Absolutely the best allround irons you can get. Have forged head but with a cavity back. Can do anything a blade can do but with the forgiveness of a game improver. I know single figure blade users that rate these above their own mizuno blades. Don't listen to all the techno babble from other clubmakers, forged beats cast every time, in every department. Feel is absolutely pure with a fantastic ball flight. Can work these any which way and the consistent solid impact from the huge sweetspot is second to none. These are the best irons ever made, without doubt. Also look great, both in the bag and at address. No offset with a thin top line but fairly large head. Not chunky like callaways etc. Alos a great price on a new set as the MX23 is replacing this line, although I've heard the MX23 are more towards game improvement and not as precise as these. Anyone who buys American brands ahead of these is insane. |

I've been using these irons for more than a year now. I can truly confirm that the MX20's performance and accuracy (along with constant training & practice) has greatly improved my game . On Jan 2004, I began shooting in the low 90s. Nowadays, I regularly score around 82 ~ 78 per round. Really excited this 2005! Am planning to put more focus on my iron game with the MX20s. (Looking forward to shooting 72~75 early next year.) Also make sure that you get proper club fitting. I'm about 5'8" 170 lbs and using standard specs on my MX20s. Est. Carry distance SW-85, FW-98, PW-112, 9-123, 8-133, 7-144, 6-156, and 5-168. Club swing weight are a bit heavy. This helps me groove a smooth steady swing. Flush shots are perfect both in distance and direction. Off center hits are still go straight with minimal loss in distance. Ball trajectory is from mid to high flight pattern - perfect for soft approach shots to the green / pin. Personally speaking, Mizuno MX20 FORGED irons give the best feel on all but the worst shots. Make sure before every shot, check your GAPS (Grip Aim Posture Stance). Swing smoothly with the MX20s and watch your shots fly long straight and high to your target. You get perfect balance and confidence with MX20 on every shot... I know I do. Get them brand new from Ebay at about US$400 + S/H. Really don't have any plans of switching clubs. Am really comfortable and confident with my MX20s. Mizuno is truly for "Serious Performance." I have a friend that works with Champions Tour golfers, and he is amazed at the collection of 10, 20, and 30 year old clubs these guys still carry and use, because they work and there's no reason to change. They play them until they're unplayable. That's the way I feel about my MX-20s: why would I change? I've gone from a 20 to a 10, mid 90s to low 80s - not that they are the reason (TONS of practice is the reason), but I am quite happy with the consistency they have provided. Beautiful clubs (matters to me). Great topline - relatively thin, makes alignment very precise. Solid hits have a beautiful feel, mis-hits are noticeable but nonetheless forgiving. Make sure you are fitted - I am 5'10", yet have mine 2 degrees upright. It is my understanding that Mizunos are fitted to Japanese golfers, average height 5'6". My fitting has certainly worked for me. My only complaint is that they follow the modern profile of turning a pitching wedge into a nine-iron, leaving lots of room at the wedge end: the pitching wedge is 46 degrees (in 1985, perhaps 1990, the average pitching wedge was 49 or 50 degrees). It helps the ego to say that you hit your pitching wedge 125 yards, but it doesn't help your game when you need clubs to hit the ball 105, 85, 65, etc. Yes, you can use the Pelz system of 4 wedges (PW, GW, SW, LW), and I do, but I might prefer a little more choice by making the PW 48-50 degrees. Customer Service Always get a human within 5 minutes, and the human has always been helpful with issues like loft, bounce, shafts, etc. Similar Products Used: Various Cleveland, Ping, Calloway, Hogan products (who can keep track these days?!). Specifically hit against Ping G2s, with no noticeable differences except the thin topline of the Mizunos is preferable for me. |

