Had to post review after picking up set on ebay recently. Currently own the Pro II's and MP-33's, so I know the sweet feeling of a purely struck shot off the face of Mizuno forged irons. I saw these on ebay and said what the hell, if I don't like can just resell. Bottom line on these is WOW!!! For the money it would be really tough to beat these if your looking for a great forged set of irons. Details below.

First, I love the Pro II's and MP's, will have them for some time to come. They both do what they are supposed to do. Great shots are rewarded and poor shots remain poor shots. The Pro II's are just a tad more forgiving and I actually prefer my ball flight with these over the MP's currently. I'm not fully comfortable with how much higher I seem to hit the MP's and I play in a lot of windy conditions.

Comparing the True's is very easy. They fall right between the Pro II's and MP's. The ball sounds just as good coming off the face. Distance is the same as Pro II's (which are just a hair longer than the MP's due to 1 degree stronger lofts). However, they seem just as forgiving as the Pro II's but work the ball better and the seem to produce a little more spin which I like. They do have a sharper leading edge than the Pro II's which may account for the additional spin and could cause some problems for high handicappers. Lastly, I firmly believe that how a club looks affects how well you play them and damn they look very good sitting in the bag. No club is flat out prettier than the MP but to me the True's look better than the pro II's.

If your looking at the getting a set of forged blades I would put these on the top of your shopping list. You could buy these and a new driver for the same price as a new set of Mizuno's and have one hell of bag of clubs for minimal dollars.

Wow, These are the best set of Irons I have ever used! The 2 iron is my favorite club in my bag. A little tuff to hit, but learn how to hit these irons and they will improve your game greatly! Take it from a good golfer... These irons are great!

I bought these because I missed my old Ram tour grinds and the price was right. I have been playing cast TA3's for about three years but the sweet feel of a forged club was always in the back of my mind. I love these clubs! I've played two rounds with them and look forward to many more. Yardages about the same as the TA3's but with a slightly higher ball flight. The long Irons are easier to hit than my Ram's were, and at least a club longer. I don't care for the offset in the pitching wedge. I've been using a Cleveland 588 that matches my sand and lob. Overall an excellent set of irons for anyone that has time to groove their swing.

I am a high school, and reigonal tournament player, and I have found these irons to be near perfect for the low handicapper with a solid true swing. When hit on the sweet spot, i sometimes question if i hit the ball or not because these clubs are soooooo soft. For any one that is looking to stay competative, or to get competative, i would highly recomend these irons.

I can only say from a low handicap level these are the best blades around. I increased my accuracy and more suprisingly the distance from my previous sticks. I love the soft butter feel when struck solid. If you are a low to maybe a mid handicapper you must try these before making your ultimate decision. I will say this though, if you are struggling to break 80 on a consistent basis stick with cavity backs until you improve. The forging on these clubs like most other blades are much less forgiving than the cavity backs. I just wish all the people in these reviews actually told the truth about their abilities just to say that about 1-3% of golfers actually shoot in the 70's and lower consistently and I find it amazing that they all seem to be here, ya right! Anyway enough venting and Mizuno keep up the good work and it only goes to show why they dominate the PGA tour in wins!!

These are some badass sticks. 350.00 bucks for these and 730 for 990's with the same shafts? Are you kidding me? Well, mizuno has made a great iron here and thanks to their being discontinued we can snag them for a few hundred bucks. They feel incredible and are pretty easy to hit. 3 inches from a hole in one the second time I played with them...CHECK THESE OUT IF YOU'RE IN THE MARKET FOR SOME NEW IRONS!

great irons for the price. forged sweet feel ans same lofts as mp-29 but harder to hit in my own opinion. these irons have punch. they have a slight offset in the 8-pw but the sand wedge doesent have any. the tt-lite shafts suck spend the extra 50 bucks on the s-300's w sensicore. the grips wear out fast of you put a death grip on them like i do. very pleasing set up and the mid irons are a dream come "true" lol. i would have been hapier with the apex plus w/#4 shaft but limited bank account and senior trip and prom comming up i need the cash.

Wow. These irons are the SHlT. I hit them so sweet. I recently had my clubs stolen. So I went everywhere and hit everything. I did not look at prices, I just wanted to get the clubs that felt the best and fit me best. My endless hours of banging balls with 5 taped up demo irons finally had me narrowed down to the Hogan Apex Plus or the Mizuno T-Zoid Trues. The Hogans were great, but when it came down to it, the Mizunos were more consistant and, beleive it or not, felt alot better when hit flush. So, when I decided to purchase the Mizuno's, I was really surprised at the low price tag. $350 bucks for 3-pw with sensicore steel. AWESOME!
Anyway, these are a player's club, so don't expect results unless you are consistently hitting the sweet spot. On the other hand, I think players switching from traditional blades will be surprised at the forgiveness of these clubs when compared to other blades. Being a 1.8 handicap, I want to start competing this year in amateur events. I chose the irons that I think can best do that. They are truly the best thing out there as far as I am concerned.
