I have been using Ping ISI irons and wanted to upgrade to a newer and more game forgiving set. I did my reseach and finally purchased a custom fit set of MX-900’s from TGW. Not only are they a great looking iron set, but man-o-man are these irons awesome. I have a mid-high handicap and have been taking steady golf lessons for the past year. The Pings that I have been using were OK, but I felt I needed a more forgiving and better game improvement irons. The first time I used the MX-900s, I felt like Tiger Woods. The clubs feel great in my hands, they swing perfect, and boy can they hit. I remember reading a review where the writer said “using the MX-900 was like cheating”.....He’s RIGHT. When using the MX-900s everything seems to be perfect, especially my hitting distance and ball trajectory. Everything is high and straight. I gained 10-20 yards using my short irons and at least 20 yards will the long irons. In fact, I could not hit a long iron until now. The hybrid style long irons definitely help. Thanks MIZUNO! |

Bought set new on eBay for $680 a month ago. Have played 10 nine hole rounds of golf with them. Had been using Titleist 804.OS irons for the last year. Getting a extra club distance with these Mizuno clubs. Look good in the bag and when addressing the ball. Have had some really long shots with the 3 and 4 iron. Worth looking at if you are prepared to spend some money BUT shop around (don't pay $900 if you can help it). Customer Service Have not had to use yet. Just had a chance to hit these at our course driving range and i gota tell you these are the most awsome clubs i have ever hit.Over the past 3 years i have had 6 or more different sets of clubs.Yes i spent alot of money.. (Taylor made Burner LCG,Firesole-Orlimar SF302,Hipsteel-Callaway VFT-Top Flights-And a few clones.) Theses are not a big headed club like thoes callaways and others which is good i don't like thoes oversize heads any more..So i was a little conserned because i never got a chance to look at them close before i bought them. Nobody arround here sells anything but callaway or ping or some cheepies that you can prob, get cheaper at wallmart.Anyways...My left elbo was broken when i was young and my left arm doesn't lock so i have a week swing. So i was conserned about a forged club giving alot of feed back and stinging my hands. This is not the case with these clubs. For a forged club it feels like your slicing through butter and the ball rockets off the club face when you put a nice swing on it.Yes hit it waaaay off center and it lets you know it's forged. I was hitting the 4 iron almost 200 and thats unreal, because before this i could hardly hit a regular 6 iron let alone a 4 iron. I just can't say enough about these clubs. If i can hit these clubs then anybody can hit these with great success and accuracy.(If you get these clubs and can't hit them then you better give up golf) My hats off to you MIZUNO.......... Not real sure why I purchased these clubs I think it was more of the look than anything, they look awesome in the bag. I have a set of Ping G2s and had no complaints, fortunately I bought the MX-900s anyway, they are truly the best iron I have ever used. A couple guys I golf with hit them a few times and both are looking into ungrading from their Callaway X-18s. Purchase these clubs and after you play them, you will know where your money went. I played Ping G-2's for one year prior to purchasing the Mizuno's. I hit the Pings accurately (at least for me), but the vibration and feedback was harsh. I discussed various club choices with the local pro shop and decided to give the Mizuno's a try. These clubs are awsome. I have only played one round, but I can already tell a difference. Very soft, but the feed back is good enough to let you know what you are doing wrong. I would say these are a few yards longer than my Pings, and definitely more accurate. The pictures on Mizuno's web site don't do these clubs justice. They are absolutely beautiful. They set up nice at address. The 3-I and 4-I hybrids are a nice touch also. The higher lofted irons still let you work the ball and have some touch. Customer Service I ordered mine with Tru Temper Dyna Lite shafts, one degree upright, and the Mizuno blue tour grips. Mizuno has several options. Their factory rep actually brought a set to the pro shop for me to try prior to my purchase. Similar Products Used: Ping G-2's, Callaway Big Bertha. |

I'm getting old and my forged blades (Mizuno MP-33) are stinging my arms. So, I was looking for irons with some help. I tried many brands and one Saturday I was playing with a friend that has the MX-900. I asked him to give it a try, and I have just one word to say: unbelievable!! If you're looking for irons that are easy to hit, controllable and very long, look no further. I strongly recommend for anyone. If you tru it, you buy it! Customer Service Don't need to use so far. I purchased these clubs after trying them at a demo day. I liked the idea of having hybrid like long and mid irons and more conventional short irons.I really loved the solid feel of these clubs. I waited to buy them until I was able to hit them outdoors. I usually hit a graphite shafted 6 iron 150-160 yards. I was easily hitting the steel shafted MX900 6 iron 160-165 yards on a fairly cool day. I am very happy with these clubs but you need to shop around for price. The normal selling price is $900.00 for the dynalite gold steel shafted version, but I found them for $760.00 on the internet ( you have to call for price ) and my local shop matched it. The other nice feature is that you can custom order to your specs. This is a great set of clubs for any golfer but especially a mid to high handicap player. The long and mid irons play so much easier than a conventional set but because they are forged you still get some feedback and feel. Customer Service Mizuno was very helpful with questions before the sale.I have not yet needed to contact them regarding any post sale issues. |

I purchased these irons after test driving the MX-23 for a month. These irons are more forgiving than the MX-23 and produced some exceptional shots first time out. They have a beautiful solid feel and gave me an extra club distance, with exceptional accuracy. I have been playing Callaway X-14 Pro Series that were very good, but these irons, forged, are much better. I would highly recommend them for any mid handicapper. By far the best irons I have ever hit. I read a review from someone with the same irons and said he lost yards, I'll say "whatever" to that. The first iron I hit was the 8 iron and it soared to 170 yards, and I that was with a smooth easy swing. The thing I was afraid of most, with the new technology was that I wouldnt be able to work the ball right to left or left to right, but I could do whatever I wanted to with the ball flight. Another good thing, man they look good in my golf bag. I would recommend these clubs to any one with a low or a high handicap. And look around for the best price, I got my set from my local pro-shop for 716 bucks!! Similar Products Used: Titleist DCI's Mizuno MP-13 |
