I recently bought the ping eye 2's and they are very nice. The distance is pretty good too. When I first got them it took me some time to get used to them. Shots go extremely high and come down soft. I can spin back a 6 iron.I like these but I think i will try to buy the Eye 2+ irons as I get better. Overall great clubs very consistent. The long irons look great. Similar Products Used: Ping i3 |

PING Eye 2 Square Groove irons
God Bless Karsten for thinking these irons up. My game is more enjoyable and my handicap has dropped a lot just by using them. The most noticeable improvement has been in the short irons and wedges. The ball tends to draw more with them, but I have been fortunate that the spin effect has been positive. Customer Service Excellent service by PING. When I called, they were able to tell me the exact day this set was made. Similar Products Used: Titleist irons. |

Ping Eye 2+
I am a tall golfer and have been playing the Ping Eye 2+ White Dot since they replaced the older eye 2 model. Playing the game in Florida since 10 years of age, they are some of the best irons I have hit. They are probably designed for the little better player, but I would highly recommend them for anyone trying to improve their game and break into the 70's. Customer Service Have never contacted customer service. Similar Products Used: Titleist DCI |

Best irons for the price if you can find a good deal. They are as good as any higher priced iron on the PGA tour and some pros still use them for this reason. I even bought a second set at the same place I purchased this one. Look on e-bay or golf club exchange for good quality used sets. If you can find one, but it. Customer Service Second to none. after buying the eye 2's in 1988, i played with them for 2 years and put them in the closet. i have played with several of the new so called game improvement irons in the past years and finally put the pings back in my bag. the pings are just as good if not bettter than any new club out there. the only drawback is that i have to use 1 more club compared to the new stronger lofted irons.the ping go where you aim and that is what golf is about.forget spending over 600.00 dollars on a set that will not compare to the older eye 2 square grooves Customer Service the best Similar Products Used: callaway x 14. tommmy armour. titleist. |

I used to play the eye 2's when they first came out in the early 80,s...I picked up a set again...they are without a doubt one of the best set of irons ever made...I have the eye 2+ now...they are not the ones I recomend unless you know how to grind the humps off the 9, pw, sw and lob wedge...since I.ve done that they are ok...humps being the sole's have this almost unplayable hump which causes the club to bounce...the older eye 2's have a very playable sole...I played a lot of golf on the Texas Senior PGA and can tell you there are more old pros playing the old eye 2's than you can imagine...that in itself should clarify what I'm saying...the only other problem was the swing weight...c7 or c8 is way too light for me...I lengthened them one inch and cut them to D3 and they are perfect for me cuz I'm a strong guy...I also used the Zing two's for a while but the smaller eye two heads work a little better off the tighter lies we get here in Texas...I've also been playing since 1952 and no matter what you play with you gotta go beat balls or it doesnt make any differance what you play with...See ya... Customer Service they have a email address but Ive never delt with them...I used to be in the club repair business... Similar Products Used: ping zing two's, nicklaus bear, nicklaus n1, hogans... |

I love these clubs ,I use to score in 100, after I had them for 4 months now I score in the 80(I start to play golf 10months ago),the clubs are may be 20 years old but they are great.the shot irons have the ability to spin the ball so well the long iron hit the ball so high and straight, the feeling is exellent when you . But some people may think it's not for better player but I know some good USPGA tour player play them. Customer Service I had the sand wedge bend the loft from 57.40 to 56degree. Well, I have to start out by saying how happy I am again to have these in my bag. Now I've played all kind's of clubs(I mean it), just purchased Taylor Made 320's and thought I was happy? Right!@ I played a round with my brother's Pings and shot 82 against my friend who after the front tied with 39's fell apart as I kept playing sweet. Easily should have shot 5 strokes better, had a few lipped putts! Had to get another set and did, anyone interested in a new set of Taylor Made 320's? Get in touch for a bargin. I don't need them anymore. I can't believe I've come full circle to play these again, I should have stayed with them to begin with. Just to sum up the average golfer's quest for fun, Par's , birdies, green's in regulation, lower scores. I had a guy ask me on a par 5, are you there in 3, yeah putting for birdie I said, drilled it. He say's kiss my ass, slayed him with shot after shot all day!!!! Love these clubs, it's great to be alive, don't waste your money on new stuff. There harder to the feel only if your swing stinks. Start groving and the pure is there always. These are zzlight shafted and I have read all the shaft changes that people do, my black dot standards are just fine. Work on your swing, hit balls and save your money to golf more. I'm a golf nut as I'm sure you can tell, hope to drop index back to under 10 soon, which I know I will!!!! GOLF GOOD- NO GOLF BAD! I think these clubs will suit mid-hadicappers with consistent swings. As a result, I had trouble getting good contact with the original ZZ-Lite shafts which were stiff and had a high kick-point. I re-shafted them with regular flex Precision Superlites steel shafts and the lower kick-point helped my consistency a lot due to the higher trajectory. The feel was better as well but the Copper heads somehow still feel a little hard. The sand wedge is a gem. As much as I liked my old Cleveland wedges, the Eye2 SW has a lot more playability in them. Customer Service Great service over the Net. Locally their agent is very helpful as well. Similar Products Used: Ben Hogan Apex Plus, Ping Zing Copper, Ping ISI, |
