Nice sticks, but unfortunately not as good as the ones they were supposed to replace, the MX-23. Same ball flight, same distance, but not the feel or the sticking power of the 23's. Also not the same buttery feel when that perfect contact is made. The 25's are made of softer metal than the 23's, yet the 23's feel much better. Could be the Dynalite Gold SL shaft on the newer irons, but something is different and not for the better. If you want a good forged iron with forgiveness look for discontinued MX-23's, for much less money you will get a much better playing and feeling stick

I decided to purchase a set of Callaway's 06 without really thinking or even testing them properly. What a mistake that was!

mizuno are bang on with these irons, i wouldn't fully say that they are "game improvement" irons... i would class them more as "transition irons" more like... the middle between game improvement and players irons. slightly more weighted to game improvement though.
Customer Service top notch. mizuno were amazing and fast. no complaints. Similar Products Used: ping G5

Lovely! I have played many forged clubs over the years, these are far and away the most forgiving. I had them done custom with Dynalite Gold stiff shafts and couldn't be happier. The most consistent ball flight I have experienced in a set of irons yet. They will let you know when you miss but are still quite forgiving. I highly recommend the MX-25 for scratch through 15. Mizuno rocks, buttery, yummy goodness. |

I startet playing golf this summer and after a couple of month with my old clubs (Bay Hill) i decided to get some new ones. I tested almost every club available on the market, from cavity back to full blade. I finally choose the MX-25 from Mizuno because of the superb feeling and game enhancing qualities as well. Nothing feels like a Mizuno! As I am still very young I am using the MX-25 with Nippon Steel Shafts. Nice shaft in combination with the clubface. The ultra lowweight shaft enhances you to generate high club speeds and easy control of the trajectory. I look down on my new clubs and say...wow. And that is what its all about. You have too play them an not someone else. The MX-25´s clubface offers forgiveness on the one hand and shot shaping abilities one the other hand as you can see as several tour players do use these clubs. Just take them and you will not be disappointed. But I would go for the Nippon steel shaft instead of graphite. After 20yrs I've finally found a set of clubs that blow away my eye2's. The clubs have a great look behind the ball. Feel is better than any club I've tried. Distance has been about a half club shorter than my sons callaway x-20's. If your in the 80-low90's buy them you won't be disappointed. Customer Service Never used them Similar Products Used: Ping eye2's,Callaway 2006 big bertha & x-20's. |

Just bought a set off Ebay for $425 for a set rated 9.9 out of 10 by the seller. When I opened the box, it had one hit mark on the 6 iron. Standard lie/loft with S300 shafts. Shot a great round right off the hop. Irons are 1 club longer than my Titleist 990's with a whole world of difference in the feel. Absolutely pleased with the ball flight. Went to the range the next day and was totally impressed with all the irons. Very pro like ball flight. Even off center hits travel within an acceptable distance. I demo'd Callaway X Tour, Titleist 775's and Mizuno MP32's. Glad I choose the MX25's. You will be too! |

Tried Callaway X20 tour w/px 6.0 flighted for 3 months which are good clubs, downside was a little too much bounce and wide sole for tight fairways and trouble holding fast greens.(distance average, feel was good). Ping s59 for 2 months w/rifle fligthed 5.5 short irons were excellent, long irons seem too light to get the proper distance and accuracy, a little harsh on the hands, these held the greens better than the Callaway. The greens on my main course are very fast. Both Ping and Callaway shafts were a little stiff for me, I test in the middle of r and s, I was trying to get my ball flight down.
Customer Service Ordred clubs after fitting and had in 9 working days.(Mizuno) Callaway and Ping also Fast. Similar Products Used: Clubs mentioned above were course played, tested a number of clubs in a simulator. I give the other 3 irons tested here a 4 star. A good way to judge the reviews on this site is look at the companys whole line up and Mizuno stacks up well. Mizuno is perhaps the only company that puts quality shafts in all thier irons. |

Great Club. In 2002 I got a set of MX-20s and loved them, went with a set of MX-23s in 2005 but thought I was ready for a 'players' set and got the MP-60s last October. The MP-60s are a great set of irons but not really for my game. I'm not much into working the ball.
Customer Service Don't know since I got them from eBay. Similar Products Used: MX-20, MX-23 |
