I was fitted for a set of these in May. I've only played 3 rounds with them, but love them already. When you hit them well, there is no sound or feel like it. The cavity backs on the long irons allow for greater forgiveness than a standard blade and the full blade short irons impart a lot of spin and allow for cuts and draws. Miss-hits tend to go straight, but shorter. I shoot in the high 80s and love them. Similar Products Used: Armour Evo V-31 |

MacGregor 1025CM iron set
I am a bit of a demodayho. I have spent more than 40 hours in the past month demoing clubs in the great outdoors. Three things are for sure. MacGregor is back as a provider of top quality golf clubs. Sweet feeling forgings can be forgiving. And it has to be the best kept secret in golf. The 1025CM's are the best execution of the combo design set. I have tried the Hogan's, Mizuno's, Nike's, Titleist's and Cobra's at length and they don't compare to the overall appeal of the MacGregors. The 1025CM cavitybacks in the 3-6 irons are easy to get up and quite kind to off center hits. The muscleback 7-PW give authority and spin to my short iron shots. And the ballstrike doesn't have to be perfect. These are not your father's punitive forgings. The choice of the Flighted Rifle shafts is perfect for the transitional combo set. The tip variance from low(softer) to high(firmer)irons helps me get the long irons up, and gives some oomph to my short irons. The big payoff is the feel of a well struck ball. The 1025 mild carbon is exceptional. Feedback on off center hits is present but doesn't send you looking for a medicine kit. If you are a reasonable ball striker, I suggest you give these a demo/try. When I say I shoot in the 80's, that's the high 80's. And I can handle them just fine. They really are "forging made easy". Customer Service No reason to use them so far. In response to the scratch golfer who recieved the clubs "no charge from the factory. Why "unless a relative" owns Mac would they give a "scratch golfer" probably a public course player a set of clubs? and in this case why would anyone also belive the review? |

Outstanding combination of feel, looks, performance and forgiveness. I chose these over my Mizuno Pro IIs for the forgiveness in the long irons. They practically swing themselves. They maintain a classic look as well. The best set of irons I have bought. Customer Service Factory took a week to ship out a set of customs. Plus quarter-inch length, 1/32 oversize. Quicker than most factory's stock orders. |

These are possbily my best golf investment. These clubs have an excellent feel and have added consistency to my game. They also look great. Macgregor is often overlooked because few golf shops carry them. My advice is to hunt them down and hit them. You won't be sorry. |

These are the best forged irons I have ever hit. I went to demo days looking for a set of forged clubs, I tried all brands the Macgregor v-foil irons were just the best, they look good, feel good and play great. I bought the 1025cm set with the Rifle Flighted 6.0 stiff steel shafts, I play a lot of long golf courses and the 1025cm works the best for me. Great clubs. |

I traded in my game improvement irons because I wanted irons with less offset and better feel. I tried every forged iron out there (blade and cavity). I went with the MacGregor mixed set because they felt and setup beautifully. This is a great set of irons. Long irons are easy to hit and short irons or pinpoint. If you are in the market for new irons or are just tired of the ones you currently own, you must check these out. Customer Service I had mine adjusted 2 degrees upright. They were in my hands in a week. |
