I purchased the M60's with the Project X 6.0 shafts. I replaced a set of Titleist DCI's that were 10 years old. I absolutely like these clubs. They are straighter and the distance is consistent, they are a little longer than the DCI set. You really need to concentrate on every shot to hit the sweet spot but unless you hit a way out on the toe shot you don't lose much distance.

I bought a set of MP-60's (5-PW) after taking out a demo set at my local course. I absolutely love them. I previously played with PING G5's but felt they weren't helping me improve. I had been a 12 handicap for quite some time, despite playing 4-5 times per week. The PING's felt bulky and awkward, with way to much offset.

After my first 5 rounds with the MP-60's, my handicap has dropped to a 10.2 USGA index and I have every bit of faith it will be single digits this year. Not bad for a guy who has only been playing 3 years, without a single lesson.

Feel
These irons have awesome feel. Shots struck pure are butter. Poorly struck shots buzz a little, but not harsh. Easy to control distance with half and 3/4 shots.

Playability
Excellent sums it up. Hit it high, hit it low, fade, draw on command. Had a shot behind a tree today, set up to hit a slice with a 7 iron, and bingo, slice it was! Got me right back in the middle of the fairway and a 165 yards further.

Spin
Every iron I hit produced good spin. Shots were nice and high, so they stopped on a dime. I had a 9 iron from 140 today back up 8 feet! SPIN INDEED!

Distance
No distance loss over my stronger lofted previous PING G5's. Still hit a 5 iron 200 yards consistantly. PW is 130. 7 iron is 170.

Forgiveness
Plenty for a mid handicapper. If your a decent ballstriker and find the center of the clubface 5 out of 10 you will still love these clubs. Heel and toe shots are penalized only slightly. Perfect forgiveness/playabilty blend.

Overall 5 out of 5. Love 'em!!!! Will never go back to the G5's or cast for that matter.

This is my 1st serious year of golf. I learned about 13 years ago when I was in 8th grade. Last year I bought my 1st set of clubs. I went out 5 or 6 times all year. This year I got serious and started going out 2/3 times a week. My ball striking was consistent. i hit a bunch of irons (basically all of them) and found the MP 60's to be the best feeling on a solid shot.
With the confidence behind the club, I feel like I can make a solid swing. mis hits lead to 10-15 yards short of my target. In my 1st serious year, I've been able to establish a mid-high handicap of 16. A great club, with a great feeling for an avg swing speed. I carry my 7 iron only 150 - 160 on the fly.
Though these clubs aren't too forgiving...they cause you to make a consistent swing plane for a clean hit. I'm definitely happy with them..and I baby them like crazy!

impulsive purchase on 7/3/07, played with them on 7/4------I hit the ball beautifully. The ball had a great feel on the club face.
Glad that I purchased them.

Been playing seriously for about 4 years. Have tried out most of the major named clubs. Taylor made are not bad, last set of Irons I had were Macgregor VIP pro combos. These irons were impressive until my brother asked me to try out the MP60's. WOW!You need to hit them to know how they feel! They are the best Irons I've had. Don't take my word for it, try them out.

I started golf inmy late sixtees,am now in early seventees.began with Ping I3+,tried several other Ping sets, and did ok with them, got down to twenty three handicap, then decided to try a blade like iron,so switched to the MP60 six months ago.My handicap is now 47,and have just shot a round of 175 on my Par 70 course.(with appropriate comments from members!)My confidence in my iron play is now such that I rarely use fairway woods on which I so depended. I did put in a lot practice, but am feeling the rewards. Now considering trying a blade! MP32?! There,s life in the old dog yet.Seriously my advice is improve your game by switching from( improver clubs) cavity backs. And get minimal offsets.

Recently, I found a set of MP60's 5-PW and MP HiFli in the 3 and 4 irons with DG S300's for sale on EBAY. I think the previous owner only tested them for a couple of rounds because they looked brand new. Had to have my babies back (I had to sell a brand new MP60 set last year).

I play to a 22 HCP, so, I'm not quite a mid-capper yet, but, usually can pull a low 40's for 9 and then blow up to 50's for the 2nd 9.

I can hit these irons and have only been playing for a couple years. Took them out today for the second time and shot an 85. The course was rated 70.2/131, so medium tough course, but, damn if the MP60's didn't hit nearly every green (unfortunately they were hard as rocks).

I also own a set of 3-PW Mizuno MX23's with DG S300's, and while they are great clubs, I never fell in love with them.

I don't care what anybody says about who should be using these well-made tools. If you are a decent ball-striker, then you can play the MP60's.

This is an 8 month update. Still loving these irons. I am very accurate with all of them now. changed my grips to a midsize and cured my draws. Now I am high and straight. You must have a reliable swing to play these guys. Best feel ever on all clubs. i am a jackass.

I had previously owned a set of MP-60's and sold them. I originally ordered them with DG S300 shafts. Big mistake on my part. I ordered another set through the Mizuno rep after hitting them again at a demo day. He recommended the Nippon shafts R flex. They made a big difference. I got back my lost yardage plus the great feel of a forged clubs.

Customer Service

I got them within 7 days. However, the lofts and lies were off. Fortunately I have a loft and lie machine and remedied the situation immediately. These clubs bend easily.
