Mizuno MP-67 Irons

Mizuno MP-67 Irons

DESCRIPTION

Continuing the award winning success of Cut MuscleTM technology, the Mizuno product development team has developed a new muscle back iron featuring an innovative "Slender" Cut Muscle design. This new Slender Cut MuscleTM allows the player complete ball control by pin-pointing the COG inside the muscle back design. Utilizing our Grain Flow Forging® and Cut MuscleTM technology, the design team was able to provide a neutral COG relative to the shaft axis and a consistent sweet spot location for exact trajectory and distance control. The cambered sole of the MP-67TM allows the player precise shot making capability from all types of lies. The MP-67TM long irons achieve a mid-high trajectory, while the scoring irons deliver a mid trajectory.

The MP-67TM offers unmatched ball control by utilizing a new "Slender" Cut MuscleTM Design to precisely position the COG from iron to iron.

I bought these straight from mizuno around 2 months ago, 3 to sw and got a free 56 deg wedge with them, they are all fitted with project x shafts reg at no extra cost. As soon as i took them on the course they were excellent felt smooth and great, even though i lose a club on distance with them they make up on the feel, my previous irons were ping g5 custom fitted, these were great but dont compare to the accuracy and feel of these mizunos. I was hitting on average 70 - 72 with the pings the mizunos have helped me to average 67 - 69 and i am still getting used to these. great clubs i would recommend for handicapps 5 and lower. Amust buy best clubs ever and look the buisness!!!

Been playing with titlist dci 990s, that I bought used. Thought it was time for a new set of clubs. So I picked up a set of the mp-67s, and the rest has deen history. The first time I played with them I shot 89, I usually shot in the low 100s. Now I'm always high 80s low 90s. Great clubs

I initially intended to upgrade my existing clubs from my Mizuno Faldo IDs (midsized cavity backs) from the 90's. I'm a pretty confident iron striker (my short game lets me down :-()and absolutely loved the soft silky feel these irons give. They are immensley workable clubs. They are immensley precise on the course and will go exactly where you want to hit them. They do take some getting used to though as they are not particularly forgiving. They require absolute concentration and good technique. In summary they are deadly, good looking, precision instruments of golf.

I played with the old TM Burner Bubbles for 12 years and enjoyed them. I have a fairly strong golf stroke and always thought I should be using steel shafted clubs. Tried the MP67 and all I can say is WOW! I like the fact that when you hit the ball the club rewards you like you wouldn't believe. Awesome feel and launch. Not to mention the fact that is looks sexy as hell. Great product!

Tested X-Forged, X-Tours, 695CB, MP60, MP57 and MP67 at the fitting center's driving range (no synthetic mats). For a 10 H/C player looking to improve further, I was searching for a combo of forgiveness and workability - I wasn't considering blades at all.

Tried the above models without looking at what club I was handed by the pro. Shockingly, everytime I was handed the MP67 (S300), overall it was "by far" the most consistent in trajectory, distance, dispersion, workability and perfect center hits. The headweight and shaft balance on these clubs is awesome.

I was skeptical about some of the reviews below. However, I am now sold on the idea that one should get fitted and, if one has a consistent swing, one should not be shy to try out even blades.

I chose to go with a combo set 67's(7-W) and 57's (3-6) and couldn't be happier. The 67's have a tight flight and it they are truley scoring irons. The 67's top lines are great and I can hit them high to tight pins or drive the ball low and check it up with consistancy. The slim soles are also a gret benefit to cut through any tough lie or pinch it off the fairway. If you like to be creative and really feel the club throughout your swing these clubs will give you the freedom to do so. I like the 57's (3-6) to obtain a higher ball flight that enables me to land it soft on hard greens and get away from hitting bullets that drive through the green from 180-215 out. A little more forgivness is great to when hitting a longer iron.

Customer Service

Great. Bought them from the Mizuno rep to get the combo set with 6.0 Rifle Precison shafts and Luke Donald's blue full cord grip. Once ordered, got them in 7 days.

well i just got these irons and i LOVE the looks of them. i hit them on the range and immediately realized the workability of them. the sweet spot like all blades is small but when you really catch one the ball just doesnt stop and lands with soo much spin. i just went from ping i5 irons and i was pleased with them but i just wanted the feel of blades. they are in a way training aids if your swing is already advanced it helps force you to swing correctly or else a stinging sensation in your palms. i love my choice and would encourage the scratch to 7 handicapers to purchase a set.

I would like to apologize to everyone for the review I wrote previously. I was really upset at the time I wrote it because I read so many good reviews about these mp67 clubs and how easy to hit them. Well, it wasn't easy to hit them. As a matter of fact, to this day, I've only hit the sweet spot less then 10 times. I changed my swing numerous times to accomodate hitting these irons better but to no avail. Sigh... I finally decided to trade them in and get muscle back so I can enjoy the game again. For those of you who commented on my previous posting, Thank you for encouraging me and understanding my frustration instead of criticizing or putting me down. I used to like playing golf before I got these clubs. I'm giving 5 stars to offset my previous claims.

Wow, that review (if you can call it a review) was pretty bad. Dude, what is your problem? I think you've got some issues that you should resolve before writting or speaking in a public forum. This page is for the intentions of golf equipment reviews based upon personal experience, and in no way after reading the vomit that you wrote did it help me to know how the MP-67 irons perform. If I were to review a person of your stupidity, I'd say that your the guy no one wants to play a round of golf with and you feel bitter towards everyone because of your self-right, pompus attitude, because in no way could YOU ever be wrong about anything!
Anyway, I shouldn't have to apologize for the likes of you but since you'll never do it, The Mp-67 irons are a great combination of playability and forgiveness aimed at the 10 handicapper looking to improve. Grain flow forging is the way to go if your looking for improved feel. The sweet spot is like no other, not that the idiot that shot his mouth off in the last review even knows where that is! So if your needing the workability a little more that the forgiveness, these are a excellent choice.

Mizuno makes the best line of golf irons. Lots of tour pros us the irons, but indorse the company line of driver, ball, or putters that they carry instead.

I received my new Mizzy's two days ago. Played first time yesterday. These clubs are wonderful!! Especially the "scoring irons". It's like they seek the pin. The winds yesterday were hurricane force, so it was kinda hard to really see what these clubs can do. There is forgivness in these clubs, but you do know when you hit a bad shot. But the rewards for a well struck ball is indescribable. These clubs are so well balanced that just swinging them is a joy. I would however recommend the custom fitting. Worth every dime! I have the 6x persision rifle flighted shafts, +.50,upright 4 degrees. If you are a consistent ball striker, I think I would definently give these a test drive.
