I'm only writing this review because I found the reviews posted here helped me narrow my decision on which clubs I would test to replace my trusty set of Tommy Armour 845's.
I just want to give back, from my perspective.
I selected the Mizuno MX-19's, MX-25's and the MX900's at a Golf Discount store, which also included an outdoor, driving range.
First I warmed up with my own 845 Six iron until I had worked out the kinks. I tried the MX-19 first (it was the lowest priced set); the ball had a higher trajectory and yet landed a good 5 yards further then the 845. The club seemed a little more forgiving when hit outside the sweet spot, but there was a definite ting up the shaft even when hit sweet. I tried the MX-25's next. Same high trajectory and length, the only difference was less ting when hit off center and a more buttery feel when hit sweet. Next the MX-900, wow, NO Ting even when hit off center and much better feel all around. Needless to say, I purchased the MX-900's and have now played over 30 rounds with them. The clubs continue to perform consistently in their distance and control. The high trajectory and spin rate in the lower irons have allowed me to shoot directly at the pin with the confidence that the ball will check up or perhaps even back up on the green. The hemispherical weighted heads of the longer irons provide maximum distance with an easy swing. All around I would say the clubs are a great choice for any mid handicapper.

Customer Service

None so far, but I will replace the grips with something better then the Mizuno grips.

Having previously owned some supposed game improvement Top-Flite irons. They weren't bad but I didn't notice ay massive improvement over the 2 years I played with them. So I was in the market for new irons and on a budget. I read review after review and the feedback was very positive.

I went to my local range to ask to hit them but they had sold out ad I could only hit the MX-25's. I liked them but were out of my budget. So I went to Nevada Bobs and hit the 900's in the nets. Unbeleievable!! Even with the pressure of a few people watching I was nailing it perfectly. So i bought them on the spot.

Drove straight to the range and got 50 balls. Hit the PW, 8 and 3. Found myself shanking the PW a bit but sorted that out after a few balls. 3 iron is out of this world. The takeaway at the start of the swing is made very easy with the fat sole and ball flight was arrow straight on the first shot. Considering the forged manufacturing, off-centre hits didn't sting at all.

All in all, I can't recomment these enough, and they're pretty cheap now as I believe Mizuno might be discontinuing them soon. Have fun!

Wow...I hate to be repetitive, but the majority of the reviews have been right on. Traded in my MP 60's, which I did like, for the amazing feel and forgiveness of these clubs. Similar length and ball flight to the MP 60, but the feel and ball flight of off center hits is almost freaky. I hit a bad shot with a big groan, only to look up and find the ball tracking, mostly, where I intended. They are simply terrific clubs and I thank Mizuno for making a good looking and forgiving club.

Well, I'm guessing I'm like many of you who were very good players (2 handicap)in their younger days when they could play forever and ever, slice balata balls, hit blades a mile and have their body hold up while doing it. For me at 56 years of age, those days sadly are gone. Thus, my quest for the perfect set of irons began. I searched the internet for weeks reading reviews and advice on what to buy, hitting 6 iron after 6 iron into nets and even purchasing and then returned a couple sets of clubs. I had always wanted a set of Mizuno's but $900 is a lot of money. Then it happened, I walked into Golf Galaxy and there they were, hanging on the wall smiling directly at me, a beautiful set of used Mizuno MX 900 with Winn grips for $499. So I hit 20 balls with a 6 iron into the golf course screen, 10 went into the target 5 rolled under the target and the other 5 were just a little left or right. The feel of a forged iron Mizuno was better than feel that I had been used to from the forged Wilson's I had always hit, there was that butter like feel to the shot that everyone talks about, and that sold me. I walked out that day and never looked back except to buy 3 Mizuno wedge's to go with my new iorns. Now I can't wait to get down the fairway to hit my new iron into the green. It's a great feeling and I'm once again excited about playing a lot of golf this year. I highly recommend trying the Mizuno MX 900 even if you have to buy used. It will be the best money you have spent in a long time...THANK YOU MIZUNO!!!

