I purchased these in May and have enjoyed every shot. I was tired of hitting a cast cavity back and not knowing what happened with the shot. Now when I hit a shot flush it feels like butter. During this summer I have made a significant improvement with my swing (this is a must) and my game due to using these clubs. Now when I hit a bad shot with these clubs it does the same thing as with the cast clubs. There is a misconception about these clubs because you can play just as well with these clubs compared to cast clubs. I am a 5.0 handicap and these are the second set of irons I have ever bought. I used to play with game-improvement Cleveland irons. I have been golfing for 4.5 years now. I don't have a lot of experience with other irons, but I have never swung irons like these in my life. I could go on ad nauseum, but I just have to say these irons are as good as advertised. They have a classic look. Great feedback. Excellent distance control. They give me confidence just being in my hands. I will likely play a Mizuno iron as long as my game lets me. Customer Service Excellent to this point. I had my irons, custom 2 upright and 3/4 inch extended, within 7 days of my order being placed. Similar Products Used: Cleveland TA4, TA3 |

I was in the market for a new set to replace my Titleist 981s and I had narrowed it down to the Mizuno MP-30s, Titleist 690cbs and Nike pro combos. Well I chose the Mizunos because they had: 1) MUCH better feel and feedback, 2) GREAT penetrating trajectory (due mainly to xstiff shaft and 1* strong loft) 3) MUCH better control. I did loss a bit of distance from my 981s (about 1/2 club) but that is probably because I went from a stiff shaft to an xstiff DG. The Titleist 690cb came in second only because I kept hitting a weak slice but once I went back to the Mizunos the slice disappeared. Also the feel was not on par with the Mizunos. The Nike PC were cr*p. nuff said. Customer Service Have not used. Similar Products Used: Titleist 981, 690cb. Hogan Apex plus (just as good as the Mizunos...a very good club). Nike pro combos. |

I actually purchased a combination set from Mizuno. 6 iron through PW the MP30 and 3 iron through 5 iron the MP20. These are by far the best irons I have ever used. I have never thought equipment could really make that much of a difference and I have been golfing for 20 years. I play once or twice a week and was a 5 handicap. Since buying these irons I have dropped to a 1. The lower trajectory and accuracy of the MP30's has been the difference along with going to an X shaft from an S. The Ping ZingII I played for the last 7 years had a much wider dispersion rate. I finally can hit knock down shots with some accuracy. The long irons (MP20) have just as good a feel as the MP30 and are forgiving enough to make them as easy to hit as my old Pings. They are also easier to hit out of the rough with the thin sole. I don't see myself ever changing from these clubs until I get to old to swing them! Customer Service Clubs arrived as scheduled and in perfect condition. All lofts and lies correct. |

