game. Ping in my opion has done a great job with this new technology.

Customer Service

Ping has great customer service. They are going to rework my old i3's form me so I will have them for a back up set. Any time I have ever had to call them they have done what ever it takes to keep me happy, and that is very important. Though they are a little big headed when it comes to the price of their clubs. I think they are a great company.

I took these sticks to the range for a trial. They felt a tad harsh for my expert taste. You see, I'm a true artist when it comes to working the ball and shotmaking. I could beat anyone in this forum hands down. Anyway, these sticks are a little heavy and a little sloppy. They lack the snap, crackle and pop that is needed to earn my respect. You hacks out there (meaning 5 handicaps and above) may like these but that's only because you don't really know how a good shot should feel. How could you? Anyway, these are just OK. Not good enough for me, though.

Customer Service

Ping pretty much caters to me because I'm a key player.

I usually get clubs sent to me for testing because of my ballstriking. I get it all for free.

These clubs are very solid.

I have played 4 rounds with these clubs so far and have hit 9-13 GIR per round. The top line is a tad thicker than I'd like, but otherwise the clubs look amazing and play even better. The progressive sizing makes them an improvement over the i10s (though the i10s looked a little better at address). Easy to hit from most lies.
If you hit off the toe alot, these might not be for you. They are certainly more forgiving than the S58s, but it I ever come up 5-10 yds short on an approach it's almost always a toe hit.
The price is sorta steep for these, but you'll have them awhile, since they are cast. If you can find the money, it's a good buy.

Customer Service

Awesome. PING will do whatever it takes to keep you happy. They custom ground my irons to match the lofts of my last set with no issue and ship FAST! Any issue I've had with PING has been resolved faster than any other company.