Customer Service

Everyone at Golf galxy was great, they gave me $20 off the price of the irons and even bent my wedges 1 degree flat..free of charge while I waited, and sold me a dozen of the new Pro V1's at a bargain rate.

I don't usually write reviews, but I have to on these clubs. First, I'm an old guy (67) and needed a more foregiving club. I didn't add a lot of distance (a couple of yars or so per club), but what I did get was a lot more consistency, and a whole lot more accuracy. The hit high (I have always hit irons high), and that's the way I want it as it give a better chance of stopping the ball on the green. If I need more distance I just use a longer iron. I got 3-pw and could not be happier with them. Their accuracy relieves some of my putting woes. Big grin on that. I've even had a couple of games in the hi 70's. If you need a foregiving club with great accuracy then this is the club. I had them fitted at 1/2 long, 2 degrees upright.

Customer Service

Just the fitting and ordering. IT was done very quickly and to specs. No problems whatever.

I purchased a set of Mizuno MX-900 irons, and I am extremely happy with them. I am just coming off of an 18-month test with a set of MacGregor M675 blades with stiff shafts. Now I've done it, and I'm over it -- I'm glad I did; it taught me that equipment really does matter. I have a slower swing speed. I need forgiveness, and I also prefer the feedback that steel provides. I dumped the ego and accepted that I need cavity back clubs with regular flex steel. I've now played about six rounds with the Mizunos and they are great! They are very forgiving -- if you don't bring your best swing to the course, they will still perform. Good feedback on mis-hits. At least a club longer than my stiff steel blades -- and I think I can get even more as I continue to refine my swing. These clubs feel like precision instruments. Also, the long irons are amazingly easy to hit. I had gotten used to 40% of my long-iron shots being worm-burners or screaming slices -- to the point I was using a hybrid instead. I would estimate 80% of my long irons are now straight and long to my target, using the Mizunos. I can improve that too! Lots of excellent control with the shorter irons. Even can spin it back on the green more than the other irons. These are not just "game improvement" irons. These irons give you game!

Customer Service

I bought mine in an E-bay auction from a golf retailer. After I won, I went to a local golf retailer and got fitted. I provided the specs (3/4" long, 2 deg up, double wrap on grips) to the E-bay retailer, and he ordered them direct from Mizuno. They arrived three weeks later. Excellent service!

After reading all these reviews, I decided to write one before I even own these clubs. I went to the PGA Tour Superstore to get properly fit. I was totally open to ANYTHING. The last clubs I had were Callaway X-12. I too went through the "Blade Phase" with Hogan Grinds back in the day and just couldn't hit it consistently enough. At the PGA Tour Superstore, they had me on 3 cameras, tested every conceivalbe facet of a golf swing and I tried at least a dozen different irons. I thought I had settled on Callaway Fusions until I just happened to pull out the MX-900 and swing it. I loved the balance of this club and thought the look was amazing. I asked them to analyze a dozen hits from a 6-iron, so they taped it up and I hit from a hard board as well as a matt. Dead center every time. I'm a 3.8 Handicap and I've never in my life felt anything like this. I knew immediately I would buy them and ordered a 3-PW, 1 inch longer shaft, 2 degrees upright with S-300 Stiff and Golf Pride midsize tour wraps. I'm 6'5" and I just can't even wait for the phone call to tell me they're here. I too saw the note about mid-to-high handicappers, but that's a load of bull. These clubs can improve anyone's game and I'm eager to see how they improve mine. Someone wrote a note about "don't buy retail". I'm getting these custom fit with a 30 day return policy for $794.99. I would highly recommend retail at that price. Steve in Dallas

Not for me... I am not sure if all of the glowing reviews come from people with the steel shafted version, I bought the Graphite Exsar 2 version and they were very bad, Soft shafts, weak balooning ball flight, short distance, awful...
Did feel smooth when flushed, but no distance compared to other pro line clubs, at least 1-2 clubs shorter... Grips cheap rubber, did not feel, look or perform like an expenmsive quality set...
Bought back my X-18's and I am much happier. Be careful with the graphite...
