ok here goes...... first of i dont care wat anyone says but mizuno mp30's are by far the best club on the market(with the exception of the mizuno mp33) for a long time a have been playing with cobra os cavity backs and had been looking to upgrade for quite some time... i tried titleist762 and found that although they looked nice at adress they lacked in a bit of feel. i tried the ben hogan apex edge and found that these clubs are possibly one of the hardest and bulkyness clubs in the price range (be good for some one off a 20+ handicap) the cleveland ta3 were very nice clubs but their face was a litle on the hard side. to be honest i do not see wat the fuss is about the taylormade LT's. they lack in feel and if you are into the more traditional look at adress you have came to the wrong place. in heinsight the mizuno mp30's have a perfect balanced head, great look at adress, great soft feel and all in all a perfect club. I GUESS THATS WHY THEY ARE THE NUMBER ONE PREFFERRED IRON ON THE TOUR :) Customer Service NA Similar Products Used: similar.... hmmm nothing is very similar to the mizuno |

I typically shoot in the upper 70s or low 80s, and after playing the last 20 yrs. with 1974 Staffs I spent the last 1-1/2 months looking for new irons. Before starting I thought that I'd buy Titleist or Cleveland. In the end it came down to the MP-30s, MP-33s and TM RAC LTs. I've probably hit over 250 balls with each of those 3 sets. Here's a summary: MP-30 Beautiful clubs with a boring trajectory. Felt like they were made for me. The long irons (3 & 4 - to me a 5 is a mid-iron) instill alot of confidence - I was wacking a 4 iron much longer than a 3 iron from my old set. Some forgiveness with mis-hits on the long irons. MP-33 If you can hit these and aren't afraid of the long irons, my recommendation is to buy them. I could hit the short & mid irons just as far as the slightly stronger lofted 30s, and mis-hits weren't much worse than mis-hits on the 30s. TaylorMade RAC LT These are nice, but felt a bit light for me - almost as if there wasn't enough momentum in the clubhead. I had the feeling that I could alter the clubface angle during the my downswing. Even though, these ranked #3 on my list. Oddly enough, I liked the Riflee 5.0 better than the 6.0 shafts on these. Titleist 690CB These felt very similar to the MP-30s, but felt a bit heavy in the clubhead for my swing. Cleveland (TA7 Tour, TA3 FF & TA1 FF) I really wanted to like these clubs, but they didn't feel as good as the Mizuno. I also hit them a bit shorter than both the 30s & 33s. The Verdict In the end, it was a toss-up between the MP-30s (better on long irons) & MP-33s (better on mid & short irons). I decided to purchase the 33s because the courses I play require very few long irons and 90% of the time I only play 9 holes & in mild weather. If any of these conditions were significantly different, I would have purchased the 30s. Before buying any clubs, I'd recommend hitting them off of real turf to see how they truly feel. After all, you won't be playing them on driving range mats when you're on the course! Replaced Ping I3+ with Mp30s this week. Went for Rifle Flighted 5.5 shafts, clubs are +3/4 in. otherwise standard. Shot my lowest round this year first time out. Clubs are fantastic. Great feel, probably 1/2 to 1 club longer than the Pings. Finally found nirvana. Disagree strongly with any comment that indicates these clubs are only for the better players. These guys just want to keep us hackers away from the good stuff !! Rifles are not so popular with the assistants at the club as they hit the ball too high with my clubs. But they are just right for me. Customer Service N/A |

WOW...great irons. I finally retired my 10 year old MP19's for the buttery soft MP30's. 1/2 a club longer distance despite 1/2 inch shorter shaft length vs my old MP19's. Great look at set up...very easy to hit straight...yet I can finally fade the long irons...a perennial challenge for me as I have a natural draw. All in all an excellent set of irons....highly recommended for us lefties! Similar Products Used: Mizuno MP19, Ping Eye 2 |

