Mizuno H-Fli 18degree, & 21 degree
I tested the 18 deg, in the process of looking at a 21 deg from replacement of my 3 iron for my Nichlaus VCG 3 iron. My intent was to improve my consistency of hitting 200 plus yards with accuracy. In my testing, I found an iron that was forgiving, gave me a straight ball or a nice draw. The 18 degree also gave me an avg distance of 250 plus! The result was that I have purchased an 18 deg & a 21 deg. The best drives in one week of use are 270 to 285 yards! This iron removes my uneasy feeling on tight fairways, has garnished statements from my friends like, "Why don''t you get rid of your driver", and will replace my 3-wood, when I thought it would replace the 5-wood. I plan on adding the 24 deg to my set. Gentleman, these irons give you distance with accuracy, feel like you have never had in a cast iron, and accuracy that builds confidence. When you do hit one off center, the results are not a major catastrophe! So what have you got to loss! Give them a try and you will be pleasantly surprised. It will change the way you feel about driving irons! |

Mizuno Fli-Hi, 21*, 24*
These things are great! I play PingZing irons & love them, but have replaced the 3,4 irons with the Fli-Hi 21* & 24*. It has revolutionized my approach to the longer holes. Playing partners say, "I''ve never seen you hit a 3 iron that high!" The Fli-His are very solid through the ball, nice flight and have completely taken away my fear of the long iron shots. Like the Ping irons, their lie angles can be tweaked to fit your swing. They come with the Sensicore shaft standard and it is great! Don''t bother with the graphite, it''s a good shaft, but the Sensicore is wonderful, and cheaper. If you dread the thought of hitting your 3 or 4 iron, these are definitely worth a try. After about 10 rounds with ''em I''m hooked. Way to go Mizuno. Customer Service Haven''t used Similar Products Used: Cleveland Launcher driving iron. |

Mizuno Fli-Hi
As someone who previously used the Alien driving iron, notice I said ''used'', I now have a new weapon of destruction. What caught my eye was Frank Lickliter crushing a shot with it in the Mercedes Championship. when first purchased, it had the stock S300 steel shaft. A little too whippy for me. Good shots but could use improvement. I''ve since replaced the shaft with an X100 Rifle shaft. OOOhhh man. Average 285+ yds. off the tee. Massive and majestic best describe the flight. My playing partners were just as excited as I was. Buy the Fli-Hi, love yourself just a little more. Similar Products Used: Alien 14 deg. DI |

Mizuno Fli Hi 18*

None Hmmm...this club is umm...great! It takes a bit getting used to the look of it at address but it works just fine. I should admit that I''m a big time Mizuno fan and supporter however, I''ll do my best to deliver an accurate review and not let my bias shine through. I bought the Fli Hi 18* with TT Sensicore steel stiff shaft. Good shaft for this club but a little on the light side. The 18* has a standard 40 inch length shaft which is compared to a standard 2 iron. The Fli Hi has good length and control, with the proper swing of course, and seems to promote more confidence than a 5 wood. I say that because after playing this club in the fairway even with a slight fade it wouldn''t run too far into trouble. I had reservations about it off the tee until I saw Frank Lickliter a Mizuno tour pro hit his off the tee over 300 yards in the Mercedes last week. I would suggest teeing it up like you would a 15* degree 3 wood. I tried teeing it up like my 18* 5 wood and it seemed too low. This club is a great substitute for those who struggle with the 2 & 3 irons. In the fairway it promotes confidence on those long par 4''s and/or those holes when you hit a weak tee shot. All in all this club works well off the deck and in the tee box. Already I''ve managed 200 plus in the tee box and off the deck. In the tee box I think it works well b/c of its design. Mizuno has done a good job at making this club into a bulky iron. Unlike the Taylor Made Rescue club that has the fairway metal backing. Off the deck demands a better swing but 190-200 is no big deal with this club even if its leaking to the right. Oh, I forgot to mention that this club is forged so Mizuno continues to give us that butter soft feeling. Gotta luv Mizuno... Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Taylor Made Rescue |

None These utility irons are great!!! I have the 21* s-300, Very easy to hit. Longer shaft than my 3-iron, but hits easily like an 8 iron. Surprisingly easy to work the ball with this club. In my opinion it feels better than the forged woods. Worth every, cent. Customer Service Tried it at a mizuno demo day. The rep. was very helpful, knowledgeable and patient. Mizuno Fli 18* and 21*

None These iron woods rule. Great feeling and easy to hit. I bought mine with the Sensicore S300 shafts. The 18* produces 200 plus yard the 21* gets me 180 yards plus off the fairway. Off the tee, these things are incredible and accurate. I''m planning on getting the 24* soon, to complete the set. Thes clubs last weekend help me to drop several stokes from my game. I picked mine up for $99.00 each Customer Service Not used Similar Products Used: None |

FLI-HI
Strength:
None
Weakness:
None Spotted the new FLI-HI in a local driving range. No problem off the carpet or the rubber tee. Ball flew off the club red hot, high and landed softly with 21 degree, feel like I was hitting my 7 iron. Straight and effortless, much easier to work the ball compared with Adams i wood, similar values (could be similar to orlimar''s coring iron). Don''t know how it behaves in the rough yet. Make sure you try diff shafts, firm graphite work for me on the 21 degree. But the steel (stiff) work best for me with 18 degree. I was very surprise to be able to hit 18 degree, 180-190 yards, very consistently. later I found out it is sensicore shaft, excellent feel. I have Adams ST woods cover these distances, but always want to have an option to hit long iron shot with pin point accuracy, this is it. I just have all the distances covered with diff clubs consistently after 5 months into golfing. Putting is not quite there to drop the score. For starter like me, this is club to boost my confidence on the long iron, similar to orlimar''s scoring iron. Price varies quite a bit, this case, local shop beat the online stores.