These are the best irons I have ever played period . Forgiving , workable if you want them to be, Feel is flat out wonderful, I have dropped atleast 10 strokes in 3 months with these irons . Seems you always play better with new irons for a short time but with these it stays thats way and even improves as you get use to them ! Very forgiving very playable and look great ! I have played both the steel and the Mizuno Blue graphite and the graphite seem to play better its a great shaft ! If you can find these for under $500 or the Mx-23 buy them ! Customer Service Havnt needed it ! Similar Products Used: Taylormade RAC OS , Rac MB , MP-30 , Apex Plus , Titleist 704 , Tourney . MX-20's put these all to shame ! |

These irons have improved my game no doubt about it. I have played now for three months and confidence is very high. I have never considered being able to work the ball but this set has me shaping shots. Not being a pro some are great and some not so good, but nevertheless the game is on with these irons. The distance and high flight are excellent. The distance control is great too. I usually have found that a new set play well for a short time and then goes down hill afterwards, but not with these. Forged is the way to go and as promised are so consistent in feel it is funny. Customer Service n/a Similar Products Used: Hogan apex, titliest mb, taylor made rac. |

Previous best score-82. Bought MX-20's, bent 2d flat, last week and I have already shot an 81 and 80 in last 2 rounds. I am at least 1-1.5 clubs longer and much more accurate than any other club I have played with. The feel is incredible on flush shots and mis-hits are much better than I ever thought a forged club could be. I am finally not the shortest iron player in my group! Customer Service Have not used. Having made the decision to move from PING ISI-K's (Lack of feel). I have tested numerous irons over the past month from the Cleveland TA7, PING i/3+, Taylor Made RAC, Srixon i320 and Mizuno MP30. The only clubs that let you know what's going on are the MIZUNO's. I wish i was good enough to play the Mizuno MP30's.As on a good day - you will not find a better feeling/solid club. That brings me onto the MIZUNO MX20's. Fantastic feel (Not as good as MP30), great distance and very forgiving - what more could you ask for? To put this into context - at the driving range i would normally practice with a 7 iron. With the MX20's a 4 iron is the std club i use to practice. That's how easy they are to hit!!! A very sweet feeling set of clubs that require a disciplined golf swing. I hit quite a few fat shots with these on the course. Results were better on the range but you can make adjustments as you go there. Probably a case of the clubs being better than the golfer. A relaxed but firm grip make these respond well. However, if you're having an off day these clubs offer no sympathy. Customer Service n/a Similar Products Used: TopFlite XL-2000 Callaway X12 |

I have been building my own clubs for 6 years now and enjoyed doing it. It allowed me to experiment with different combinations of equiptment. But I am here to tell you there is a total difference of quality and playability with the Mizuno MX-20's I bought. Here is my story and I have 3 witnesses to it. My first round with them was a tournament at LongBow Golf Club in Mesa Arizona and it was a shotgun start....we started at the 4th hole. Well the 7th was a par 3, 206 yard that was partially surrounded by bunkers. I brought out the 5 iron for its first swing and it felt perfect.....Long story short....HOLE IN ONE!!!! We went nutts. Unbelievable and I have the Mizunos to partially thank for the memoriable experience. Best club I have ever swung....highly recommend. |

I just received my brand new set of irons 3-pw from RockBottomGolf.com. After 3.5 yrs. of having fun at the golf course y decided to move on from my old set of Big Betrha's. I just thought it was time to move on since i am now stable at low 90's and sometimes in the 80's and give my game an edge. I only have plated 2 rounds with these clubs and the difference is quite amazing!. Yardage has improved a lot. the perfect example: with my Callaway clubs at 50 yards i used to grab the 5 iron...now the 7 iron is the way to go. I spent a couple of weeks looking for the right set and i think i just found it after reviewing all the imputs from the people here at golfreview.com. Actually, i was very satisfied with the price given the fact that these came with graphite shaft (stiff flex). Bottom line, those of you that want to try it and have not made the decision should run to the golf shop right now...won't regret it. The impact feeling is incredible. Customer Service Haven't used it yet. Similar Products Used: Ping Eye-2, Callaway Big Bertha. |