I have had the 30's for about 6 months. I have just started playing regularly with them for the last 2 months. Well I have to tell you that these irons are supurb. The distance is great, the trajectory is piercing, and the accuracy is phenominal. The clubs produce great distance control. If you hit your 9 iron 140, you better believe it is going to be in that range on every good shot. These irons feel so smooth, and you can take a divot without the club digging too much into the ground. These are really great clubs. Just make sure that you give them a nice easy swing, and let the clubs do the rest. Hurray!!! Mizuno Customer Service I have used them serveral times. Great Service. I got a 3-7 MX-20's combo with 8-P MP-30's. I wish that I had gotten the complete MP-30 set. Not that the MX-20's are bad because they are great clubs also, but the MP-30's are the greatest irons, and I'm a high handicapper. The clubs almost seems like they swing themselves. MP-30's are so accurate, and the distance is up there with the best of them. The clubs make you really concentrate on the ball and the results are very rewarding and consistent. I love these clubs. These are keepers.I also get compliments on there looks.I can't believe that these were mean't for the low handicap golfer. These are for anyone that want's to improve their game period! Who said High Handicaper can't hit these irons? Last game I hit the greens on all par3 with these clubs. Used to played the Callaway X-14 which is very forgiving but not accurate. After switched to MP-30, I can attach the pin with more confidence. These irons are laser accurate! Love it! These clubs force me to take each every shot more carefully which force me to watch out for those lazy swing. If you been taking lessons and know your swing when you do it wrong, these are the clubs for you, no matter your handicapp is - Just my humble opinion! Similar Products Used: Comp-EZ, Callway X-14, |

I tried out several set of irons of similar design to move up to a set of irons that I can feel and work the ball better, thus giving me a real feedback on my swing. At first my dilemma was choosing between clubs that in the short term will improve my score, or clubs that will improve my swing in the long run. I demoed the Titleist 762, Cleveland TA-7, Mizuno MP-33 and MP-30. All were great clubs, but since I realized that I can hit the MP-33s the decision came down to the Mizunos. Actually, I really liked the feel of the MP-33s, but I realized that it would be a quantum leap from my Callaways and that there will be off days that I may not hit them as well. The MP-30 gave me the the silky feel of the MP-33 and some foregiveness of a cavity back. I must tell you that I should have never questioned moving up to the Mizunos in the first place. I can hit the greens and work the ball better that I ever did. The long irons are truly accurate and more foregiving than I ever imagined. My swing is tighter now because of the discipline that these irons require. I have the MP-30s for three months now and although I haven't lowered my handicap to a single digit yet, I feel that I have a lot more confidence in my game now due to the fact that these irons made me a better ball striker. Highly recommended for low to mid handicappers. Customer Service Never used yet Similar Products Used: Titleist 762, Titleist 690 CB, Cleveland TA-7, Adams GT, Ping I3 Blade, Callaway X-14, |

Mizuno has came close to designing the perfect club in the MP-30 which provides the play ability of a true blade while provide the some of the forgiveness of a true cavity back. A great performing club in all area of the game. Partial cavity back provides some forgiveness on poor hits, while allowing the player to control ball flight and direction. Very consistant results on good swings, but expect to be penalized on poor swings and off center hits. This club should not be consider a true game improvement club, but a club for the better player who wants the feel and workability of a true muscle back blade while providing some forgiveness and game improvement features. Allows the player to control ball trajectory and direction. Easy to hit knock downs and high shots, plus working the ball left and right with control. Small head design and thin top line has the look at set up of a blade. Great feel and accuracy around the greens, plus smaller head and narrow sole makes getting through the rough easy. If you are a single digit handicap and are considering upgrading or purchasing new irons you should give the MP-30 serious consideration. Handicappers in the 10 to 15 range could also probably handle this club, but expecting to be penalized on poor swings and ball striking. Handicaps of 15+ would do well to consider a club designed more toward game improvement and forgiveness such as the Mizuno MX-20. One final bit of advice. Do not buy this club without being propertly fitted by a trained professional. You will not receive the maximum benfits and enjoyment from poorly fit clubs. Hit them straight and stay in the red numbers. Customer Service Have not needed to use. Similar Products Used: Mizuno MX-20 upgraded from these, Mizuno MP-33, CB690, Ben Hogan Apex Edge |

All i can say about these irons is WOW! I love the way they feel, and working the ball is so easy. The finish and quality is awesome! And i have noticed it is easy for just about anyone with a smooth swing to hit them. My 14 year old son can hit them just fine. I would reccomend them to anyone who plays quite a bit, but if you don't play alot, you really don't need them. The long irons are great, i love the trajectory on them, and the short irons are a dream. Working the ball has never been so easy! For some the long irons might be a little intimidating, and you might have trouble with them, but i think if you work with them enough you will enjoy them. Well thats about it. Thanks mizuno. Customer Service Haven't delt with mizuno before. Similar Products Used: Titleist DCI 762 (good irons), Hogan apex edge (good irons), and taylor made rac (also good) |