Like a knife through butter. When the ball contacts the club face I can't even feel the impact. The low irons pw-7 are as easy to hit as a game improvemet club but provide the response and workability of a blade iron. the high irons 6-3 take a little getting used to. They too however provide good workability and response. Comparable iron sets I demoed before buying these irons were the cleveland Ta-3 form forged cavity back irons. they provided good workability and response as well but did not provide the supiror feel the 30's did. Foe the money though they are a solid option. Back to the mp-30's. My short game (shots 100 yards and in) has improved incredibly with the irons. the ability to work the ball to the gree and sto it are unparalled and feel with bump and run shots allows you to get the ball colse and keep it there. Like any new set of irons they take a little getting used to. If you are concidering these clubs take them to the range and hit them. see if you can get your self to work the ball and feel their response on quarter and half swing shots. Also bring the Ta-3 with you they are a good club for a little less money and will provide simmilar helpful information and inprovements to your game. Good luck and happy hunting. Customer Service Customer service was great. I had a set of ping isi-k irons that I purchased used from haris golf 3 years ago for $350. They gave me $300 for the clubs (very generous). Also by buying the clubs right then I was given a $100 discount. The clubs are a little spendy (799) but with the $400 off the sticker price the purchase was a little more reasonable. Similar Products Used: Ping I3+ blades and I3 o-size. Good sets for higher handicap players and mid handicapers didn't provide the response and workability I was looking for. I was looking to upgrade from my TM Supersteels for which a set of shovels would have been an improvement. They did lower my handicap to 17 from 30 but I felt I was missing some control and feedback that would take me to the next level. I was right. I did get the Mizuno's fitted by a Pro and had cord grips put on at the factory. What sweet set of irons. Dead on accurate and workable. I know when I hit them how far they are going. I did try the MX 20's and thought they were great too but I liked the looks of the MP 30's better and figured if I'm going to pay for new clubs I might as well get something with a little style. I enjoy playing and practicing with these clubs. They aren't more dfficult to hit than the Supersteels and would recommend them to any one who wants to improve their game provided they already have an OK swing. These are not a starter set of irons but if you are looking to upgrade to forged and want quality, I would give these a try. If you decide to order a set (Custom ordered on Monday, arrived by Friday), it is recommended to get these fitted unless you want to reinvent your golf swing. Exceptional irons. I was playing Powerbuilt TPS 6.0's & never felt comfortable with them, too bulky at address. I liked the look of Blades, but couldn't hit them right. I demo'd the MP30 and whammo! Perfect fit. I'll break it down for you. Looks: Simple, classic look. From address, they look like a Blade. Minimal offset, smaller head. Beautiful. Feel: There is a difference between forged and cast, and you don't have to be a scratch golfer to feel it. Good shots feel like butter, smooth. Workability: If you're good enough to work the ball, you can do so easily with these irons. I'm a good ball striker, but can't work the ball at will. On the range I can work the ball 4 out of 10 tries. So as I improve, I can do so with these irons. Distance: Longer than my Powerbuilts, but I attribute that to taking lessons. Accuracy: Dead on. EVERY TIME. If I need to hit a 170 yard shot, I know it's a 7 iron. This has taken at least 8 strokes off my game. Lazer like! Forgiving: A bad shot is a bad shot, no matter what your swinging, PERIOD!!! I have found these to be forgiving in one area however. If you "chunk" it, or hit it fat, the ball at least goes straight - For me. You lose distance, but at least you can find your ball. Quality: Top notch. Got about 25 rounds on them & no signs of wear. The "MYTH": You don't have to be a superstar to play these irons. The smaller head makes me concentrate more on my swing. I swing nice and easy & the ball just goes. I've had bad days with my Driver (983k) and bad days with my Putter (more than I can count unfortunately!). I've NEVER had a bad day with my irons. I'm really happy with these sticks. No matter what kind of golfer you are, you owe it to yourself to try these irons. I can't say enough about them. Thay are fantastic & will be in my bag until they wear out! Customer Service Never needed. Similar Products Used: Powerbuilt TPS 6.0. Nice clubs as well, but no comparison to the MP-30's. |

I've written reviews here before, some really great clubs mind you but this is a completion of a 2 yr journey to replace my ram fx2 FORGED cavity-back irons..... I haven't been on the course yet and I can tell this is what I've needed. Being lefthanded the selection for clubs can get frustrating. Lady luck has to play a part. Having said that, I've tried many tour quality irons (see below) but for some reason or another they have fallen short of my HIGH expectations! These however make me complete again. FEEL: first set of mizuno's owned, and in a word... IMPECCABLE! SMOOOOOOOOTH, SOLID CLUBS WITH SOME MASS PLAYABILITY: high factor I'm sure when they get on the course... TRAJECTORY: PERFECT, high penetrating flight LOOKS: EYE POPPINGLY GOOD!!!! sets up square and clean and consistent throughout the set, no radical changes IN conclusion walk, no run out and get a set of these regardless of hdcp... this set is a KEEPER!!!!!! Brilliant irons ! It has shaved off about 4 strokes off my handicap within months of playing. This is achieved by the fact that the club has great feel, and fantastic consistancy. When hit well.. the ball floats off the surface like a squash ball. Effortless. Similar Products Used: Mizuno Technics Bora |
