I've played these clubs for about 2 years now. Every once in a while, I get the urge to get something newer, shinier. But then I go out and play and remind myself why I play these irons. These are great clubs, which I believe stand up to any of the latest offerings. These are classic, timeless designs. I played MP 33's for a season and struggled with them. I didn't hit them very well, and when I did make contact I hit them too darn high. With the Pros, I've optimized my trajectory, and I've found a little forgiveness too - something which I couldn't get from the MP-33s. Given that I bought these for $225, and all they had was the faintest evidence of shop wear, these were an incredible value. My only gripe would be that they came with those crappy grips. Re-grip 'em and love 'em.

The best clubs I have ever hit! I have played ping and titliest and they do not compare with the playibility of the t-zoid irons. What impresses me is the results from off center hits, no lost of distance due to the design of the club.

My handicap index is 8.5. I have been into clubmaking for many years not being willing to pay big bucks for big name clubs. Well I lost my SnakeEyes TC-01 9 iron and it this head has been discontinued at Golfsmith. The good news was...time for new clubs! Hillandale golf in Durham NC has a great pro shop with a nice selection of very clean used/demo clubs. Found the T-zoid Pro for $199 with DG s300 sensicore, freshly regripped. Could not even buy comparable components for less. These clubs are like hammers! Solid and powerful. I completely agree with the previous reviewer that said if you make a good slow backswing the clubs will do the rest! Very workable as well. Played 9 holes last night with them for the first time. Got about 230 off the tee with the 3 iron on two shorter par fours, and I only missed one green...but I was pin high just off the fringe. I don't know about having to be a low hcp. to play these, I think the heavier feel might not work well for those with a fast swing. I am very, very, pleased thus far.

Purchased from Jimbo's Golf on consignmemnt. At the time I was in the market for a better feeling club the offered a great deal of control. This club has it all control, accuracy, power, and feeling. The set I purchased was in mint condition, it was a real steal!!!!!

I picked up my set of t-zoid pro irons at a golf shop. They were used but hardly showed any wear at all. I love these irons! they give me the exact trajectery I have searched a long time for. They also have a great feel to them, a little more weight than most popular models today. This allows you to let the club do the work, no need to overswing. Just swing true and these irons will back you up.

Model Reviewed: Mizuno T Zoid Pro (original not Pro II)

I have been playing Yonex ADX tour forged for 2.5 years and love them but after working hard on my game my swing has got more rhyhtmic and at the same time quicker. The reg shafts in the Yonex were getting a little to active and 'kicking' meaning that I started to spray the ball. I started to look a new set with stiff shafts. I tried several sets of new clubs and then I found a set of second hand Mizuno Pro's with rifle 6.5 shafts at a great price. I demoed them and fell in love. They are great irons, the feel is superior to nearly any other iron I have tried (barring other Mizuno forged and Ben Hogans) and the ball flight is a nice height. (Not too high and floaty and not too low). They are easy to control and the spin into greens is fantastic. I would say that they are irons suitable for low to mid (15/16ish) handicappers (whatever anyone says - you have to be striking the ball well get on with them). They are however far more forgiving than the Pro II, for ProII s I think you must be a good striker in single figures. These clubs are predictable and consistent and feel great- what more can you ask for

I have gone through several sets of clubs before staying with these. (T/A 845,Founders Clubs, Ping Zing2, T/A 855,DCI 962)I have have always been a good ball striker, and these are the best feeling ones out there. That is if you hit the sweet spot. The sweet spot is a bit smaller that normal but it is worth searching for! Because once you grove your swing to find it most of the time, the feeling is very rewarding! I am also a feel player and if I feel that I am not hitting it pure, it will tell you, so I work a bit harder to find it on the range. These have very consistent distances that you can rely on. The 3 iron is the hardest to hit but the rest is great. Very vey workable. The looks can't be matched. I keep em clean because the finish is so nice to look at and I have been using em for almost 3 yrs now and they are still looking quite nice. I love the way they setup to the ball. I hit the 4 iron 190, 5 180, 6 170, 7 160, 8 150, 9 140, P 130. There really is a reason why a lot of feel players choose mizuno forgings. GET a SET and hit em sweet!!!
